St. George: We contacted club Rec for some side by side machines for the Sand Hollow area. Joey was very helpful and a great tour guide. We had them out for about three hours, and hit the Flintstone house, top of the world, and the toll booths. It was a great time and an awesome experience. Joey even recommended a stellar place for dinner in Hurricane, overall a great experience and must use company for your day of recreation in the Sand Hollow area!! read more

Actually no stars! First off you had to pay $23 to just park your car. Then it was a steep incline to carry kayak to beach with no employer assistance. The dock was crooked and hard to stand on. We rented a sit in kayak that was in horrible condition. Both a rear and front foot rest were broken and the others two were stuck!! This business obviously does not take pride in their equipment. Day of the rental I brought up the dissatisfaction to the employees and they blew me off. I don't love giving 1 star reviews and hope the experience is better for others. I review my experience how it was the day I experienced it, and that day it was a 1 star experience. Reaching out a year later to remedy the situation sounds like your just working on getting your reviews up and not actually caring about customers. read more

COST: ~$215 (FOUR HOUR 850 CC Snowmobile rental, helmet included) I had the pleasure of visiting a friend in Utah and when he asked if I wanted to go snowmobiling, my answer was a very enthusiastic HELL YES. I recently just got into sports... snow sports (snowboarding) in particular so this was an easy decision. The costs were obviously a little high for for the experience, it was way worth it. My buddy had called in advance to reserve the lower tier snowmobiles. When we got there unfortunately they only had 3 of the lower tier ones, but perhaps 4 of the higher grade 850 cc ones. I'm glad we paid the extra $40/60 for the upgrades since these things were massive BEASTS. All the workers there were super friendly. I asked if we would see Polar Bears and their answer was I HOPE NOT lol. They had given us our gears and then showed us out back to our snowmobiles. We did a quick rundown of do's and don't's, double checked the mobile for damages and then off we go. The whole course is a giant snowy mountain AND a state park. Have your driving licenses at the ready because STATE police will inspect them on your way in. The mobiles were easy to flip if you're being stupid lol. I did flip a couple of times but once I got the hang of it, we were flying like nothing. The views were absolutely gorgeous and serene. We went up multiple peaks just by our lonesome and man I could've stayed there forever. Overall it was a great time but definitely four hours is the max since it can get very tiring. read more

Had an absolute blast on a two hour snowmobiling tour. Our guide was super patient, friendly, and just awesome. They provide safety equipment and the snowmobile is a really nice one. We went as a group and all agreed it was one of our favorite excursions of the week. Do bring hand warmers, goggles and layer up in warm gear. It gets super super chilly. Well worth it. read more

This is regarding the Club Rec at Starvation. Club Rec is a family business. They charged me $300 to remove debris from an impeller. This took the son and the son-in-law 30 minutes from the time they picked up the ski on the beach until it was fixed and back on the water. I sat on a picnic bench next to the trailered ski and watched them work and talked to them so I know exactly what was entailed and how long it took. Once the debris was removed, they confirmed that there was NO DAMAGE to the impeller. The mom, who calls herself "Boss", told me they would be charging me $300 and that I was lucky they weren't charging more. The contract states that a person will be charged a minimum of $500. The way this contract is worded they could charge $5000 for an hour of labor. When beaching a ski, you turn the motor off 15 yards from the shore. I was so paranoid that I was going to scuff the bottom of the ski that I aborted the landing and re-started the ski too close to the beach. I did suck up up 3 rocks and a piece of bark. The son-in-law that waited with me for the tow back to the marina told me this impeller debris issue happens all the time. I did it. I would have no complaint paying a fair hourly labor rate but $300 per hour is not remotely fair. Their contract also states that they have 48 hours to assess and charge your card for any physical damage. When completing the inspection, I joked that they looked like rental rockets, the son said yes, and all the wear and tear had been paid for by customers and that they were always mad. If you sign this contract, make them rotate the ski 360 and take pictures. Their contract states that they have 48 hours to assess the ski for any physical damage and then charge your card. I paid $563.14 for a 4 hour rental. No stars for happy jet ski rentals. 5 stars for contract enforcement. They mean business. read more

Had a great time out at their pineview location the lake was beautiful in the valley and the location of there building was super convenient being right on the lake. We rented a moomba and 2 jet skis, they were both awesome quality and the boat was great for surfing wakeboarding and having a good time with your family. We went on the three hour guided wilderness tour. Paul was our guide and was awesome. He was patient and kind and funny. It was our children's first time snowmobiling so it was great to go on the groomed trails. As part of the tour we went to the elk Farm and took a sleigh ride for five dollars per person. I suggest you do that because you get to see the elk up close. This is a wonderful way to make some memories with your family. The equipment was in great shape and everybody working there was so incredibly nice. You can also just rent snowmobiles and you can also rent the necessary equipment for snowmobiling. read more

Overall I had a good time and the equipment was first class. The check out staff and turn in staff was professional and friendly. The price was very reasonable! I rented a 4 person side by side in Eden a few days ago to take my family exploring in the awesome hills and mountains. Here is where I think they need to improve. I am obviously on vacation and not familiar with any trails or routes. I was given a street map that basically is cut off once you go off the pavement. I had a heck of a time navigating to some of the locations I wanted to go. Luckily we still had fun exploring and I am pretty good with google earth but it was very frustrating going down certain trails to only be greeted by a locked gate or private property or the 15 freeway. For most out of town customers I think they are being set up for failure. I would invest in a better trail route map and show a few photos at the turn intersections. Maybe make 5-10 different routes that can accomplished within the variety of rental periods. With this information or publication I think all customers can have a positive experience. read more

I bring my daughter and her friends to Willard Bay every chance I can. I enjoy just floating on a tube and relaxing. My daughter and her friends beg to go on the water jungle gym. They get to play in a fun but safe environment and I get a little peace. I have been extremely happy with the friendly service I get every time I go into the Rec Club. What an awful rental place, machines very worn and in some cases felt like they were barely working, the machine would regularly overheat while riding it for five minutes and then I'd be stranded in the middle of the water waiting for it to stop beeping at me because it's overheated, On a day that was only 85° mid day. Parts of the machine while I have been hitting the face while driving which I asked them to tape down and said sorry, And after discussing our deposit return, Your company kept saying it was my responsibility that your machines were falling apart and barely working even though this was the condition it was given to me. NEVER RENTING HERE AGAIN! I live here! down the street in fact! I will definitely be letting everyone I know that Club REC rentals is just a MONEY GRAB! We have mixed reviews. Earlier today we had a great experience renting a 16 foot pontoon boat. The boat was brand new and the customer service was great. This afternoon we rented a CanAm ATV. The girls at the desk weren't trained, or knowledgeable about the ATV or trail locations. They were very friendly though. They sent us in a wild goose chase 25 mikes away to find riding trails. What an awesome day spent on Willard Bay all made possible by ClubRec and their awesome staff! We rented one of the sport pontoon boats for 8 hours today and were not disappointed! Corbin was an absolute Rockstar making sure we got all set up and checked in from the life jackets to the "how to" with the boat! Miranda and Jensen were also amaze and made sure things were going good and took care of us at the end of the day! Each staff member was so polite and right there ready to help, answer questions and just make sure our experience was a good one. The boat itself was awesome! I spent a good amount of money today renting jet skis. When we arrived, the place was crawling with law enforcement officers, right outside the establishments doorstep, with nothing better to do. Where everything went wrong was when it was time to return. If you aren't familiar with that lake, you will have a hard time figuring out how to get back to marina. They have absolutely no markings to help. So many of us were forced to ask others for directions. As soon as we got back in, the officers were waiting to write up tickets. EVERYONE got one! Some were for speeding, although we were told there was no speed limit on the water and no one went over 25mph; others it was for being in close proximity (we were 2 school bus lengths apart instead of 3). I believe this was entrapment; these officers were nowhere to be found EXCEPT at Club Rec. We got way more than we bargained for going there, and I HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere or you risk paying way more than you bargained for!!!! read more

We rented a two person kayak from this business on July 24. I felt the rates were reasonable enough, and the service was friendly. However, less than 15 minutes after getting on the lake my daughter had earwigs crawling on her. So we brought the boat back to the shore and looked it over. More and more bugs kept crawling out of it. We even completely filled the boat with water in an attempt to flush them out. One more time we took the kayak out on the lake but within 5 minutes I had an earwig crawling on my leg. We pulled the boat to the shore and gave up using it. When we returned the boat I made sure to alert the staff that the boat they rented me had an earwig nest and how we paid for a 4 hour rental but were only able to use it for 1/2 hour. The two staff members I spoke with did not care one bit about the situation and did not even off an apology. Very disappointing. read more
