Fuzzy's is not one of my favorites, so I haven't been here in years. I recently saw new lower prices on taco Tuesday. We went for breakfast and it was delicious! Tacos were just as big as where we nor go, and definitely cheaper! I did chorizo and egg and a bacon and egg. Both were big and deliciou! We'll definitely come back on tuesdays. One note. The tacos were so good I got 2 to go. When we got home, the tacos were definitely smaller than the ones we ate at the restaurant. Next time, I'll order for in restaurant, and wrap them to go myself. See you next Tuesday! read more

Mmmmmm FINALLY a good mexican style food spot. Im very impressed. good fish taco, in flour tortilla. Had the grilled chicken bowl, very tasty and the bowl is big, I couldnt finish it in one sitting. They have a souvenir cup, when you bring it back with you its .99 refill, i do like this idea. 2nd visit: 7:30 pm on Monday, the bar section is busy. Wowzers, the birria taco was delicious. It really taste like the birria that i have from Sonora, México. Whoever makes this, bravo! The crispy cheese just added to the deliciousness. Also had the birria bowl, not to spicy, it looks like pickled onions, black beans, crispy tortilla chips and just all goodness. Its clean, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The outside seating has misting for hot days. Everyone was nice and welcoming. No table service, order first and your given a buzzer when ready. Try the birria! read more

The food was good. They have improved their salsa and queso, delicious. The guacamole was a hit as well. The birria tacos were very tasty but I feel they were small and I only got two, I felt there should have been three. Three is what I usually get at other restaurants so maybe it's more of a mindset for me. The service was questionable. There was a young girl taking the orders and she was good in the register and I could tell she knew the menu which I appreciated. While my friend and I ordered our food, I saw maybe one half smile and she amended a total of 6 times during the order. Yes, I began counting after the first. She seemed to be a good worker as I watched her fill the ice machines and clean tables etc... I just felt she was lacking in customer interaction. She seemed like she didn't want to be there. The restaurant itself was clean and the cooks were working hard to get food out. It was all out in a timely manner. The bartender seemed to know his clientele and was having multiple conversations with them while serving drinks. This tells me it was a regular watering hole for locals. I have also been to the Judge Ely location and my advice is, if you're looking to take your kids or have a little family time, the Judge Ely location is the place to go. If you're looking to take a date out or have drinks and good food with a group of friends then this Turner Plaza location is the place to be. read more

Food quality as well as the quality of bar drinks has taken a huge dip. We had our favorite, margaritas, and left more than half in each drink. We ordered the Head Honcho nachos and left two thirds of the dish untouched. So very disappointed as well as dissatisfied with the service, the food and the drink quality. read more

Wow, hi kill a business in five seconds. Came in to eat, but staff was too busy with their drama conversation about other staff to be customer friendly. Made me feel like I was an inconvenience for coming to their establishment. Duly noted I will not return. read more

I am a fan of Fuzzy's. I ate at my first on in Fort Worth before the spread. This one in Abilene is a semi regular stop. Today it was lunch and their shredded brisket salad was consistently good! The staff was friendly and dealing with credit card machine issues that they handled with grace. Maybe my favorite part of this location is their large all season patio. read more

Went to eat there yesterday. The girl taking our order at the front register must've been new because she took forever to take our order. And she also didn't know how to answer questions. I got shredded chicken nachos and a drizzle of queso cheese across it with a huge amount of chips. I actually don't want to eat just chips with shredded chicken on it, so they need to add more queso cheese on top. We shouldn't have to buy extra queso to cover more chips when there's not, but a drizzle on them in the first place. I would pay a dollar more to add a decent amount of the queso. They also do not have pickled jalapeños. Some of us don't want the grilled ones, and def don't want the fresh ones because they are usually too hot. Idk if I'll give it another try. I have been to the Twisted Root Burger Company which is right next door. They are excellent. read more

February 13-2023. We stopped by at 1:15. The lunch crowd had thinned out. I ordered the California Heat Baja taco. Auntie ordered the quesadillas and dad ordered the Queso. FYI: The paper menu had not been re-printed to reflect menu price increases. We ordered at 1:20 and received the meal at 1:25. Quick service and accurate. Everything was good. Really good. Makes me want to try the one I have in my hometown. Also the interior was bright fun colorful and clean. All in all I give it four stars. read more

Need to update my negative review over 7 years old. Fuzzy's has become my go to burrito place. Being Baja Mexican, it tastes a bit lighter than other places. The brisket nachos also are good. It is counter service, so you don't deal with the staff much. That doesn't mean the staff is bad, just that they shouldn't be making your lunch/dinner good or bad. Operates like a fast food place but feels more inviting than a fast food place. Also priced like a fast food place. They won me over, went from hating the place to loving it. read more

So, it was Feiday night 6:30, July 11th. I've never been so I met a friend there by his request. The girl behind the register, short dark hair, was amazing. I'm sad I didn't get her name. She asked for our order. I don't know,. I've never been. She made a recommendation of the Taco plate. She asked what tacos I wanted. I dont know, you pick your favorite! She asked if i liked apicy. Yes, pkease. 2 sides? You choose. I'll trust you! Not only was it delicious, it was fantastic. AND she came around to ask if i like it. Yes! The bartender, blond lady, Lott of tatts, including her neck, was ON it at the bar! Never misssd a beat and she was busy! I loved it! I will definitley go back! Greet food. Great atmosphere and excellent customer service! read more

Yani is a great bartender!! very fast and super sweet!!! Really appreciate her hard work

Hands down the absolute best fish tacos in town!! The Baja fish tacos are insanely good!! From the crispy batter, to the pickled onions, crunchy cabbage and spicy sprinkle on top, their fish tacos are on a whole different level!! They also offer a triple dip, queso, salsa and guacamole. That is our go to. Fuzzy's quickly became our "spot" every Saturday to unwind. So much so that their manager George Applin took notice to us. He is super friendly, kind and cool!! Always asking if we want our extra pico!! I highly recommend Fuzzy's for their delicious food, friendly team members and relaxed atmosphere!! George Applin is killing it in Abilene, Texas!! read more

I am new to Texas and I recently tried the brisket burrito at this establishment and I was thoroughly impressed. The burrito was generously sized and filling. The meat-to-filling ratio was spot on, ensuring each bite was a mix of brisket and fillings. I really liked the guacamole as to me it didn't taste like it was out of a package. One standout feature was their verde sauce, it added a flavorful kick to the burrito that complemented the brisket perfectly. read more

You know, I love me some Fuzzy's but yesterday morning I was appalled. Went to get breakfast, and a "regular" was there at the bar constantly belching and the staff accepted it and the manager flipped them off. Wow just wow. So very unprofessional and I no longer wish to frequent this establishment. I had to get the rest of my food to go because I was so grossed out after hearing him belch my entire meal and the Fuzzy's team accepting it. Don't know that I will ever go back to this Fuzzy's. In a world where people lie and deceive about offering true, delicious tacos- one business decided to take a stand and fight for us all. Fighting through the imposters, the corporate fraudsters, the wannabes, and the ruthless street vendors, they emerged the victors. They fired up their fryers, sharpened their knives, greased up their spatulas and opened their doors to present the most powerful taco menu ever created in Abilene's city limits. But was that enough? Were they satisfied to simply be the best taco they place West Texas and the Big Country had ever seen? Of course not. They grabbed their tequilas and beers and ensured that they were also the best place to get a michelada in the entire State of Texas. Undaunted by all the mixes, the pre-mades and the posers, they brought about a bar that spat in the face of those who simply added alcohol to their taco menus. They said, why be the place that people eat after drinking, when we can be the place they eat WHILE drinking? With the courage inspired by chancla-bearing Abuelas everywhere, they brought the beer, the drinks, the storefront, the service and game-over good tacos to life. So why go eat ordinary or sub-standard when out of this world is merely no more than 20 minutes from any point in Abilene? So what are you waiting for? Get in the car, get down to the outdoor patio where all the cool kids hang out in a laid-back environment and put a taco in one hand and a beer in the other and EAT! read more

The food is great and the service is above any other Fuzzy's tacos I have been to. George is the manager and he is amazing hard working and makes you feel like family. Food was great and Brittany was an amazing bartender she really made the visit relaxing and fun.

Came at lunch on a Tuesday and it was disgusting. So many flies inside probably because the tables were filthy. Nothing had been cleaned or wiped down in what looked like ever. Food took way too long for just three breakfast tacos. read more

My husband and I tried several tacos here. They were alright. The flavor of the meat was fine and there was a reasonable amount but it was mounded with cheap shredded lettuce. The ambience was nice, but there were many dirty tables and it was not busy at all when we were there. The girl who greeted us at the counter was not friendly at all and seemed a bit confused. After we got the receipt, I noticed the prices are incorrect on their menu and we were charged more than we were expecting. I attached a picture to show the differences. The other girl that we went up to get our tacos from when they were ready, was also incredibly unfriendly. This Fuzzys location definitely has a lot to work on. read more

My nephew's favorite place for taco Tuesday. He swears this place has great margaritas. The ambient was cool and hip. It was half a bar and dine section and the other half the restaurant was a more family type seating arrangement. The food is on the okay side. It is not great but it is not bad either. We had nachos, bean and cheese burrito, chips and guacamole and a cheese quesadilla. I noticed this place is great to meet up with friends for a drink. read more

We're now 0-for-4 with Fuzzy's. To be fair, the first three fails were at the south side location, but we were told the north side was good, and they had an outside, dog-friendly area for dining. My wife ordered a potato, egg, and bacon burrito, on which there was no bacon, but her burrito was well-stuffed with eggs. I ordered a chorizo, egg, and cheese burrito. When I opened it to add salsa, I was shocked to find no more than 2-3 oz of filling inside a gigantic tortilla. It would have between inadequate for a taco, much less a $7 burrito! Manager was very polite and professional. She offered us a sincere apology and coupons for another meal. Needless to say, we won't be using them. Four failed attempts is two more than I give any other restaurant. Waaaayyyy too many good options here in Abilene to walk away hungry and dissatisfied. read more

So I went into Fuzzy's to order a veggie burrito bowl. The reason i went to Fuzzy's instead of Chipotle was because Chipotle was out of guacamole. So I go into Fuzzy's with high hopes that they had burrito bowls and they did! I order my bowl to go, drive all the way across town to the hotel, unload my stuff, sit down to eat after traveling ALL day, unpack my dinner and they forgot to put in the guacamole. Seriously?! So disappointed in the messed up order. I should have checked it before leaving the restaurant but you just shouldn't have to do that. read more

Fuzzy's is a great little taco shop located in Abilene as well as in the DFW area. This review focuses on this visit only. Atmosphere: Always plenty of seating both inside and out. Great colors and everything is logically set up. Walk down the aisle and order at one of the 2 registers. Go grab your drink off the side bar and then go grab yourself a seat. 1 Star Service: This is a counter service restaurant. The cashier/hostess was extremely pleasant and very responsive to our requests for menu changes. When we walked back up to counter to get our food we were greeted with a hearty, "Thank You!" and then was offered help carrying our trays to our table. We declined but appreciated the offer. We had several waitresses and busboys come by the table while we were there (about an hour) and ask if we needed anything or if we wanted to clear items from the table. Top notch here. 2 Stars Food: I usually get the shrimp or fish tacos (which would normally boost this review by another star). I opted for the Fajita Beef salad today. The salad is HUGE!!! I am 95% positive that it is a full head of iceberg lettuce chopped up. It is then topped with diced tomatoes, feta cheese, Fajita meat, and tortilla strips. This is where I was really disappointed. There was about enough meat to maybe make a single fajita out of. This was also true of the cheese and tomatoes. The meat had a great taste but was completely "watered down" by the iceberg. I basically ate a head of lettuce. True, it is a huge portion, but with very little filler. A bit disappointed here. I'd give it 1/2 star for this review at best. ------------------------ My rating system: Up to 1 star for atmosphere (Let's face it, I could eat Franklin BBQ on a dirty napkin while sitting in the bed of my truck.) Up to 2 stars apiece for both food and service (these are the two things that will either drive me away or reel me back in) 1 Star-Wouldn't let my dog eat here 2 Star-Below average-usually something really struck me as being bad and I doubt I would ever return. 3 Star-Average-Might come back. Might not if there are better options. 4 Star-Above average-will definitely come back and try something new. Probably had great service as well. 5 Star-Phenomenal-Will definitely return for such an amazing experience. read more
