After coming down the coast to visit Newport, we were looking for a good brunch spot along the way…read more We visited the Hilltop Cafe Bistro, and may I say, what a great experience! If you're from the Portland metro area and visit the coast, this is a nice place to try out. The portions were generous. The pancake order comes with four, and they are BIG. The potatoes were cooked with onion, which gives them a nice taste. The bacon also had a great texture; usually, when you try new diners, the bacon tends to be more squishy. If you're not a fan of that, then this bacon is for you!The biggest surprise was their sourdough toast. It had a crunchy crust, a fluffy inside, and great taste--you can definitely tell it's made from scratch every day! Overall, the staff was great. One thing to keep in mind is that there isn't much room; I'd say it holds about 40 to 50 people. Most dishes are around the $15-$20 mark, but for the generous portions and great taste, Hilltop Cafe Bistro is a 9.1/10!

The scone was pretty delicious, light and sweet. Yum. The mochas had a LOT of chile pepper in them.and my son said it burned his throat. My mouth tingled. A lot. Sadly we did not drink much of them. If spice is your jam you will like them. We expected more of a cinnamony type Mexi mocha so that was quite a surprise. The chocolate covered espresso bean was a nice touch. I don't know if we would go back. Maybe?

I got a Himalayan mocha and the stout. The bagel was good, but I would definitely stick to ordering a breakfast burrito. The sandwiches looked good and the portions were HUGE. The pasteries are so good. I got the pistachio filled croissant and wow that was life changing! Super cozy and community oriented. There are conversation starters on the table and different books.

My family and I decided to take a mini weekend getaway to Waldport... Typical weekend on The Oregon Coast. Beach. Sand. That crisp cool air and the morning fog. Things couldn't be more perfect; but then I found The Beachside Buzz. Local, small town Barista with a giant heart. Not some chain. Not your ordinary coffee stop. This cheeky local makes a mean cup of joe. I had the best Milky Way Non-fat latte on the West coast!!! (Of course I had a double dose of her homemade whipped cream!) After, the greatest small talk. I found out that Raychel could make me one of their famous bagel sandwiches on GF bread. That's a big deal for a foodie that can't have gluten. Then to top things off.... I even had a GF peanut butter cookie. I was in heaven. Good coffee. Great food. Amazing Barista. I came by the next morning before leaving town. I had the same Barista, with the same smile. She remembered me, and my drink too!!! It doesn't get any better than that. Try to find that in The City!!! read more

On a trip to visit my Aunt in Waldport, we stopped at The Beachside Buzz for a little something to drink. I am not a huge fan of coffee, so got a vanilla chai and it was delicious! They also had lots of goodies, which is no surprise, but what I was surprised to see was vegetarian and gluten free options. Espresso is always done just right here and there are lots of goodies including scones, muffins, breakfast sandwiches and more. They care about ingredients and organic items are used as much as possible. It's one of our favorite coffee places on the Oregon Coast. The staff are always friendly too. This is the go-to coffee shop in the area! I would definitely grab coffee and breakfast here before hitting the beach or trail and do very often. The staff is friendly and the ingredients are carefully curated from mostly local options. It's conveniently located right on Hwy 101 next to a cannabis shop. read more
