Took my trek top fuel 9.8 in 7 times over 8 months. Workers do not not know anything. The worker guy keeps adjusting the shifting like a idiot. I complained to the owner Matt. Matt the owner took the hub apart and said nothing was wrong. The owner is a huge dumb ass lier He said the bike was running great which I can prove was a big lie Mechanics there are inexperience, rude and incapable. The main The hub splines were badly worn up and the Rip off owner kept they want is to rip you off by putting parts on the bike charging more and more. I finally took the bike to Bountiful Cycle in Kaysville and the hub was worn out replaced and repaired right by Joseph. Also I brought in my valve stems to change my winter tires from tubes. They lost my valve stems and charged me. They also lost one of my tubes. The owner usually gives you the old parts back but refused because I could prove the old parts were fine. Do not even bother w these clowns I Just called the owner and the owner started yelling and hung up when I requested my tube and valve stems back and I asked for a refund. I believe he knew the hub was shot but did not have anyone to fix it. These guys just want to make money on the easy stupid stuff and then send real upper level riders somewhere else. I believe The owner hires more and more young womon (half his age) so he can flirt all day w/ them. This shop is a bunch of scum bag rip offs I will be taking this shop to court for fraud read more

Be careful! My wife took my son's bike in to get the derailleur adjusted because of gearing issues on the one year old lightly ridden bike purchased from the same place. They walked out having paid $300 + for a new crankset , front sprocket and chain and adjustment. They did not even call to ask if they wanted these replaced or to say how much they would cost. We have used the Bike Shoppe on several occasions this year and they have been outstanding. On every account. Great shop for the beginners, the recreational riders, or the absolute pros. Remember this spring when every kid got sent home from school and their parents were working at home? Well, that is when our son's beginner bike took a massive dive and, well, died. It was his first "real" bike and an inexpensive one from the big box store. We wanted a serious bike for him that would last a few years and let him grow in and out of. The Bike Shoppe was able to provide some options for us and helped us size a bike and pick out the perfect pedal machine for our boy. He was SO excited. Yes, we paid good money for the bike but you get what you pay for and it will outlast his growth spurts. Our second dealing was with some old bikes we had in the garage. We were on the fence on whether to fix a couple of OLD mountain bikes or just donate them. The folks at the Bike Shoppe gave us free estimates and some no B.S. answers on which bikes were worth salvaging and which were probably best going away. Zack @ The Bike Shoppe saved the day! i have a 12 year old dog that is the best and SO important to me. The past few months, his health has declined and is in heart failure. He can't go on long walks any longer but loves to be outside with me. I purchased a high end dog stroller online so he still enjoy long walks with me but the problem was the instructions that came with it were horrible. i called The Bike Shoppe and asked if they could help me with the stroller and install the back tires.....it's got wheels like a bike so heck, I thought I'd call and see what they said. A very friendly Zack answered the phone and said "Yes, please come down and we'll see what we can do for you". My dog stroller is fixed, air in the tires, and I couldn't be happier. Zack made sure I knew how to take the wheels off and on and went over the brake system and how it worked.The kindness and great customer service that I received today was very much appreciated. Super helpful service. Nate helped fit me for a Trek bike awhile back, I put a deposit down, and picked it up today. Tooled around the parking lot. Mike did a few adjustments, and it feels great. I can't wait to ride it when I get home. My husband is jealous, so I suggested he get fitted for a bike while we are here. If you want a new bike pretty much everything is backordered, and this is no fault of any bike shop. There are bike shortages nationwide. I felt happy to put money down and wait something that will meet my needs. This one is much better than the bike I've been riding more than 20 years. We needed a quick tune up, because we were headed to the Grand Canyon to bike the south rim, and they were so fast!! Their customer service is supreme. Remembered my name and asked about my family when I went to pick up the bikes. Saw us coming in the parking lot abs already had the bikes ready to go. STAY AWAY ! ! ! Spent $300 dollars on bike maintenance including flat tire proof filling. Not sure it they put it in there...Next week my kid has a flat tire. Had to take back with flat tire all the way from school ended up with cracks on the front tire. Manager Nate Fouger refused to replace the tire saying it is too old and offered to buy a new one. The second tire was the same age had no cracks. I spent extra 26 dollars on a new tire. Left with bad feelings. I don't recommend dealing with individual by the name of Nate Foulger. This person is DISHONEST and not professional. Poor poor service. Now he is saying the cracks are do to the tires age. Interesting thing that one tire is completely normal but the other the one he "fixed" has cracks. The cracks occurred not because of the age but because my son had to ride it from school completely flat. NATE - - DISHONEST man. read more

I went in with a $300 to $500 budget and got myself a very nice basic Trek hard tail for $399. I spent a lot of time perusing the store and observing. I brought in a new frame to get a "pro build" done on a new frame using some of the parts from my old bike and some new ones. We're vacationing from CA visiting Salt Lake and Idaho. My son's is looking for a specific 27.5inch MTB with hard tail. We checked around Idaho Falls and can't find anything. On our visit to Ogden, we called this place and they recommended 29" wheel size. The person helping is Nate and he helped us with everything. We got the bike at noon and was assembled in the evening. I love that I have such an amazing shop so close to where I live. I bought my mountain bike from these guys, while my husband got his elsewhere. My husband and I are both newbies to the bike scene and we often ask "dumb" questions, yet these guys are always nice and helpful. It doesn't matter which bike we bring in or have questions about, they are always amazing. Last weekend I was about to head out for a trip when my husband realized he bought the wrong tubes for my tires. He rushed down there less than 30 minutes before they closed, and they had him out in time with new and amazing tubes installed. They're incredible. The other thing I loved about them is that they didn't try to get me into the most expensive bike they could. We discussed my needs and they helped me find the best bike for me. After over a year on my bike, I've never once regretted not getting a better bike or getting too much of a bike. It's perfect for me. read more

Top notch service! On my morning ride I had the unfortunate second flat. Fortunately, I was only a couple miles away from The Bike Shoppe. Unfortunately, the biking shoes make walking terrible. Fortunately, I had waking shoe in a back pack. Therefore, I was just fine making the walk. Then I see the blur of Matt's big black truck with the store logo on it making a U turn and dodging road construction signs just to get to in front of me in order to pick me up!!! He took me to The Bike Shoppe changed my flat gave me a spare tube, lubed, and tweaked everything! He got it all done in about 15 min! I bought a CO2 pump... and some great advice! Matt apologized, saying, "I hope it didn't take too long, I'm kinda OCD about the bike's safety." Now, that's they type of mechanic you should be looking for! Having gone from a casual rider (500 miles per year) to a more serious racer (7-8k miles per year) I've come to appreciate the convenience of handing over regular maintenance and the importance of getting set up with proper equipment and a good bike fit. Staff is unhelpful and will mock your bike if they decide its to cheap for their high standards to perform work for you. Especially if you didn't purchase it from them. I used to think it was just a bad employee but after having this happen again and again over 5 years or so I think it is the owner/manager that starts this attitude. Nice guys. Often the wrong part is recommended and an exchange or refund won't be allowed so your screwed. This has happened to me more than once in this store.
