ive had "rashes" breaking out on various parts of my body for about a month ..not really thinking 2 much about it ..till my boyfriend said he saw a bug on the bed . i shrug it off and stay in total denial because after all im the only one with these "rashes" he hasnt had any problems and we sleep in the same bed. i finally go to dermatoligist on my way to leave i go to get my bag off the bed and i see a lil bug ..try to catch it and i kill it accidentally (intentionally :) so dermatoligist confirms its insect bites and after i have a mini breakdown in his ofc ..he assures me my bites dont fit the pattern of bedbug bites.. i wipe my tears and feel better and leave. last night i see a bug crawl across my kitchen table catch it (alive) and upon closer inspection realize thats a gosh darn bed bug from what the internet pictures show.. so i have a major panic attack ..almost wind up in hospital im so crazed and freaked out and eventually calm my ass down. i call bed bug inspectors ..spoke to the wonderful oscar ..he quotes the price for the canine inspection ..i tell him i have pictures of the bastards that i caught ..i send them over he confirms that they are indeed bedbugs and that i wouldnt need his services to come out.. he also went on to tell me what i should do as far as call 311 and let my landlord know asap..all of this information for free . how can u beat that kind of service in these money hungry days? oscar was very pleasant, very quick in responding, and courteous when i called him back with more paranoid lines of questioning like should i throw all my shit out and basically move lol.. oscar was also able to give me an estimate as to how much it would cost to get an exterminator and omg its a very costly procedure which is why i probably keep having mini attacks.. anyway folks this is long and i know adhd has kicked in with some reading but bottom line.. i would recommend oscar and his services .. where else can u get a quote and referral for free and pleasant guidance .. only here folks ..only here ! thank you oscar read more

Jeremy is the most informative, patient, calming guy in the business. I worked with two of his dog handlers, and both were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. They always took their time, answered every question five times over, and understood the crazy that goes along with this pest. Five months after moving to New York, I got bedbugs from my neighbors. My landlord brought in their shady pest control guy, and I continued to get bitten, and didn't have anyone to work with to develop a game plan to tackle the problem effectively. So,of course, I did everything you don't need to do. I threw away all of my new furniture, and high tailed it out of there with only my dry cleaned clothes and dishes with me. For 2 years I lived in constant fear of ever going through this again. My friends made fun of me for being obsessive about the bugs , but when you flee a problem rather than dealing with it, you don't have a good grip on the reality that they are something you can tackle. At one point in my new place I found a bug that I couldn't identify, and Jeremy came over and reassured me that it was not anything to worry about. Well, even after living practically in a bubble for 2 years, somehow, the little critters found their way back into my life. House guests? Work? Who knows. They got me. This time, though, they would not win. I called Jeremy and he immediately put me at ease. He linked me up with a good pest control company, took my calls when I was in hysterics, and never made me feel like a crazy person. He was reassuring, and always went the extra mile to ensure that I was getting the best treatment both from his company and the pest control I worked with. I know this is a long review, but I honestly think this man is a saint. He is a good guy in a dirty business. I did a LOT of research on Bed Bug companies in the NYC area, and after speaking with about six different companies, this was the company that I went with because their price was reasonable and they promised both a visual and canine inspection (some companies only offered one or the other). Overall, I was extremely pleased with my experience with The Bed Bug Inspectors. I called to schedule an inspection, and I was told that the inspector would arrive between 7am and 9am, and he arrived around 8:15am. His name was Paul, and he came with the bed bug dog, Freedom. Paul was extremely professional and took his time guiding Freedom around the apartment to look for bed bugs. He also did a thorough inspection of my bed (i.e. pulled off the covers, looked into the little crevices of the mattress with a flashlight, etc.). The entire inspection took less than 20 minutes. Turns out I didn't have bed bugs, so I just paid him and he left. I feel like I can trust this company because they didn't try to pressure me into a pricey treatment when I didn't actually have any bedbugs. read more

To all of you who are apprehensive about having a dog come inspect your apt dont be. Jeremy is very discreet and professional. He came within the time frame he said he would be coming. The dog went to work and did his job. Luckily I didnt have to go any further for now but it was for the piece of mind this service puts you at. I had called another ny bedbug / exterminator only to be hung up on in mid sentence. He wasnt going to take a small case when he has a pool of customers to choose from. This epidemic has put these companies with a wealth of potential clients.They can pick and choose who will bring in the most moeny. This company doesnt have any invested interests in exterminating so you wont find that attitude. I find the solution to this problem is early intervention, educating yourself of what to do and not to do and luck. Best yet you get a discount for being a yelp member! Would highly recommend this service to anyone wondering if they have a bed bug problem. A family member is suffering with hives following a vacation, and we were worried that we might have brought an univited guest or two home. Called in a panic on a Sunday, and our call was returned immediately. By Tues, handler and dog were at our door, as promised and on time. Both were very professional, informative,discreet, thorough and kind. They did not find anything, so now we can explore medical reasons for the hives with confidence. Cannot begin to describe the relief! This service is worth every penny spent. We are seriously considering scheduling bi-yearlyor yearly visits-just to be sure. Giving Jeremy 5 stars for service and speed, although I did not actually have an inspector come to my house. My wife and I had just talked ourselves down from a bed bug scare, as we realized the insect bites we were concerned about did not match the description of bedbug bites. However, when I then found a couple of possible "bedbug shells" under the bed, I called the Bed Bug Inspectors. Jeremy called me back within a couple of hours (on a Sunday afternoon), and when I explained the situation he was kind enough to review a photo of the "shells" for free, and immediately (over email). He confirmed that they are NOT bedbugs, and set my mind at ease. God willing I will never need his services, but I would certainly call Jeremy again and recommend him to my friends. read more

To be a bed bug inspector you also have to be a psychologist--- I told Jeremy that's what he was-- he is so calm and unscary-- a much needed service since bed bugs evoke such fear. They send a dog along with someone who inspects for signs of bed bugs very carefully, which is great since dogs can alert you to early signs even when there is no clear evidence so you can do something quickly and simply. At the same time if there is no problem dogs let you know this too. I ended up not having bed bugs-- a great relief. My daughter had bites and I wasnt sure if she got them at my place after she slept over. You don't have to wait long for a call back or an appt- the speed helps a great deal too. read more

I called Jeremy after another inspection team dropped the ball: long-ish story, but, though their conclusions were incomplete, the exterminator they were allied to was going to jump right in with a full bore, 4 month treatment. Reading the Yelp reviews, I noted "peace of mind" and that's certainly what I wanted... and that is certainly what I got. Professionalism, thoroughness prompt arrival, friendly explanation and, as I knew, a "no bug or egg found" inspection. Very helpful, knowledgeable and responsive. Hired them a few weeks ago when I saw something that I thought was a bedbug and luckily, they found nothing. This week, we had bites and found a couple of dead bugs so we called them again. They came back, inspected the place again and confirmed the bugs I found were not bedbugs but other insects and that our bites were probably from other insects or mosquitoes. Gave very good advice and most importantly, gave us peace of mind. They also didn't charge us anything for the second visit. Very good customer service. Highly recommended! read more

My roommate and I had a bed bug scare and were freaking out about it. The Bed Bug Inspectors (Oscar and Cruiser) came to our house, and (so very) thankfully, Cruiser didn't find anything. Their customer service was, quite simply, fantastic. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and down to earth and it made a big difference in the few days that we were freaking out over the BB scare. I just used live chat to identify a bug found on our kitchen table. Horrified with the prospect of a bed bug infestation, we held our breath. The live chat person was able to say it was DEFINITELY NOT a beg bug, probably a carpet beetle. Now we can return to a lovely afternoon...
