I told him I wanted whatever is usually in it. My dad picked up an ice cream cup that was on top of the ice cream cover, the glass, and showed him the size cup he wanted, the employee rolled his eyes at him. Seriously?! An employee rolling his eyes at a customer right in front of his face?! He should be fired! I asked him why he just rolled his eyes, and he said he wasn't supposed to touch that cup. Are you serious? It's a cup that's not being used for customers, it's a display. And if you don't want it touched, move it out of reach . Now, there was a sign posted on the glass window that covers the buckets of ice cream that said "do not touch", but we thought it meant the glass, not the example cups displayed for sizes! Their costs are ridiculous. With what happened on Saturday, we now, are thinking we'll never go back. And neither will the other 14 family members we meet there throughout the year for special occasions! We're done dealing with smart aleck, rude employees. The service is horrible, no ambience, and the ice cream, I could make at home!

I'm addicted to key lime pie, so you can imagine how my taste buds were tingling! I ordered one scoop in a cup. Their scoops are huge! It was thicker and more creamy than regular ice cream. Absolutely delicious! A very smooth lime taste that I will definitely get again. But I also like chocolate, so next time will have to be a triple scoop variety. We all scream for ice cream!

Of course I went on the first day, let's not break tradition. I got the Grande breakfast burrito combo on my first visit and it was huge for the money. Braum's combo is your choice of burrito, hash browns, and coffee or soft drink for $4.89. A heck of a deal, and the burritos are delicious, in my opinion. I LOVE their hash browns! Mike got a hot cinnamon roll and coffee for about the same price. The second day they're open, we're back! This time it's afternoon and 90 degrees. Ice cream time! I will say, that was nice. They were all very excited. The boys asked for sample cups and the girl said they didn't have them while telling them she had just cleaned the counter for them not to lean on it. I looked over and two of the boys were filling their cups a bit and tasting, as I was opening my mouth to tell them to stop- the girl says from the counter that now she's going to have to clean those too. Then I asked about the 6 out of 14 flavors not working, she said they were out. One of the boys asked if one of the machines was supposed to be watery, she just walks over and turns that light on top of the flavor off. The coffee machine was broken as well. I honestly wasn't impressed with her attitude- I know kids are annoying but it was only 6:20 and they closed at 8. The kiddos played a couple of board games that are offered while they ate their frozen yogurt and she was correcting them constantly. We ordered two waffle cones, which were advertised as $3.75 each. However, when we got our total, it came out to $10.70. Confused, we asked about the discrepancy, and the staff casually said, "Oh, that's just tax." But after doing the math (8.25% combined state and city tax), that just didn't add up-it should've been $0.61 in tax, not nearly $3 more. We went back in to get clarification, only to be told that the cone prices had recently increased by $1 each. Even with that adjustment, the math still didn't work. It feels like they're just making up numbers and overcharging customers, which is incredibly frustrating. It's a shame because we're in town all week and had planned to come back nightly, but after this experience, we won't be returning at all. I hate to say it, but it feels like they're stealing money from people. Proceed with caution if you decide to stop by!
