Love love love this place. Great comfy clean interior, excellent coffee, not too sweet, good strong coffee. Good selection of bakery items and also made to order warm menu. Everything came quickly, really nice people working here. We were lucky to arrive just as some chill live music began. Also lots of boardgames in good shape. $10 for a nitro coffee with SF Syrup is STEEP. I'm from San Diego and travel for work & have yet to find a cup of Joe that pricey anywhere but Abilene. That said it's one of the few spots here with great coffee. Love their drip coffee which is just a few bucks ($3 I think?) Pecan pie is absolutely amazing for a cheat day or you know, if you just eat that stuff on the reg. Service is STELLAR. I Spilled my own coffee, just a little not a lot putting the cap on and they insisted on making a new one when I said it was totally okay. Will keep coming back and supporting this cool spot. read more

I don't know if many people from Abilene can afford to go there but the food is great and the service is excellent

The staff was SUPER friendly, and the coffee was very good. I had the Irish Cream Cold Brew and would get it again (to-go). I recommend the coffee, but can't recommend this shop as a place to work/read. The seating is very uncomfortable and the country music playing throughout the store is distracting. Moose Mountain Coffee is, without a doubt, one of the best coffees out there. Unfortunately I had a rather disturbing experience today. Maybe I'm being to critical but, in my opinion, shouldn't I expect to be able to go into their store and buy coffee beans? I drink a lot of coffee and I would say that I have probably been to every coffee shop in Abilene. There has never been an instance where that shop didn't have beans for me to purchase. I just wanted to buy a couple of bags of pre-packaged whole beans from Moose Mountain so that I could take them home, grind up a few beans and have a most wonderful cup of coffee. I even called first but nobody answered the phone. Upon my arrival I asked the person at the counter about buying beans and she stated that "if" they had any it would be on the shelf. There weren't even any empty spots on the shelves indicating that maybe they sold out. Now I've bought plenty of bags of Moose Mountain coffee beans from them in the past but the last few times they had absolutely zero available. They had all of the coffee cups and other retail items but they didn't have what they are in business for... Coffee. Of course they will make you a cup. They were very polite when I questioned why they didn't have any beans. I was advised that I could go online and order them. Maybe they're under new management. Unfortunately I had to go to one of their competitors down the street to buy 2 pounds of beans. I'll definitely be going back to enjoy a cup at the store. I'm hoping that they will understand that if you operate a coffee shop you should provide beans to go. They do deserve 5 stars for the great people working there and the great quality of their product. read more

Coffee amazing !.....,but the thing I'll be coming back for are the people who run it/work there. Long story short, I'm a travel nurse, and I was driving from Houston to Colorado straight through by myself after a 12 hr shift. My appearance was probably awful and they could tell I was on the struggle bus. BIG time. And I still had 7 more hours to drive. As soon as I walked in the staff treated me with a big welcoming smile and funny jokes. They were very kind and personable and kindly gave me a drink on the house. Which they did not have to do! I think it was how my messy bun and scrubs looked like a hot mess express, but lord bless them ! Anytime I'm near I will be going back ! Thank you so much for doing a little thing that meant a big deal to me. read more

I tried the Royal Breve iced coffee and it was delicious, subtlety sweet with the perfect amount of cream to coffee. The jalapeño popper quiche was also incredible. Better than all the tasty goods here was the amazing service, this was my first time here and they answered all my questions, explained what was in the different drinks, and gave me the best recommendations! read more

I walked in and I was immediately captured by the aesthetic of the coffee shop. I was warmly greeted by both baristas behind the bar and really felt welcome in. I was recommended the Royal Breve and it was a great recommendation for what I was looking for. I stayed in for a little while and sat at the bar while talking to the barista. I also liked the merchandise that they sold. I will definitely be visiting again and highly recommend it. read more
