They follow you around as they think you have food. No need for fishing licenses here. And they charge for what you catch. They charge for fileting the catch at 50cents each fish. We'll bring our family and friends out to ensure everyone has a successful catch for dinner!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Catching the keepers in the main ponds was not much of a fishing challenge, but still fun. They clean the fish for you right on the spot and we came home with a couple of meals for all of us. You could easily catch as many as you want, but for price consideration we stopped at 3 a peice. We brought a fly rod and the three of us shared time fishing the trophy pond, that is catch and release. That was also super fun and more of challenge than the keeper ponds. After fishing we walked around the grounds for a bit which was also nice. I highly recommend a visit.

It's clean, spacious and the people are friendly. There are no mountains to the west so dusk hangs in there a little longer and the sunsets are beautiful every night. Fishing here has been good to us. We have caught the biggest rainbow we've ever hooked, at this pond. I was shocked! The bag limit is 2 per person, so it went quick. The 3 of us got our limit under and hour. The rest of the day was catch and release which is just as fun. The trout here are feisty! They are a blast to reel in. When I can't make it into the mountains, Jensen pond works for me. The ducks here are funny and crazy. Not crazy, like Clinton Pond ducks (those are just plain scary). I'm not a fan of giving ducks bread for their health and water quality reasons, but I'll loosen up a bit and let the little one give them some bread once in a while. She loves it, they love it. There's a melting pot of ducks and geese, all unique in their own way and each with a cute personality. If you'd like to take a little walk and get the bod moving, this is a good place. The sidewalk goes around the entire pond. I also noticed a ton of people walking around with their cell phones. So if you're into Pokemon, I think that's what they're doing. Jensen Nature Park is for everyone! Come check it out! Heads up: Be careful around the edges of the sidewalk. There are huge holes. I've rolled my ankles in them almost every time we came. I don't learn my lessons very easily.

So I grew up skiing this little resort. They've got the cheapest passes around, I think it's Tuesdays or Thursdays you can get lift tickets for a family of four for $40. It's a great little beginner/intermediate resort. and the night skiing is so much fun! That being said, this year when I wanted to pick up snowboarding at age 29, I went here first. I was planning on doing their $55 rental, lift ticket, group lesson deal, but I ended up getting the rental and lift ticket and a private lesson. You're supposed to book your private lesson in advance, but since I changed my mind at the counter, they were really amazing about accommodating me. Naomi was my instructor, and she was so encouraging and nice. My first run down I feel about a zillion times, but with her help by my second run it was only 2-3, and by my third run I didn't fall at all. I really mastered the falling leaf turns and stopping on my heelside on that first lesson, which set me up completely for my second lesson to learn toe side turns and begin linking (I took my second lesson in Tahoe). They recently redid the inside of the lodge, so it's a little cozier. I didn't eat there, but they did have some bangin' good apple cider. I definitely recommend this little resort for any family or beginner trying to get out and learn for cheap!
