"The Greek" bagel sandwich and a chai latte at "The Bearded Barista coffee & stuff"

This is a really neat place to come alone and get a little work done like I did or to come hang out with friends. There are many tables and groups of couches to choose from. My chai latte was great but my bagel, that was a home run! I am headed back to my hometown next week and have been looking forward to real NY bagels but now after eating this bagel with all this goodness on it ("The Greek") I'm no longer craving NY bagels so much (that's a huge thing for someone raised on NY bagels that's been gone for decades!!) I hesitated ordering it but I am so glad I decided to be adventurous because it tasted amazing! I actually finished the whole thing which for me is a huge deal. The staff here are wonderful, helpful without being "in the way". You go and order and they bring your food to you. Then they leave you be but they are around if you need anything. I will definitely be back when I come back for Dr appointments in town!!

First time here... I had heard soldiers talking about this place so I decided to try it. Frankly I was disappointed on the flavor of the coffee. I am a coffee lover. I am gone to many different coffee shops that brew Peruvian, Guatemalan and Turkish coffee. I don't ordered a Latte with Lavender. Mind you I have had Lavender coffee before from other places. I was disappointed with the flavor of the coffe and the lavender. I was unable to even taste lavender in the latte. Plus the coffee had a strong flavor of burnt coffee. It was overpowering. Could be the reason I couldn't taste the Lavender. I did advised the employee and they were willing to make fresh coffee. I was thankful for that. Just thought they would be more aware of the coffee they are selling. I kept my coffee and just had him add more lavender and still was unable to taste it. Oh well. It is what it is. Not sure if I will ever try this place again. I was interested in trying a bagel. But not sure how much pride they take in their efforts on making it. I like the fact that the employees bring you your drink and food out to your seating area. Ambience is nice and has a relaxing feel. They have tables and couches. And an area to work in your laptop.

Matcha Latte!!

Nice ambiance...very spacious. Love the matcha latte, a pump of honey with half and half, can't go wrong. Came in just to relax, and couldn't have chose a better place.

This place is a diamond! You know you've found a gem of a coffee shop.... When you come across a coffee shop on social media and you read the story and check out the businesses motto and style, so you make it a point your first chance to go to check it completely out. And it blows you away! Customer service was great, the selection of product was awesome, the experience and setting here is phenomenal. I've never walked into a coffee shop and legitimately said, I found my new office! I can't wait to go back, to try food and more drink an I had a white chocolate sugar free nitro cold brew with a little heavy cream and I was over the moon about how much I enjoyed the drink and the ladies enjoyment of making me feel so welcome! (Also they have a rewards program!)

I love the ambiance of this place. It looks small from the outside but when you go in, the shop is actually quite large. Lots of seating, which is good because it's frequently crowded. It's popular with college students and I've seen people there doing group meetings. There's even a room you can rent out in the back for special events. Bathrooms look clean and we'll maintained. There are a few books and games. There is a fairly good selection of drinks. Along with your common ones like Cafe au lait and Lattes, there are also the highly caffeinated like the Defribrillator with six shots and the Drunken Irishman with their whisky espresso and irish cream. There are also options for non-coffer drinkers and bagels/sandwiches for purchase. My mom doesnt like coffee so she got the London Fog. She was super impressed with the atmosphere of the place and wants to come back for lunch. There is a stage, indicating there are sometimes live events. Currently, the place is decorated for Christmas and it is clear they take decorating seriously. Definitely would recommend.

Stopped here while visiting our Angels location next door. Had the build your own breakfast sandwich and coffee of the day. It was so good i went back because I had to try the defibrillator- y'all!!! I haven't been the same since and can't find anywhere close to where i live that can recreate it. I will absolutely be back!

Can I leave a bonus star or 4 for this spot?! I travel for work and often love to try the local coffee spots and I tell ya, this one is next level amazing. The unassuming strip mall entrance hides a massive space that is so cozy, comfortable and just downright adorable. Someone took both time and some money to set this up perfectly. The menu is massive and has a great variety of both the usual but also house made syrups, build your own breakfast and gluten free bread, bagels and muffins. Our coffee was spot on and the staff were friendly and fast. If you're local, there is also online ordering. As for me, just passing through, I will make this a must stop for next time in town.

The most recent new local spot I found and made a debut visit to with my GF was The Bearded Barista. Open for just over 2 weeks they are getting their name and products known fast! I see why that is now! It's really darn good all round from coffee to smoothies to sandwiches and bagels. Nothing here is just typical either. Owners Nat and Kim are doing things a little differently here and boy it works. They have so many local collaboration plans it's crazy! I can't wait to see what amazing out of the box creations form from this place in the coming months. The space is huge, WiFi is fast, the staff rock and the friendship they display is top notch. This place may become the kind of local cafe we all got to know on the TV series 'Friends'. Just watch and see! First responder discounts also!

Great atmosphere with the couches. The coffee was super hot so I had to wait a bit, and our bagels were just enough

A pleasant foodie surprise in San Angelo!…read more I had to come into San Angelo for work and going into the trip, I was not too excited about my food options available to me as a vegetarian...but I did find Buttercup online and it seemed close enough to those "hip, city coffee shops", meaning I should be able to get some decent food! Unfortunately, a lot of their hot sandwich options were off the table since they seemed to have a broken toaster, but I was able to order a hummus veggie sandwich that came with seasoned potato chips, a side salad, and a stick of chocolate. I also got a vanilla cake bite (pop without the stick) and everything was about $18 with tip. I didn't feel like trying any of the drinks, but some of the coffee flavors sounded interesting and they have seasonal flavors too. The ambiance is inviting, and definitely feels like a cozy place for the community to come hang. If you ever find yourself in this part of west Texas, definitely keep this spot in your back pocket for close to healthy eats!

The coffee options are plentiful and they do their own take on both custom and traditional coffee drinks. You will find all your caffeine needs here. They also have a good menu. It ranges from custom toasts to toasted bagels and even extensively crafted charcuterie boards. Service is friendly and knowledgeable and they have a drive thru if you are in a hurry. There are a few good coffee options in San Angelo and if you are in Buttercup's part of town, this is your stop.

Our waitress was friendly, took our order and brought our orange juices quickly. I ordered the Western omelette w/hash browns (potato chunks) & toast and my husband opted for the breakfast burrito and coconut cream pie for desert. My husband seemed to have enjoyed his breakfast more than I mine although he didn't like the pie. My toast was buttery and there was no jelly in sight or our waitress to ask. Also, no salt & pepper or condiments on any of the tables like other restaurants. Perhaps because it's a senior citizen complex they aren't allowed to spice things up. Guessing here, perhaps government subsidized (501C3) so they are able to offer price reduced meals. The place was clean, quiet, ample seating and a nice menu selection. However, it's just not my thing to dine in at a "nursing home environment". I'm happy to see Main Street Cafe is available for those who are wanting cheap meals.
