I came in for happy hour! Great selection of beers with a warm welcome! Had a couple of the $5 and $3 appy's which were perfect and quick! Would definitely eat here again!

This place looks so cool, it's has a dive bar vibe to it which I like. We got seated very quickly, then our waitress took us upstairs to a table and handed us the drink menu. We decide to get some pink lemonade which was recommended from our waitress. Pink Lemonade: 1/5 $8.25 (US DOLLARS $6.15) Made with Peach Vodka, Fresh Lime and Pink Lemonade. If you took one look at the pictures of the drinks that we order, you can tell that our drink was very watered down. It was so nasty that none of us could finish it. It tasted like water mix with vodka. Couldn't taste any lime, pink lemonade or the peach vodka. It was not worth $8.25 ($6.15 US DOLLARS)! The drinks are crazy cheap here, but there's a good reason. The drinks aren't very good, none of us enjoy any of the drinks we order. If it's too good to be true then most likely it is. Most of their beer on tap, cocktails, sangria and house spirits can be purchased by a glass (2 oz or 3.5 oz) or a pitcher (6 oz or 14oz) Service Our waitress completely forgot about us! We stay less then 30 minutes and just left... Cool bar, but sucky service and weak drinks!

Anthony was such an amazing server! Was prompt and made sure we had what was needed! He delivered the best suprise shots and provides amazing service!

The Beaver is an groovy little restaurant underneath one of the biggest international backpackers in vancouver. This means that the food has a slight international flavour and the atmosphere of the restaurant is continually changing. It's a great place to mingle and meet new people from around the world. The food has an apparent international flavour which has something for all diets, vegetarians included. Burger patties are made in house which give them a unique homestyle flavour. A selection of great salads (which you can add extras too), massive helping of nachos with salsa made in house for those a little peckish and delicious BBQ lamb sandwich to make your mouth water. Not for those on a budget the cheap $5 dinner specials that change daily. All of this is of course matched with a fully loaded bar with a great selection of local and imported beers (cheap pitches on house beer is great value), spirits and wine. Friendly bar staff and hostess's have great knowledge of their craft and always have a great suggestion of a drink to accompany your meal. Check out the nightly drink specials, something for eveyone.

Terrible pizza, tastes like spaghetti sauce on stale bread. But the drink prices are ok. Fun environment because if the hostel upstairs.

one of the best restaurants we tried in vancouver for sure…read more honestly, i would skip most of the main courses and just order off the happy hour menu because that was easily the highlight for us. the carpaccio was insanely good! super savory, rich, fresh, and packed with flavor. it had that perfect balance where the meat practically melts in your mouth, and every bite tasted bright, salty, and satisfying without feeling too heavy. definitely the standout dish of the night. i also really enjoyed the poutine. the melted cheese curds made it extra comforting and indulgent, and the whole dish felt way more elevated than standard poutine. the drinks were also amazing. both the mocktails and cocktails were genuinely well made and memorable instead of feeling like an afterthought. the only misses for me were the short rib and the steelhead trout, which both really needed salt. the risotto was also pretty mid and not very memorable compared to the other dishes.

I'm not sure if I would say it was "jumbo" but delicious nonetheless. Parmesan Truffles Fries - The fries were standard, as was the aioli it came with. Organic Beet + Arugula Salad - This was a happy hour portion. It was a good salad, but I wish it came on a bigger plate for easier eating. Service: Service was friendly and quick. The food came out of the kitchen pretty quickly. I was asked more than once if I wanted a drink since it was happy hour which was a little awkward but not too bad! TL;DR - Good happy hour deals with quick service

What a fun find in downtown Vancouver. I was looking for a good burger place while visiting the…read morecity. This place was just down the street so I thought I'd try it. The entrance is down a level from the Main Street. It's a comfortable place with good decor and friendly staff. The hostess was very nice and helpful with great suggestions. So glad we tried the Aussie poutine because it was great! Seasoned fries, peppery gravy and melted cheese; what's not to like. The dud burger was good, as were the onions rings. I wanted to try the Roo burger because when do you get the chance to try kangaroo? It was ok but not really my taste. The beers on draft are a good mix with lots of mixed drinks to choose from as well. I'm glad we tried this place and would definitely try it again if I'm ever in town. Go to Moose's Down Under and get a pint with your poutine!

I had a very successful comedy show at this venue and got everyone in through my own efforts. I…read moreadvertise the hell out of it, and the audience of over 55 was very happy with us. I found out very quickly that the venue had been charging patrons for my tickets, which was not agreed on, so who knows how many people they never paid me for who were forced to pay them for my show rather than the performers getting the profits. At the end of the night they refuse to pay me the agreed-upon compensation for running the show and drawing in a crowd, gaslit me, and were incredibly hostile and rude. They said I should have gotten in 200 people with no stage view and given them the ticket sales. I literally had more than double the people I've had at other shows where I was paid more compensation and the owners were incredibly happy. The manager lied that the owner had left when he was right there. The owner eventually agreed to pay us half what was promised, and then the manager and his wife literally gave us a third of what we were owed. Went back to the owner at the back, when they said that he had left again and told us to gtfo, and again the owner told them to pay us, and then they cheated me out of an extra $20 and told us they didn't care about our patron's business. Not a single person at this bar is Australian, the nachos and poutine I tried sucked and were gross. They charged my performers for food and drinks when they agreed they'd cover it. I was told by other people that they charged them for extra drinks. This is the worst experience I've ever had at a venue or in a decade of running shows. And the manager threatened to cancel me from other venues for expect pay agreed on, as I have at all shows. If you want to go to an authentic Australian place, the only thing these Persians have in common is the way they treat people is criminal.
