I am so happy that I found Mad Coffee and the wonderful staff that make up this nice little spot for coffee, study, community and the like. They bring in their coffee from Austin and it's really, really good. I normally get a medium cup of what they call a "Green Eye," that is three shots of espresso and the rest filled with regular coffee. It makes for a tasty and very caffeinated treat and will last me the entire day. I dare not to drink it all at once so consider yourself warned. :) My other favorites include the peach/mango smoothie and their beloved cold brew coffee. In my opinion, you cannot go wrong with either of these options. Besides the coffee and the treats that they offer, you will be happy to find yourself inside a comfortable and very welcoming coffee shop that has very clean bathrooms and nice background music. While I have found a few other coffee shops in the area, I continue to come back to Mad because of the super friendly service and the coffee, of course. I ordered the cinnamon roll center, and my niece got the strawberry cinnamon roll. I really wanted to love it, but unfortunately mine was very dry. It was crumbly to the point that my plastic fork was struggling to poke through it, which made it hard to enjoy. That being said, the service was absolutely incredible. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and the bakery itself is adorable. It's such a cute bakery. They also have the cutest little play area for kids, which makes it feel really family-friendly. Even though the cinnamon roll didn't quite hit for me, I would still give this place another try if I'm ever back in the area. I really wanted to love it, and I'd be open to trying something different next time.

The strawberry banana smoothies were so flavorful, and Emily slammed that iced coffee down! The girl working was extremely nice, and helped me decide what I wanted to get. Today's special was chocolate cake, one of my weaknesses. And it was REALLY good chocolate cake. The next day, me and Mike found them at Big Country coffee. No chocolate cake, but mini buttermilk pies. I ate one there and it was just ok. Now, when I took the other one out of the refrigerator the next day, it was SO good cold. Remember that! Tried 2 different cookies and both were winners. We'll be back.
