The food was really good and flavorful. You can tell this place has been here a long while. Ack to the service. I absolutely love this place and their hospitality. I can't say enough about how well I was treated. Again the food was delicious but man they should be proud on service.

I'm giving this bathroom eight points out of ten, That's near a perfect review from this old man. Perini Ranch Steakhouse is outstanding!…read more The 16-ounce ribeye was excellent. The beef quality was superb--thick-cut, tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned without overpowering its natural flavor. While the edges were cooked slightly beyond medium due to the uneven cut, that's a very minor critique. The grilled asparagus was delicious, and the green chile hominy was absolutely amazing. Overall, I would give Perini Ranch Steakhouse a 98 out of 100. The food, atmosphere, and quality were exceptional, making it one of the best of the steakhouses I've experienced.

We took the onions and cucumbers off our salad due to dietary issues and that left us with lettuce, mushrooms, and dressing. Our burger was the best part. It was cooked well, and the bun was soft. The strawberry shortcake was disappointing. The fruit was stewed and the biscuits were hard with just room temp heavy cream to offset the temperature of the fruit. For ambiance, it was nothing to write home about. Very busy and very loud, but it was a Saturday evening so that was to be expected. What I didn't expect was the lack of air conditioning in July. It was over 100 degrees that day, and it was cooler outside. Unacceptable for Texas in July when you're seating tables 3' from each other. Our server was good. She was attentive, and kept our water glasses filled. We may try again once the weather cools down.

I ordered the brisket and it was tender juicy, and packed with flavor. The BBQ sauce they serve complements the meat perfectly; it had just the right balance of sweetness and tang. Now, onto the sides! I tried their potato salad for the first time and while I must admit I've always been a fan of the chunky variety, this non-chunky version was surprisingly decent. It had a creamy texture that was nice but I still prefer a bit more heft in my potato salad. The cole slaw had a crunchy, fresh and had a nice zesty kick that paired well with the BBQ brisket. Overall, Sharon's BBQ is a solid choice if you're craving some good barbecue. I'll definitely be back for more mouthwatering meat and to see how their other sides stack up!

Whether you are a fourth generation Texan or just passing through the Lone Star State, The Ball…read moreRanch is a very fun way to spend an evening out with friends or family. It is "toe-tapping, Western-swing at its finest!" The venue is a short drive outside of Abilene (less than 8 miles) and seats more than 200 people and can easily accommodate families, friends, anniversary parties or birthday parties. And even on the hottest days in Texas, the temperature in the venue (a new, modern barn) is very pleasant. The evening includes a home-cooked BBQ dinner (usually brisket, sausage, chicken, "tater salad" and beans, followed by homemade peach cobbler) cooked by the members of the Ball Family. Following dinner you will be entertained with a wonderful live musical performance by Gary and Sue Ball and their youngest daughter, Sherry Ball Luster. By way of background, the Ball Family is a third generation musically blessed family. The entire family sings, plays the guitar and writes many of their own songs. They are just as we say in Texas "good people." So the next time you are looking for a fun way to spend a Saturday evening, be sure to call the Ball Family ... I promise it will be worth your while! As this is the first review on Yelp, you can also view their Website at http://www.theballranch.com/. More pictures and information is available on their site. Have fun, y'all!
