We stopped by here for a bit to have a couple of drinks. The place had a good crowd and a good DJ that was playing some good music to go along with the music videos. We were seated at a table and had a waitress come take our drink orders. Not sure why, but it took them over 20 minutes for us to get our drinks. By that time, we were already not feeling that excited about the place and were ready to leave. It might be faster just to order your drinks from the bar.

A fantastic dive bar! Waiting till the New Year to arrive, we found the Dime already to party. With a live DJ and blasting those 90's tunes, it was a good way to ring in the New Year. The wait staff were awesome! Checking on us and making sure we got everything we needed. The drink menu is a whole page long, with the usual suspects: beers, wine, cocktail and shots. The Dikki-tini ($6.50 for a single, and $10 for a double) was delicious! For those who don't drink alcohol it was perfect ! The food menu had a great variety with everything you could want. For the fantastic price of $4.95 ! That's right! Everything on the menu is evenly priced for $4.95. With the diversity of items on the menu I will definitely go back to try EVERYTHING. It was a delicious way to end 2017. 2018, lets explore more yummy finds like The Dime.

The Dime Burger! That's what I think of first every time I come here. I always get the Dime Burger because it's so cheap and filling. Usually with any number of beers. They do have other food here of course. But the Dime Burger is what I always order when I am here. It's dark, but not too dark and the warm lights and music provide a nice ambience to this restaurant. Once in awhile it gets really busy but usually I haven't had to wait to get a seat. The service is good and this bar is one of the bars that open later on the drive.

It's cozy, stylish, and the drinks are crafted with serious skill. We tried their This or That summer cocktail feature (running until August 31), along with the Lost Luggage cocktail. This was fine with us since the goal was to have a couple of drinks and stuff ourselves with some burgers and fries from Hundy (the burger joint we needed to go through to get to Stock Room). I started with the dangerous liaison cocktail (beefeater gin, peach, lemon, sugar, butterfly pea flower). This was a solid drink, refreshing and hit the spot. My second drink was spreadsheet (beefeater, st. germain, lime, strawberry syrup, green strawberry bitters). I enjoyed this drink better as it wasn't too sweet and the flavor profile was more to my taste when it comes to cocktails. I'm happy to have found another bar to add to my list of places to grab a good drink in Vancouver.

We sat indoors with the option to be seated outdoors with heated lamps but we didn't want to smell the smoke from people smoking outside. We ordered the Dark Spell Latte, Albedo Spritz, and Final Word. The Dark Spell Latte is like an espresso martini with chocolate syrup added, which is pretty solid. The Albedo Spritz is a red wine cocktail with hard liquor, and stood out to me as they had 5oz of alcohol so this was fairly strong, but I would imagine most of the ounces came from the wine itself. I liked the gold dusted blackberry. The Final Word is fruity and smoky, which I enjoyed, but not warrant a hefty price tag compared to the other drinks. Service is decent and in line with other restaurant bars. Overall, solid drinks at okay prices that I can see myself recommending this spot. Given the name, it would be great to see more alchemy themed cocktails or decor as what draws me as a frequent bar goer is themed and unique drinks.

Balanced, flavorful, and the kind of cocktails that make you want to linger a little longer. My husband and I tried a couple of stellar cocktails: Dr. Greenthumb (10/10), Smoked Old Fashion (9/10), Hibiscus Spritz (9/10) and a shot of Michter with draught beer for drinks. We paired them with a charcuterie board "Bart's board' that came loaded with three types of cheese, a nice selection of meats, pickles and plenty of crackers to go around. Everything was fresh and thoughtfully put together. We also enjoyed the bar nuts! Other food items on the menu sound absolutely delicious but we wanted to wait for dinner. The vibe here is just lovely with warm lighting, a cool atmosphere, and the kind of ambience that makes conversation easy and fun. Perfect for a date night, casual social event with friends/coworkers. The servers really made the experience though--attentive, kind, and quick without ever rushing us. Definitely a place I'd come back to again (and again). Happy hour at Bartholomew is highly recommended!

The servers that brought out hors d'oeuvres were very friendly, professional, and attentive. The bartender was great as well. I throughly enjoyed both of my mocktails; blush hour and another drink that isn't normally on their menu that had ginger. My favorite hors d'oeuvre was hands down the scallop. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. We were offered a 5 course meal, thai soup was amazing. The sorbet oalate cleansers was refreshing I had asked for my steak to come really rare and found it to be a bit overcooked. The texture seemed slightly different too. I would have enjoyed this more if there was a bit more sauce. Thr mashed potatoes were delicious and so were the Brussel sprouts and garlic carrots. Dessert was chocolate mint pot de creme. If you're looking for a comfortable, quiet, and cosy bar this is not the place for you. This is a place where Vancouverites get dressed up in their finest dark washed jeans. Am I being facetious - yes I am...but lets face it that's what passes for high fashion in this city. Celebrity sightings are not totally uncommon here, the servers are all friendly and quick to bring your drinks, and you're guaranteed plenty of beautiful people eye-candy. It's also a bar targeting a slightly more mature age group with their larger disposable income - so no annoying teeny boppers knocking back B-52's here and whoohooing it up. One shocking thing I discovered on my last visit to OPUS Bar, was that they aren't allowed to do "real" bottle service there. So if you order a bottle of Goose for the table, be prepared to have your server take it away and bring it back out only when requested or when glasses start to go empty - thankfully Champagne & Wine are exempt from this strange rule.
