The food was good. They have improved their salsa and queso, delicious. The guacamole was a hit as well. The birria tacos were very tasty but I feel they were small and I only got two, I felt there should have been three. Three is what I usually get at other restaurants so maybe it's more of a mindset for me. The service was questionable. There was a young girl taking the orders and she was good in the register and I could tell she knew the menu which I appreciated. While my friend and I ordered our food, I saw maybe one half smile and she amended a total of 6 times during the order. Yes, I began counting after the first. She seemed to be a good worker as I watched her fill the ice machines and clean tables etc... I just felt she was lacking in customer interaction. She seemed like she didn't want to be there. The restaurant itself was clean and the cooks were working hard to get food out. It was all out in a timely manner. The bartender seemed to know his clientele and was having multiple conversations with them while serving drinks. This tells me it was a regular watering hole for locals. I have also been to the Judge Ely location and my advice is, if you're looking to take your kids or have a little family time, the Judge Ely location is the place to go. If you're looking to take a date out or have drinks and good food with a group of friends then this Turner Plaza location is the place to be. read more

Mmmmmm FINALLY a good mexican style food spot. Im very impressed. good fish taco, in flour tortilla. Had the grilled chicken bowl, very tasty and the bowl is big, I couldnt finish it in one sitting. They have a souvenir cup, when you bring it back with you its .99 refill, i do like this idea. 2nd visit: 7:30 pm on Monday, the bar section is busy. Wowzers, the birria taco was delicious. It really taste like the birria that i have from Sonora, México. Whoever makes this, bravo! The crispy cheese just added to the deliciousness. Also had the birria bowl, not to spicy, it looks like pickled onions, black beans, crispy tortilla chips and just all goodness. Its clean, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I am a fan of Fuzzy's. I ate at my first on in Fort Worth before the spread. This one in Abilene is a semi regular stop. Today it was lunch and their shredded brisket salad was consistently good! The staff was friendly and dealing with credit card machine issues that they handled with grace. Maybe my favorite part of this location is their large all season patio. read more

Need to update my negative review over 7 years old. Fuzzy's has become my go to burrito place. Being Baja Mexican, it tastes a bit lighter than other places. The brisket nachos also are good. It is counter service, so you don't deal with the staff much. That doesn't mean the staff is bad, just that they shouldn't be making your lunch/dinner good or bad. Operates like a fast food place but feels more inviting than a fast food place. Also priced like a fast food place. They won me over, went from hating the place to loving it. read more

February 13-2023. We stopped by at 1:15. The lunch crowd had thinned out. I ordered the California Heat Baja taco. Auntie ordered the quesadillas and dad ordered the Queso. FYI: The paper menu had not been re-printed to reflect menu price increases. We ordered at 1:20 and received the meal at 1:25. Quick service and accurate. Everything was good. Really good. Went to eat there yesterday. The girl taking our order at the front register must've been new because she took forever to take our order. And she also didn't know how to answer questions. I got shredded chicken nachos and a drizzle of queso cheese across it with a huge amount of chips. I actually don't want to eat just chips with shredded chicken on it, so they need to add more queso cheese on top. We shouldn't have to buy extra queso to cover more chips when there's not, but a drizzle on them in the first place. I would pay a dollar more to add a decent amount of the queso. They also do not have pickled jalapeños. Some of us don't want the grilled ones, and def don't want the fresh ones because they are usually too hot. Idk if I'll give it another try. Hands down the absolute best fish tacos in town!! The Baja fish tacos are insanely good!! From the crispy batter, to the pickled onions, crunchy cabbage and spicy sprinkle on top, their fish tacos are on a whole different level!! They also offer a triple dip, queso, salsa and guacamole. That is our go to. Fuzzy's quickly became our "spot" every Saturday to unwind. So much so that their manager George Applin took notice to us. He is super friendly, kind and cool!! The meat-to-filling ratio was spot on, ensuring each bite was a mix of brisket and fillings. I really liked the guacamole as to me it didn't taste like it was out of a package. Went to get breakfast, and a "regular" was there at the bar constantly belching and the staff accepted it and the manager flipped them off. Wow just wow. So very unprofessional and I no longer wish to frequent this establishment. My husband and I tried several tacos here. They were alright. The flavor of the meat was fine and there was a reasonable amount but it was mounded with cheap shredded lettuce. The ambience was nice, but there were many dirty tables and it was not busy at all when we were there. The girl who greeted us at the counter was not friendly at all and seemed a bit confused. After we got the receipt, I noticed the prices are incorrect on their menu and we were charged more than we were expecting. I attached a picture to show the differences. We're now 0-for-4 with Fuzzy's. To be fair, the first three fails were at the south side location, but we were told the north side was good, and they had an outside, dog-friendly area for dining. My wife ordered a potato, egg, and bacon burrito, on which there was no bacon, but her burrito was well-stuffed with eggs. I ordered a chorizo, egg, and cheese burrito. When I opened it to add salsa, I was shocked to find no more than 2-3 oz of filling inside a gigantic tortilla. It would have between inadequate for a taco, much less a $7 burrito! Manager was very polite and professional. She offered us a sincere apology and coupons for another meal. Needless to say, we won't be using them. Four failed attempts is two more than I give any other restaurant. Waaaayyyy too many good options here in Abilene to walk away hungry and dissatisfied. read more

So I went into Fuzzy's to order a veggie burrito bowl. The reason i went to Fuzzy's instead of Chipotle was because Chipotle was out of guacamole. So I go into Fuzzy's with high hopes that they had burrito bowls and they did! I order my bowl to go, drive all the way across town to the hotel, unload my stuff, sit down to eat after traveling ALL day, unpack my dinner and they forgot to put in the guacamole. Seriously?! Fuzzy's is a great little taco shop located in Abilene as well as in the DFW area. This review focuses on this visit only. Atmosphere: Always plenty of seating both inside and out. Great colors and everything is logically set up. Walk down the aisle and order at one of the 2 registers. Go grab your drink off the side bar and then go grab yourself a seat. 1 Star Service: This is a counter service restaurant. The cashier/hostess was extremely pleasant and very responsive to our requests for menu changes. When we walked back up to counter to get our food we were greeted with a hearty, "Thank You!" and then was offered help carrying our trays to our table. We declined but appreciated the offer. We had several waitresses and busboys come by the table while we were there (about an hour) and ask if we needed anything or if we wanted to clear items from the table. Top notch here. 2 Stars Food: I usually get the shrimp or fish tacos (which would normally boost this review by another star). I opted for the Fajita Beef salad today. The salad is HUGE!!! I am 95% positive that it is a full head of iceberg lettuce chopped up. It is then topped with diced tomatoes, feta cheese, Fajita meat, and tortilla strips. This is where I was really disappointed. There was about enough meat to maybe make a single fajita out of. This was also true of the cheese and tomatoes. The meat had a great taste but was completely "watered down" by the iceberg. I basically ate a head of lettuce. True, it is a huge portion, but with very little filler. A bit disappointed here. I'd give it 1/2 star for this review at best. ------------------------ My rating system: Up to 1 star for atmosphere (Let's face it, I could eat Franklin BBQ on a dirty napkin while sitting in the bed of my truck.) Up to 2 stars apiece for both food and service (these are the two things that will either drive me away or reel me back in) 1 Star-Wouldn't let my dog eat here 2 Star-Below average-usually something really struck me as being bad and I doubt I would ever return. 3 Star-Average-Might come back.
