Very cool spirit lounge with a a unique decor and funky cocktails…read more A bit spooky from the outside and very mysterious on the inside. The menu has a lot of fantastic cocktails. They are all a bit expensive but there is a happy hour so it can be a bit more affordable. The cocktails come with a nice tarot card. If you want to bring your friends to experience something different this is the perfect place. We loved our cocktails and will be back to try more.

I was over it, but we put a name down and walked down to find a bar for a drink and bites. They sent us a notification 30 minutes earlier than quoted so we finished up at the bar, paid our tab and walked over. We were seated in the corner area that only had one other table neighbor. Our drinks were great. The presentation even more entertaining. None of us were particularly hungry, but the table decided to get the donuts. Let me just first mention that it was dark af in there. We got two orders so that two people could share one. I took two bites and knew something was off. My friend took a bite and immediately said it didn't taste right. The other side took a bite of theirs and said the same thing. One person decided to turn the flashlight on their phone and flashed it at both plates to see what exactly was wrong. Them donuts were burnt. Fully. We called our server over who confirmed they were in fact burnt and told us she would take them off the bill. It was a bummer to have this be the end of our first day in the city.

I partially booked the Opus Hotel due to what I saw of the bar. Looked pretty awesome! We had a…read morefew drinks after checking in, needed a break after travelling all day. Everything on the HH menu is $5 3-6pm and all day Wednesday. We also got the meatball appetizer and the Baccala on toast. Bartender was friendly enough, gave some recommendations where to go for dinner. But then a very large party was being seated at the adjacent restaurant that the bar seems to also serve, and she got tied up pretty bad. We did see a couple come in and wait for a pretty long time and then just take off. And then the bar was closed for this private party at 7pm, and we had sort of planned on a nightcap after dinner in there. Fortunately we found PLENTY of awesome places to go after dinner so it was not an issue. While there during Happy Hour, the crowd was empty at first and the place filled up completely by the time we left. 30's and 40's crowd.

If you're looking for a comfortable, quiet, and cosy bar this is not the place for you. This is a place where Vancouverites get dressed up in their finest dark washed jeans. Am I being facetious - yes I am...but lets face it that's what passes for high fashion in this city. Celebrity sightings are not totally uncommon here, the servers are all friendly and quick to bring your drinks, and you're guaranteed plenty of beautiful people eye-candy. It's also a bar targeting a slightly more mature age group with their larger disposable income - so no annoying teeny boppers knocking back B-52's here and whoohooing it up. One shocking thing I discovered on my last visit to OPUS Bar, was that they aren't allowed to do "real" bottle service there. So if you order a bottle of Goose for the table, be prepared to have your server take it away and bring it back out only when requested or when glasses start to go empty - thankfully Champagne & Wine are exempt from this strange rule.

The sauces were so delicious and the noodles were cooked perfectly al dente. Our food came out so quickly our server was genuinely such a good time. She was amazing. We were able to sit at the outdoor patio. I had a reservation so you might have to request it because it is a first come first serve basis. I genuinely wish we could go back to Vancouver to eat at this restaurant again. Also, to top it off The chocolate soufflé is to die for. The parking situation is definitely not ideal but the food, the location and the service totally make up for it.

I recommend the one by Robson Street / Burrard b/c it's has a much more relaxed vibe. We walked into the Pender Street one and it's more business/high end. Robson is casual and great staff! First off - when we gave our name for the reservation, we were greeted with a glass of sparkling wine. What a start! We then had the pleasure of eating outside and having Brent as our server. Another two pluses! For drinks we got the cocount smash and watermelon drink - both good, but I liked the sparkling wine better. For appetizer, we go the scallop ceviche. Hands down - it was fabulous. The pineapple dressing added the perfect caribbean flavor to it. For entrees we got the prawn fajitas and cauliflower taco plate. We loved both dishes and there was nothing left on the plate when we were done. Such a great vibe and wonderful food and staff. If ever in the area - we would go back!
