For those choosing flavor over ambiance, La Mexicana is a clear winner. It's a large grocery store…read morewith a phenomenal butcher in the back. Some of the best cuts of goat and beef that I've ever seen, for a very reasonable price. The shelves were stocked full of various dried chillis, canned foods, rice, fresh fruits and vegetables, and much more. This isn't the reason why I came here though. Walking through the main entrance, an immediate right, takes you straight to the takeout counter. There, behind a class case, is a selection of freshly cooked Mexican food. There's choices of pork, beef, and chicken, cooked in various ways. Lechon, chicharron, carnitas, bistek, and much more, along with rice, beans, etc. I decided on a lechon burrito grande, went to the register to pay, then came back, and was handed my burrito, after my receipt was verified. Then I headed over to the condiments station, and added some onion, cilantro, chopped cabbage with sliced pickled jalapenos, and some green salsa to my burrito. I was quite surprised when I bit into my burrito, but it was just the juicy succulent meat, wrapped in the tortilla. No rice, no beans, nothing else; just meat inside the tortilla. The most authentic Mexican eats that I've had in Texas. I can't wait to come back here. One thing to note, many of the employees on spoke Spanish, and I was the only non-Spanish speaking customer at the time. I had no issues communicating and felt welcomed here.

Quite a few pre seasoned meats. Fresh pork rinds which were really GOOD! Small deli up front eat in or to go. I like it.

We heard great things about Circle H but what a disappointment! We purchased 2 top sirloin steaks (…read moretotal two pounds ) and they were very tough and had little taste. We ate less than half and threw the remainder away. We also bought some fajita beef so we're hoping it's better or at least good enough to eat all of it. We won't be returning.

Came here…read moreabout four times (every week since I saw it) now and every time I come, I usually have a really good experience and the quality of meat is always pretty good. I spend almost couple hundred dollars each time I go and this last time I bought a seasoning and when I got home to use it, it was unsealed and the seasoning was pretty hard so I assumed that maybe some moisture got into it. I went back to go see if I can exchange it for a new one and the blonde lady that was working there, not sure if she's the owner or whatever but stared at me as if I was just talking out of my ass, then walked over to the seasonings just to then talk to me like I was stupid and acted like I didn't know what i was talking about or I was lying about it being opened and then tried to convince me that all of the seasonings Are like that. She also said that the lid most likely tore the seal off itself, which that has never happened to me before but either way, the seasoning was hard, and there was no telling how long it had been open on the shelf. Some of them did stick closer to the top, but once you shook it, it all easily broke apart, the one I have is almost completely solid from top to bottom. EITHER WAY, I would've loved a seasoning that was completely sealed when I open it. Instead of just exchanging the $12 seasoning after spending almost $200 there just a couple days before, she gave me a really hard time about it and was super rude and basically told me none of the other seasonings were any better like a "too bad, so sad" attitude. I just said OK and she just walked right back to the front without saying another word to me. Her facial expressions and the way she quickly dismissed me was just so uninviting and disrespectful and me and my toddler just walked out. We won't be going back there. I'll find a new place to get our meat.

DELICIOUS! I actually heard about this place from a Reddit post about places to stop on a road trip…read moreacross Texas and I'm so glad I listened! It's home cooked food, calories-not-monitored, but worth every single bite. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I knew it was going to be good when we saw the parking lot was overflowing into the grass. Luckily there was still an open table inside and we were welcomed by the sweetest staff and our waitress was just as wonderful. So many things looked good on the menu, but I couldn't resist ending this road trip with another taste of chicken fried steak to compare to Mary's (and they can definitely compete because it was AWESOME)! We also tried the chicken fried chicken (delicious), sweet potato casserole (amazing), Mae's potato casserole (tasty), cheese sticks (good), and the hamburger and fries which was obviously delicious enough that my picky daughter almost finished it - which says a LOT! We were very glad that we'd ordered the "smaller portions" for lunch because it meant we could grab a few of the desserts to go to snack on for our final leg of the road trip and keep enjoying at home. We tried the toffee cake (incredible), peanut butter cake (sinfully good), and the coconut pie (very light and creamy)! We also snagged some items to take home with us from their coolers and I can 100% recommend their pork tamales and summer sausage. If you get the chance to stop here, you won't regret it at all! Delicious, great service, and good portions!

My husband got the deluxe breakfast. The hashbrowns were greasy, obviously not reconstituted, and overcooked. He chose a pancake instead of the biscuit and gravy. His pancake took forever to receive. It was thin and tasteless. I've had better from a Bisquick box! My tortilla was greasy. Barely recognizable as a tortilla. Had I not been genuinely hungry, I would have sent it back. I managed to eat two triangles. I tried to cover up some of the greasiness with their salsa. I've had better salsa from Old El Paso. It was watery and flavorless. That seemed to be the overall theme for this meal. Flavorless and thin on cooking prowess. Had the waitress not been friendly, I would have given only one star. $25 for barely edible anything!?! Never never again.

Perini Ranch Steakhouse is outstanding!…read more The 16-ounce ribeye was excellent. The beef quality was superb--thick-cut, tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned without overpowering its natural flavor. While the edges were cooked slightly beyond medium due to the uneven cut, that's a very minor critique. The grilled asparagus was delicious, and the green chile hominy was absolutely amazing. Overall, I would give Perini Ranch Steakhouse a 98 out of 100. The food, atmosphere, and quality were exceptional, making it one of the best of the steakhouses I've experienced.

I left Perini Ranch Steakhouse disappointed, especially given all the hype and glowing reviews…read more We were seated outside at 5 PM when it was about 95 degrees. The outdoor seating consisted of old wooden tables and benches that were uncomfortable, and the heat alone made it difficult to enjoy the meal. To make matters worse, we spent the entire dinner fighting flies. The steaks were around $50 each, and honestly, they were underwhelming. They lacked seasoning and flavor, especially for the price point. I've had better-seasoned steaks at Texas Roadhouse and Outback for roughly half the cost. The sides were equally disappointing: bland, uninspired, and forgettable. The bread pudding was decent and was probably the best part of the meal. Overall, the combination of uncomfortable outdoor seating, excessive heat, flies, and mediocre food made for a frustrating experience. I had heard so many great things about Perini Ranch Steakhouse and expected something special, but it simply didn't live up to the reputation.
