It was the Monday during the holiday break after Christmas where no one is wanting to cook, so it seemed like everyone had the same idea of going out to eat. We had a party of 5 and waited at the bar for 15 minutes until our table was ready. Service was super friendly and wonderful. When we were seated, our server Sebastian was great. I forgot how much I love their garden burger patty and their garlic rosemary fries. They also have a spicy black bean option for the vegetarians/vegans. Obviously they have a ton of great options for the meat eaters primarily, I mean it's a burger bar how could they not. Needless to say, I won't be forgetting about this place ever again! Dice bar vibes on the inside, and in the summer they have a lovely patio too.

Their patio is great. Our server, Juan, was awesome. He checked on us just the right amount and was very knowledgeable on the menu!! For drinks, I got a Diet Coke (duh), and my husband got a beer. The Diet Coke came in a HUGE glass (as it should!!) and the brew was good. He got the rabbit foot brewing beach bunny and really enjoyed it. Juan let us know people have been loving this and that the owner of lucky 13 is involved with rabbit foot brewing. Love a local connection!! For food, I got the celestial burger and my husband got the ol man. Omg they were delicious!! They are on the pricier side, but the portions are BIG. Could def be shared. Their onion rings are amazing. I tried the rosemary garlic fries and they were delicious!! I would def recommended checking out lucky 13!!

Characterized by a vintner-curated menu of blended wines and cocktails, the dimly lit spot is warm and attractive. The interior is appointed with art work, shiplap and stone work. The communal tables add to the festive decore and allow for making new friends, especially on Christmas (during our visit). The owner, Steve, is a Sommelier by training and has mad skills. His space is welcoming and he's passionate about a great guest experience, often planning unique events like an oyster shucking master class, glass blowing workshops, candlemaking, and, of course, private wine tastings. Flanked by his Alaskan Husky and best friend, Bear, he'll spend time with patrons, make a solid drink recommendation and ensure a memorable visit.

I also did not go to Sundance and am not here for that so his comment about being *out of my depth* is just dumb. I encourage you to look at the one star reviews of this place and see the owners' hostile, immature, and abrasive responses (others also note his blatant habit of lying). Stephen, book a therapy appointment. Original review below *********** There is a $20 cover charge to enter, and they were out of all of the cheapest ($30/glass) glasses of wine, so we were forced to get the next cheapest, a $45 glass of wine. Are you willing to spend $65 for a cheap glass of wine? They also only have five cocktails on the menu and you can't order anything else with liquor (I asked for a hot toddy cuz I'm freezing and they said no can do). The singer was good and the ambiance is nice; not very crowded. But overall, I would never pay $65/glass for mediocre wine unless I'm at an ultra luxury resort (which this is not).

From the views, to the bipolar weather, to the…read morequality and quantity of untracked powder, it just feels like you're skiing on another planet almost. The last time I went it was snowing while sunny out somehow, with the sun shining through the storm clouds above, and felt surreal. This was my first season skiing, though this is hands down the best ski resort I've been to so far. One time this April I made the mistake of crossing over into Snowbird's Mineral Basin, and the conditions were so much worse for just being on the other side of the ridge. It was way hotter, sunnier, and more crowded, with way more rocks, moguls, and dirt spots littering the runs, so I crossed back into Alta after 2 runs. The runs at Alta are wide and well groomed, so you can pick up some serious speed without feeling like you're risking your life doing so. Late season there was barely anyone else there too, even while it was snowing somehow (likely an effect of not allowing snowboarders). The staff here are top notch and always professional, and Alta has some of the best chairlifts I've seen. Another huge plus is how close you can park to the points at which you get on the base mountain chairlifts, as walking in ski boots while carrying skis is no fun. You can literally ski right up to your car at the end of the day if you park in the right spot. They also have a rope tow from base to base, which saves you from possibly having to take the bus at the end of the day to the other base. The only hiccups here were the requiring of parking reservations on weekends, and the pass scanner machine midway up Collins Lift not reading my Ikon Pass with no worker nearby to help, so I'd have to ski down to the bottom and take the lift all the way up.

We parked by 7:30am and hung out in the lodge until 8:30 AM when we lined up at Collins lift to get first tracks and the powder. Avalanche control going all morning. Today's storm wasn't very cold so the powder was heavy. The bowls didn't open up but skiing was still great! Plenty of terrain to cover even without the bowls. Because the powder was heavy, people were clearing out by 2 PM.

Annette did not want me to place my bin of belonging in line of the other bins, but she never came to my section to handle my bins. Started the vehicle, and the windshield washer fluid was low (this covered up the check engine light, I should have paid attention to. Asked the attendant as I drove out if he could top it off... He didn't have any option for me except to fill it up myself later. There was a storm coming in later, but I did beat that to get to my hotel. I didn't drive the rest of the day because I fell ill. I woke up early the next morning and drove to get medications. When I started the vehicle, the Check Engine and ABS alarms went off, telling me it was unsafe to drive. But it was early and I needed meds, so I went to get them. Later that day (Monday), after my training, I called filed a request for road side assistance. After waiting for 3 hours (near 7 pm) I started a chat, the chat was not a live assistance. Get a live assistant. They tell me it will take till 9 or 10 to get the replacement. I ask them to wait until tomorrow morning. They state that they will call me in the morning to pick up where we've left off. I let my training cadre know that I will have to wait for a vehicle the next morning and stay back for the transfer, since they won't let me leave the key with the front desk, in case I need to sign something. So, Tuesday, I slept in till 7, had breakfast, and waited. About 8:30, I decided, maybe I'll need to initiate the process again, and contact assistance... chat with computer "I need to transfer you" Chat with live assistant, "a rescue team will call you". 20 min later, get a call from the rescue team. They inform me they've contacted someone to perform the vehicle exchange (mind you not clearly, so I don't know if I'm waiting for someone to bring the new rental and a tow truck, or just the tow truck). This could take up to 6 hrs of my already missed work day. I do get a refreshed link so I know the tow driver and can call them. 3 hrs in, I call, and get "VM has not been set up". 1 hr passes, I call, and a garbled, unrecognizable answer. I start receiving text reminding me, that I need to be there for the vehicle exchange. no calls. Call the 3rd time, a lady picks up "oh, he is close, and he has the replacement vehicle". "Awesome, thank you. He arrives at noon with a Dodge Durango- heck of an upgrade! Pulls it off the truck, give me the keys and I get in. "Low Tire Pressure" is the first thing I see. I ask him if he has an air compressor. He says "It looks okay, just go to a gas station". I say fine, give him the keys to the equinox and ask if there is anything to sign. There isn't. Could have easily been taken care of with the front desk. I drive a block, and the tire pressure sensor seems to have reset, I'm good to go, take it back to the parking lot. This morning, get one of the other training cadre to ride with me "to balance my luck," but also take a 6 seater for today's field trip. The tire is now completely flat. This evening, after seeing that the spare is a donut, and not knowing the distance I'm driving tomorrow, I decide to call Avis, and tell them just to pick up the car. Start the call process again- computer- specialist- rescue team. Rescue team guy says he has someone lined up to get the vehicle between 6 and 7:30. He connects me with customer service to inquire getting a refund. I speak with them, after 10 minutes, they let me know they can't do anything until the vehicle has been returned, which, we know I can't do myself.... It's approx 8:50. At 8, I started trying all of my "Rescue" links to track where the tow driver was... All of them go back to the original assistance request. After 7 tries, they finally get someone to call me. He states "oh, yeah this has been picked up"... I'm not calling about that one. I'm calling about the new one that I can't track. He calls the tow company (doesn't give me the number). And then lets me know, they'll be here in another hour. The vehicle is going to towed tomorrow. Do not recommend Avis is SLC for anyone!
