New owners, open again! They also own a Tea2go elsewhere and were asked to take over this store. Best tea in town!

A pleasant foodie surprise in San Angelo!…read more I had to come into San Angelo for work and going into the trip, I was not too excited about my food options available to me as a vegetarian...but I did find Buttercup online and it seemed close enough to those "hip, city coffee shops", meaning I should be able to get some decent food! Unfortunately, a lot of their hot sandwich options were off the table since they seemed to have a broken toaster, but I was able to order a hummus veggie sandwich that came with seasoned potato chips, a side salad, and a stick of chocolate. I also got a vanilla cake bite (pop without the stick) and everything was about $18 with tip. I didn't feel like trying any of the drinks, but some of the coffee flavors sounded interesting and they have seasonal flavors too. The ambiance is inviting, and definitely feels like a cozy place for the community to come hang. If you ever find yourself in this part of west Texas, definitely keep this spot in your back pocket for close to healthy eats!

The coffee options are plentiful and they do their own take on both custom and traditional coffee drinks. You will find all your caffeine needs here. They also have a good menu. It ranges from custom toasts to toasted bagels and even extensively crafted charcuterie boards. Service is friendly and knowledgeable and they have a drive thru if you are in a hurry. There are a few good coffee options in San Angelo and if you are in Buttercup's part of town, this is your stop.

Moving into the food and drink items! I got a Large Drunken Moose which I really enjoyed and was honestly pretty good, I would say I can have maybe a little stronger taste to really define bourbon or rum (I forgot which one it says it tastes like) in it! My wife got the blended Cool Bean, it was good and of course sweet, but do know that the blended Cool Bean and the Cool Bean Drink do taste different, I personally enjoy it just plain, not blended. Last up we had the Oreo Dream Bar! Not gonna lie it was amazing to say the least, very rich, creamy, and cakey! I will say that it is good for two people because of how rich the flavor is but it was perfect for us! My only downfall with this place is the customer service. I'm not trying to be an a-hole or sound peppy but you'd think that if there isn't really anyone in the place that the people behind the counter would at least greet you walking in, instead of all starring at you. Just gives me a weird vibe to be honest. Most of the girls behind the counter as well always give my wife and I both attitude for 0 reason when we are always nice and always tip, just makes it unejoyable and uncomfortable. We are unable to come back to here unfortunately because we moved but hopefully other people get to experience it as well!

Adorable coffee shop and delicious coffee but customer service is lacking. Then the girls making the coffee just stood there and talked about their weekend without greeting or engaging with customers or really paying attention to how hot you are steaming the milk. The cup was so hot I couldn't even hold it with the sleeve on it. Very disappointing.

The menu was explained to us and there are so many options! We have lived in Houston for about 9 years, so I was worried that my standards were going to be too high for drinks. My husband and I both got the tiger taro slush. Mine with brown sugar boba my husband with mango. 10 out of 10 rating for both of us! We absolutely loved it. Perfect flavoring, just the right sweetness, although you can adjust that to your liking. We will for sure be back

The boba was soggy and noticeably overcooked, which really took away from the texture. The taro coconut latte was decent, but the taro slushie was far too sweet despite requesting less sugar, so sweet that we couldn't finish it. Being one of the few boba spots in town, this place definitely fills a niche when you're craving boba. However, compared with the many excellent options in San Antonio, the quality and balance of flavors just aren't on the same level. It will satisfy the craving if you don't have many alternatives nearby, but for truly good boba, I'd look elsewhere, if you can find any around here.

Inside was spotless and had several different coffee flavor options and a few muffin/bagel options along with Kolaches. My wife and I had never had one so I ordered one. When we received it we sat out out in the back courtyard and ate it along with blue berry muffins and drank our coffee. The courtyard was clean, comfortable and shady. What made this place special was the employees. All very kind with one woman, maybe the owner, taking a lot of time to explain what a Kolache was and the difference between a European kolache vs a Texas. So nice and kind. It was a litttl oasis with delicious coffee and great employees.

My friend was really disappointed in the flavor of his dark chocolate mocha. He threw it away without drinking more than a few sips. I appreciated the cleanliness of the restaurant, as well as proximity to the river walk. Service was fine - the coffee was started promptly, the coffee matched what we ordered, and the servers were distant but respectful. There were no food options here. While this location looks nice, I don't plan on coming back here for my coffee/breakfast.
