My burger was definitely overcooked and a bit on the dry side. I had a bite of the other items on the menu such as brunch or fries and they were fine. The service is great and patio area in the back is perfect to share with your dog. I'd visit again.

Always my favourite spot for food with my dog. They are very pet friendly. Service is great. Love the back yard garden.

Been coming here for years. Yesterday asked for a custom bacon and blue cheese burger. No problem! It was huge and delish. Always quality food. Menu could use a refresh

Ordered a Reuben sandwich and classic burger and shared it with my hubby. Portions are decent. Fries are tasty but not that crispy. I quite enjoyed the Reuben sandwich. The burger was big but the meat was a little dry and overcooked.

Roast beef dinner - the broiled kale is stupid good.

We came here on a late afternoon on a crisp sunny early October. Luckily, they had heated outdoor seats (it's breezy so wear a coat), so we could dine there in person. Gotta say, what a great little neighbourhood gem! Very relaxed vibe, friendly staff. Our server was super friendly and helpful. We ordered their potato haystacks, Casper salad and roast beef dinner. The Caesar salad was ENORMOUS. Order a half size, or share it with 3-4 people. The dressing had real anchovies in it (a plus for me), but could have used a bit more lemon, so maybe get some extra. The haystacks were also HUGE, and OMG SO FRIGGEN DELICIOUS!! Basically, if a rosti, hash browns and fully loaded potato skins had a lovebaby, this would have been it. If you're on a diet, this isn't for you. If you want to enjoy a deliriously good "naughty" cheat dish, this big platter of carbs and fat is the ticket. Except for the bacon, it would be vegetarian. The roast beef was probably the least successful dish, but it was still pretty good, because the vegetables were so d*mn good (honestly, that roasted kale is like crack). The biggest quibble is that they carve you a very thin piece. I'd prefer a thicker cut, or maybe have the option to pay extra for a thicker cut. I had ordered a rare slice, but got well done. The server immediately replaced it with a rare slice and told me to take the well done pieces home "for the dog" - this was appreciated. And no, I don't have a dog, so it went into a breakfast hash the next day. The wine list is small but REALLY excellent value. Overall, I had a great experience and look forward to my next visit (with a proper coat on)!

    Espresso martini. Fail.

I've frequented this establishment a few times. Loving the outdoor patio, hope they get some heated lamps for winter. Enjoyed their soups, wraps and sandwiches. Ordered an espresso martini and I'd recommend you go for something else, or if the owner is reading this... please don't use coffee liquor as the base... I'd pay a bit more for a shot of espresso with some espresso vodka from van goh. Service is good, it's bar service. To those who say it's slow, it's because who likes being rushed when throwing one back.

One of our Faves in Vancouver I have never had a bad meal here We've enjoyed it every time. We came here with my Son and his Fiancé and they just loved their experience The value is still very good here especially compared to lots of other restaurants in town The serving sizes are all very generous and the prime rib was huge! The service is always prompt and friendly I can usually get a good banter going with them here and they are fun good spirited people I have a hard time getting anything other than the spanakopita for my main because it's the Best It melts in your mouth and the pastry is always perfect Flaky & light I can't use that word about many other places but I definitely can here Another fave of ours is their ceviche It's not your standard classic type but it's excellent We also love the atmosphere wether your inside or on the patio This is definitely our go-to place when in town We will be Back!

Great dog-friendly place! There is a small area in the front (bar height seating) that is covered by a canopy - might be able to get away with this if there is rain. Otherwise, there is a great patio area both upfront and at the back of the restaurant that has lots of picnic tables with umbrellas - perfect for beautiful sunny days! Patio area is also heated and there are dog bowls provided. Dogs can sit right by the table which is great! No need to tie up on the other side of the fence. Servers are very nice and always checks in! Food and drinks are okay. Pawrents ordered cocktails but will probably just go with beers next time. They ordered the to share plate with ribs - ribs were good and also the calamari! The chicken parm they ordered were okay - chicken was a bit dry.

Ordered the Curry Chicken entrée tonite for takeout. The curry was delicious However, halfway through my dinner, I bit onto something verrrrrry hard. I immediately spat it out onto my hand and was absolutely APPALLED to discover it was a metal screw!!!! WTFFFFF?!!!! I immediately called them to notify them and the male employee named Matt said: "All we can do is offer you a refund." How about making sure something as dangerous as this doesn't happen again as it shouldn't have even happened in the first place. Imagine the hazard of swallowing that pointy metal screw! The restaurant industry has been suffering in this pandemic. Way to go to win over customers with your carelessness. Go at your own risk.

We came here for drinks before our dinner reservation across the street. Our group of 4 was seated right away even though it was Saturday night. Our waitress was super friendly and they had a good selection of cocktails, wine and beer. I tried the watermelon martini which was super delicious- not overly sweet. I also had the pineapple gin fizz which was tasty as well. We would return for drinks again next time we are in the area.

Contrary to what you might think, Chaise on Main isn't a furniture store where you can find an assortment of lounge chairs... it's actually an eatery in the Riley Park area of Vancouver with a gastropub concept. It does have a bit of a bar vibe going on... complete with a waitress that's a bit on the gruff side. We showed up early on Good Friday and decided to do a mix of brunch and bar food. First up was the Honey Garlic Chicken Wings ($14). They have a variety of wing flavours to choose from but these turned out pretty good... not overly sweet with a nice light crispness to the exterior. The Seafood Benedict ($14) comes with crab and shrimp and is served on a toasted English muffin with wonderfully made hash brown potatoes and a small bowl of fruit. I like that they ask how you want your poached eggs - I asked for soft poached and the yolks were perfectly runny. Honestly, the food was pretty good here but, as I said earlier, the service was a bit meh... nothing overly bad but just little things that rang out in my head (ie. the way the waitress casually tossed the coasters on the table, the tone of her voice which sounded like she was just going through the motions, etc...).

    Tuna and tortilla chips....sure!

This looks like a one man show as he took care of seating people, making drinks, etc. We kept the orders fairly simple - we tried the Kir Royale Jell-O shots and glory hole (bartenders choice) as this place seems to be known for their shots. The Jell-O shots were quite sweet and not really strong and the glory hole one is more licorice like which is not really my thing but at least it's strong. The value is good for getting 2 at a time as it was $9CAD for 1 or $14CAD for 2. The place is pretty cool as you walk in an accountant firm first before approaching the bar. The space inside is very cramped and you're shoulder to shoulder with people so not the most optimal for a date night but if you want a place for a short visit then this would be fine.

The waitress was sweet and helpful throughout, but things got awkward when we asked for the check. The first person paid and tipped 15%, and surprisingly, the waitress asked if something was wrong with her service. That comment caught all of us off guard. The second person, feeling uncomfortable, decided not to leave a tip at all. The waitress seemed annoyed and then handed me the card machine, saying I could "cover the tip on their behalf." I was honestly embarrassed by how pushy it felt. I ended up selecting the highest preset tip option just to avoid further awkwardness, but she even encouraged me to use the custom tip button to pay more. Is this kind of behavior acceptable? I always thought tipping was optional and based on the service -- is it becoming compulsory now? I honestly love the place, the ambiance the food but just for one experience I will never go back and won't recommend to my friends. Vancouver has a lot of great places with great food, ambience, and staff with great service. I am also a person who always leaves a tip as an appreciation.

We ordered earlier in the day, and the shucker was clearly alert, taking the extra steps to ensure a clean finish. Truffle fries were indulgent and perfectly crisp, though the garlic aioli was milder than I prefer -- almost like straight mayo without a punch. I skipped the sushi wrap, sticking to my traditionalist ways, but my friend enjoyed it. Brownie bites, complimentary as they were, were a disappointment. Lacking enough fat and possibly stored improperly, they tasted a bit stale -- a shame, because how does a brownie not taste good? Sadly after visiting the rooftop twice for happy hour and once for dinner with an announced significant birthday number shared, and two breakfast's a three is all we can muster. It should be so much more, but the food lets down the entire experience. Our service was good, with delightful people helping our experience. That said service is slow, with details that should be spot on, not even evident. Water glasses left empty forever, promises made, not even brought up again. When the reservation was made a question was asked of an event for the dinner out. A 60th birthday was mentioned, acknowledged, and when sat by our server and nothing further. To be fair K would rather it all go by unannounced, but when it's all over the paperwork a small recognition should be there. The space itself, is not on a rooftop at all, but it's a beautiful high ceilings restaurant that deserves a far better kitchen. Our price fixe menu for two at $155 or so was definitely not worth the price at all. The steak was uniformly medium when med rare was the ask. There was a tiny bit of medium rare at one end, but the vast majority was medium or more. The torch of the butter on the steak, looked good from afar prior to our serving, but right in front of you looks almost comical. Our breakfasts were average at best, again service was ok, but the food was not where it should be, in fact not even close. We'd ponder staying at the hotel again due to location, but we'd not eat here.
