She calls to me

I've always seen the sign when walking in Seaport Village. That small blonde beauty in white wearing a chef's hat (chef's hat is called a toque (pronounced toke), or more formally a toque blanche (French for "white hat") and holding an almost overflowing display of glistening donuts. I have never believed the claim "The Best Donuts" or been enticed by the offer until now. Maybe it's because the world feels like it's going to end and YOLO? They actually might be the best donuts. Wow. I couldn't believe my taste buds as I munched the flakey moist outside to hit pay dirt with the gooey sugar filled jelly. Try them for yourself and be shocked while satisfied that the best donuts are in a San Diego tourist trap.

First time trying "The Best Donuts" in Seaport Village, San Diego, CA. I ordered the Bavarian Creme and chocolate donut and both were delicious. The bakery is in a good spot next to shops and restaurants. I received friendly service. Check it out! Happy Yelping :)

Strawberry cream cheese donut

This place was pretty popular last night !!! I couldnt resist and had to try one. There were so many delicious choices to pick from. I ended up getting the strawberry cream cheese and it was incredible. Its in the middle of a glazed donut and bear Claw. Saved half for breakfast and tasted just as good.

They have donuts marked at $7, then charged $9 for the exact donut with a $7 price tag on it. Then, they refused to honor the displayed price, which isnt legal. Additionally, the cashier was rude. Go to Louisiana Charlies next door instead if you want to get dessert and not be taken advantage of.

We stumbled upon this small donut shop near the marina by our hotel, and it was such a delightful find! It felt like the perfect spot to grab a sweet treat while enjoying the views. The donuts themselves were fantastic--fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The kids absolutely loved them, and it was so fun to watch them get excited over the new and creative flavors. There's clearly a lot of care and creativity that goes into making each one, which made the experience even more special. Overall, this donut shop is a must-visit if you're in the area. Great treats, fun new flavors, and a family-friendly atmosphere made it a highlight of our trip. We'll definitely be coming back the next time we're in SD!

Lemon donut

Was this the best donut ever??? In my opinion not really. The donuts looked good, the size was appealing to the price but from a taste perspective it was ordinary. The glaze isn't heavy. You bite and it crumbles. You lose more of the glaze onto to the table then in your bite. I'm ok with that though. I don't care for very sticky, dense glaze. You have to take several bites before getting to the filling. I tried both the black current and lemon and they were average filled taste. I was expecting more. The location is tucked back, and you order at the window. The staff is friendly and helpful. There is a lot of room around to sit and enjoy your sweet treat.

The donuts were good but a lil cold and not the best for a $8 donut? But a cool experience. The lady was real helpful and nice! It's in a nice area for a lil walk around. Definitely a tourist spot!

I noticed this new spot open at Seaport Village today and was excited to try it! They were on the pricier side but it's pretty much expected for a touristy spot like Seaport Village. Mini donuts are $3.50, most glazed with filling were $7, which seemed on par with seaport village. There were a few "premium" ones at $12 which is extravagant for what it is. They did look pretty good in the case so I went with the pistachio donut which was one of the "premium" ones at $12. The dough was heavy and dense and the frosting was also dense and pretty sticky. It wasn't the worst but also no where near the best - definitely not what I was looking for which was a light and airy donut. And definitely not worth the price! The guy at the counter was nice and friendly. He mentioned that they had only been open for a little over a week so maybe they're still working out kinks. Overall, I might give them another shot to give them the benefit of the doubt. Also, I saw they also have coffee, boba, and beer on the menu.

The pistachio donut was INCREDIBLE. Absolutely loved this place!! The employees were so kind as my daughter has a peanut allergy and they wanted to make sure there were no peanuts in the items. It was so sweet! They're so kind!

I'm so sorry but these were not the best donuts...Seaport village is always a vibe and stunning but these donuts were overpriced and dry. The service was great though. The donut was aesthetically pleasing but that's about it!

Fresh small batch polish style donuts. Dense but fluffy dough on the inside , crispy on the outside with many fillings to choose from. Some of the donuts are quite large, so the $7 seems somewhat reasonable since it's double the size of a standard donut ( think size of a sandwich / hoagie roll). There are some specialty donuts ( Nutella, Cannoli, pistachio) that were $12, but that was a little steep in my opinion, so pasted. So many flavors to choose from it was hard to decide. I ended up with Cherry - good ratio of filling to the dough and the filling wasn't to sweet more sour cherry which I like better. They have a rose flavor donut that I'm still thinking about, that I might go back to get. I've read that is a traditional polish donut flavor. The shop is a small walk up window, no seating. This place is good for something sweet with unique flavors to enjoy while walking around and taking in all Seaport village has to offer. Service was friendly.

Hard to find in little mall. Buy and sit outside so maybe dont buy when it's raining creative filling like apple pie and nutella. Service is quick and will explain flavors to you. Very casual ambiance. If you are in the mall/village go try one. Pricy donut.

Guava

A stall in the Seaport Village. Decided I need d a sweet afternoon delight and some interesting flavors. Guava is probably one I don't usually get in my coast and pumpkin was available. Donut was fresh and soft even in the afternoon.

They call themselves best donuts. They are not. Mediocre and overpriced donuts would be a much better name for this establishment.

Can't believe I paid $9 for the world's most disappointing donut. It was dry and pretty tasteless. Not falling for this tourist trap again.

There's lots of seating for anyone who wants to hangout with friends or study. So awesome to see that they serve Nami (aashleyk's matcha brand). I ordered a chicken empanada, pan de elote, & an iced matcha cloud (less sweet & oat milk). Everything was absolutely DELISH. I'm pretty picky about my matcha, especially when it's in an Einspanner form. I loved the contrast between the sweet/salty cloud and the matcha itself! This place has their ratios down perfectly. Can't wait to come back (probably tomorrow)! 11/10.

Most other coffee shops charge $1.00 or more now, so that was a really nice surprise. They also gave me a stamp card for future visits, which I'll definitely be using. Will absolutely be back!

They also have a breakfast sandwich called the San Diego which is a favorite of several people I know. You chose the bagel you want it with and they add fried eggs, bacon, cheese and aioli. I highly reccomend it. I've not had a lot of their deinis, but i did order the cinna-bee which has honey, cinnamon, espresso and milk. I thought it was good and would order it again. Definitely check them out and try some of their bagels, or perhaps one of their sandwiches.
