Classic food. Great ambience. Really enjoyed all of it. Happy hour and this meal forced me into an afternoon nap. Chili relleno was excellent.

El Felix has a long, long history. We went so often that Olivia, the owner got to know us! The food and the patio have made it a family favorite for a long time! But Olivia retired, the restaurant closed for a while , and now there are new owners. But they have remodeled, which is a good thing! They say the recipes are the same but the food is a little different. But that's ok, cause the food is still really good! Glenda got chicken quesadillas, and I got the supreme nachos. Both were excellent. Glenda has also tried the green sauce enchiladas, and I tried the Olivia's plate, both very good. There is a new bar, so you can have a margarita! And nothing beats a beautiful evening on the courtyard patio. It's just beautiful! Y'all come eat!

My parents brought myself & siblings here in the 70's. This place is nostalgic with complimentary upgrades in decor, seating & lighting. The staff & service are spot on...friendly, prompt & all appear genuinely happy to be here. Owner & manager both actively involved in the business, delivering food/drinks to tables. Friendly laid back ambiance. Available seating in the courtyard with live music on Thursday nights. Thank you for bringing El Fenix back!!

I never eat the entire plate......I did today

They had a special brunch buffet going on but we opted for the regular brunch menu and it did not disappoint! My husband had the Smokehouse breakfast, I had the a Biscuits & Gravy, and we shared the pancakes. We didn't get our servers names but she was very sweet and friendly! We loved it all and this is definitely going to be on our regular rotation for brunch spots!

(chips were pretty good) The salmon was overcooked and the grilled broccoli practically raw. This meal was so underwhelming it reminded me of maybe something you might pick up in a grocery store in that section where people who don't cook go to get ready-made meals. It was right at that level. Service- Two or three stars. Mediocre. I've been here once before, btw, and that experience was probably an overall 3-star. This time was right before a show at the convention center next door. You'd think that maybe the restaurant would have been prepared for a crowd? Apparently not, since our food was slow to come (the table next to us had both of their steaks comp'ed due to slow service and not being cooked as asked). When I asked for a wine list, the server stated that he would "try to find one", and it took awhile. And the restaurant was probably only about 60% full. I mean, if I'm going to wait forever for my food, at least let me be drinking while I wait! The appetizer arrived with our food, btw. Love that... Ambiance: Five Stars. The restaurant looks nice. Get your act together, Smokehouse! It would be nice if we could count on a nice meal before a show without having to Uber to and from the hotel/venue for it.

If I could give ZERO STARS I would and only for this one important reason - READ ON! Thank goodness…read moreI went to Rosa's (Catclaw location) with a (guy) friend. It was an early dinner meal. I was visiting from out of town and this was my second time going - I had enjoyed my first meal so much that I wanted to come back again before leaving town. We ordered and paid upfront and then picked a nice table location, got our drinks and salsa from the salsa bar and sat down to wait for our order to be called. My friend decided to go to the bathroom while we were waiting. When he came back, he asked if I had any hand sanitizer (I did not). He revealed that the men's bathroom was SO FILTHY AND DISGUSTINGLY DIRTY that he didn't want to even touch the faucet handles to wash his hands it was that bad! I was so disgusted at the image I conjured up that we immediately without hesitation just got up and left. Without our food! You know what they say about restaurants that don't bother to keep their bathrooms clean... Ewwwwwwwwwww! CUSTOMERS BEWARE. I don't care how good the food looks or tastes. The workers HAVE TO take bathroom breaks at some point in their shift! Better believe they see it! AND THEY GO BACK INTO THE KITCHEN TO COOK AND HANDLE THE FOOD WE EAT?!!! Ewwwwwwwwwwwwww. Not stepping foot into a Rosa's again and surprised the health department hasn't been to this location for an inspection!
