Unfortunately, a lot of their hot sandwich options were off the table since they seemed to have a broken toaster, but I was able to order a hummus veggie sandwich that came with seasoned potato chips, a side salad, and a stick of chocolate. I also got a vanilla cake bite (pop without the stick) and everything was about $18 with tip. I didn't feel like trying any of the drinks, but some of the coffee flavors sounded interesting and they have seasonal flavors too. The ambiance is inviting, and definitely feels like a cozy place for the community to come hang. If you ever find yourself in this part of west Texas, definitely keep this spot in your back pocket for close to healthy eats!

Today, I called in an iced coffee and told them I'd be there in about 5 mins. They told me they won't take a drink order over the phone and that they would make it once I arrived (perhaps knowing that the ice would melt and degrade the quality of the drink--I get it). I arrived and there were 2 parties in line in front of me. Altogether, after waiting for the customers before me and putting my order in, it took about 25 minutes from the time I called them to the time the drink was ready for pick-up. One would think a pick-up drink order would be prioritized, but no, they had me wait 20 minutes for them to complete all the lunch meals that were ahead of my call-in/pick-up drink order. Effective and proper business practice would be to prioritize a simple pick-up drink order and not make the customer wait for the time it takes to cook 6 full dishes for dine-in customers. To make things even spicier, I overhear them taking food orders over the phone 15 mins into my wait time. Definitely not coming back to this establishment unless I plan to dine-in, smell spicy, and maybe order a cup of overpriced disappointment... By that time a table had opened up which was nice. The service was fairly quick, the staff friendly and the restaurant was clean. There is a wall of draw beer taps with a nice selection to choose from. However, for those of us that haven't acquired the taste of beer they didn't have a lot of options of other beverages. No Iced tea or soda only canned and bottled beverages which is cold. On occasion you will see some nice "eye candy" so stop in and give them a try. I'm giving four stars only because of the limited selection of non alcoholic beverages. I know it's an Ale house so if your coming for their beer that's great but fountain drinks and iced tea would be nice for those who come for the pizza.
