This drive through coffee place is one of my favorites ever! The woman working it was very sweet with my dog and made me a good coffee (not the best in the world but plenty good enough to get the job done). The triple berry scone was good, again, not the best in the world but still good! The bagels are for sure the main event. Very easy access. Friendly fast baristas. Their coffee is some of the best I've had. And I have had coffee everywhere. Literally. The view along the coast is breath taking. They have some outside seating so you can walk up, order & sit outside on nice days. Which is awesome. Their menu is very diverse & they also offer organic choices & alternate dairy. If you have time to wait, this place is great! They can get busy on the weekends I assume during the summer. We visited on a weekend trip 4 cars ahead of us, waited about 20 minutes for our turn. Good solid coffee drive through. They have good breakfast sandwiches with vegetarian options, which is always nice to see. Only thing is on some occasions they'd run out of the veggie breakfast patties, so I had to go with the egg and cheese only bagel, still good, but not the same. Bakery items are hit and miss, had a good scone once, but their chocolate chunk cookie wasn't too great - maybe b/c it's vegan and gluten free. Good option for folks that want that, but just a regular chocolate cookie would probably taste a lot better. Also, they give treats to my pups - places like that always make the trip more enjoyable so I don't have my pups mauling me for my food while busy with their treat (for a few moments anyway!). read more

I have to give this little drive thru 5 stars on just 3 items I have tried there the last couple of days, the Berry Smoothie, the peach smoothie and a peanut butter cookie....the smoothies were beyond amazing , and honestly we bought the cookie for our dogs but I broke off a bite for myself (I loooove Peanut butter) and then sparingly shared it with dogs!! We normally dont look for organic types of food or drink...okay we actually never do lol. Pretty overpriced for it being almost exclusively pre-bought and re-sold. Also be careful if you have allergies, the young women who were there when I went had no idea what they were talking about, and gave us regular donuts and claimed they were gluten free. Luckily we don't sick if we eat it! read more

The Shade Tree Coffee Shop is a cool little spot right off the road. This coffee shop has great prices and excellent tasting coffee. This was my first time here at the Shad Tree and it was a good one, I ordered a Vanilla Latte; it wasn't too sweet, which I like and it came with a sticker and two m@ms. I would defiantly recommend the Shade Tree to anyone. read more

Two stars. The menu is extensive, but very simple. 100 versions of bagels, and muffins. Candles (?nude women?), flowers, tchotchkes, etc. for sale. It's a very cluttered appearance. This would all be fine if there was more then one person working there. Even though it's the coast, and there is a slower pace, I don't have 30 minutes to wait for a mediocre mocha and bagel. I had an order from another place nearby on my seat, and the barista decided to inform me why she doesn't like that place, what they do wrong, etc. given it's a local business, this left me with a feeling of disgust. I expect business owners to support each other. read more

Excellent selection of milk alternatives, pastries, and bagels. I don't usually like to try independently owned operations because the quality can sometimes be hit or miss. But this place delivered. Probably the best coffee I've ever had! Plus the bagel sams are so yummy. Try the toasted everything bagel with jalapeño/artichoke cream cheese and Canadian bacon and turkey. This cute little coffee shop was on the side of the road and we happened by it while going back to Waldport. The owner was super friendly, adding stickers and m&ms to the coffee lid and giving our children free fruit snacks. The coffee was superb and the prices were cheap to average. Absolutely adore this little drive through coffee shop! It is nestled off the side of the 101 and easy to miss if you aren't watching for it. Good coffee, normal prices and a really cute atmosphere and feel to the place. It's a drive thru and walk up. The locals of waldport prefer this coffee shop. Ownership has recently changed (Oct. '15) and I am so happy with the changes the new owner/barista has made. The coffee is now Cafe' Mam, an organic, free trade coffee with full body and fantastic flavor. The pastries are made on site or locally made, the biscotti are particularly unique and delicious.
