Recently took a trip up and down the Oregon Coastline and Espresso 101 was our morning coffee stop every morning. We stayed in Yachats about 8 miles south of Waldport, but it was our first stop every morning. My buddy had been here before, so he brought me here day one and I immediately became hooked. The coffee was amazing and their menu has just about something for everyone. The service was fantastic. All of the girls were so pleasant and friendly even early in the morning! I would highly recommend stopping by even if you are just driving through! The Shamrock, The Milky Way, and The French Toast Latte were all hits! They make a pretty good vanilla cold brew too! read more

They got two out of my three drinks, incorrect, and was very inconsistent with the pricing. I got a regular drink while my friend got an add-on to her drink and I paid more for my regular Schmeggular drink while my friend paid less than me when she got a more advanced drink that added money. I also asked for extra whippy and extra caramel drizzle on my drink, and they barely gave me any of the two and no whippy. Also, one of my drinks I asked for soft top and they said yes they'll give me my vanilla soft top made it sound so delicious and then guess what! I did didn't get any soft top but these girls are really mean so I didn't feel comfortable asking for them to add it. They will regret this do not come here. Also, the girls who work here were really mean in high school to everyone so this is where all the girls who peaked in high school go. I'm done. read more

Delicious coffee! This adorable little espresso hut in "downtown" Waldport, next to a little surf shop that rents wetsuits & such, is often so busy it took us years to try, but wish we had done so sooner. Friendly, efficient service and impressive memory skills - our barista remembered six semi-fussy drink orders without writing anything down! They have a decent selection of pastries - above average for espresso huts in my experience - but we weren't in the market for food. TL;DR - give them a try, particularly if you get lucky and the line is short!! read more

Mediocre food, standard drinks, unforgivably bad service by a frighteningly aggressive woman who should not be in a service industry. When I asked to be addressed respectfully, she declined and said, "I can give you my manager's name and number, but you will sound ridiculous." It got worse as we were leaving the lot and she left the stand and kept at us. This woman needs to be fired. Aggressive behavior is not okay, Update 3 days later: Would the owner please contact me. I am being harassed by the employee I complained about. Further Update: I have reported the employee to Yelp for harassment via their site, but she and the owner of this coffee stand need to know that they are opening themselves up to legal action. A store can not harass a customer for writing an honest review. And yet again: I wish to remind this store that it is against Yelp policy to write positive reviews for yourselves, even if done under a fake name. After three attempts on my part, the owner called me back. She left a cheerful message that expressed no concern for me. I decided not to return the call. I am not giving this business a fourth opportunity to subject me to insulting behavior. I will simply restate, there is something seriously wrong with the aggressive behavior coming from this cafe. read more

The coffee is really good and reasonably priced. The 2 star review is because of the interaction we had with the barista today. She seemed irritated when my friend and I ordered our coffee with the cold brew shots. When we asked if they had any donuts left the girl said no we don't. And then stopped and said well we have one but that she wanted it for herself. Lastly my drink was handed out the window wrapped in a paper towel and she said oh it spilt a little because she filled it to full. the paper towel was soaked and the whole top part of the lid was filled with coffee. Why would you hand a messy cup that is dripping to someone in their car, when you could've simply put it into another cup. Horrible experience. read more

I was happy with the coffee (and my maple bar) from Espresso 101 since my first visit, but now it's turned into a total LIFESAVER. It's super close to where I stay while I'm in Waldport, so I come here pretty often. Some mornings I walk over and grab something while waiting for my own coffee to finish at home (yes it's a problem) or when I am just completely out. The times I am completely out of coffee at home, I will probably stop here several times throughout the morning. Other times, I just need something special and sweet, especially if I am already out walking around the town and pass by it anyway. I like both their regular brewed coffee and their cappuccino (my usual order), but my favorite things for more of a "treat" are the Ghiradella specialty mochas. I have tried them all and enjoyed them all, but my favorite is the Mexican spiced. If you don't know what you want, I recommend trying it! Last time I went, I ordered a vanilla frappe and it was delicious, even in the cold and rain. I'll definitely be getting that again in the future. When it's sunny, the picnic table they have out is also really nice to sit at, so it's cool they keep it out there. Service has always been awesome and friendly. I've never had a single issue here, never even a long wait. Absolutely no complaints I can think of, and I will continue getting coffee here for as long as they are around! read more

Love the coffee here! Always good! Great service! These ladies work so hard. It can be difficult waiting on the public. I witnessed a customer being rude to them. An old lady being mean and just trying to start an argument- even took money from the tip jar! The barista had to come out and grab the tip jar. This made the old lady really mad. The workers handled it all so well. As customers we are responsible for our actions and how we treat people. We do not have the right to take our bad days out on those who serve us. read more

What a find. We were up at o'dark thirty in a 2 car caravan in search of totality for the Eclipse! The adults needed coffee STAT and we stumbled across this tiny coffee shack. The girls were hustling to provide fast service to the walk-up line on one side and line of cars on the other. They did an outstanding job. Meanwhile nothing else was open and we had a 10 year old in need of a bathroom. They didn't hesitate to let us use theirs across the parking lot and gave us a key. This place is great! The coffee is wonderful and the food is delicious I had a cappuccino and a raspberry cream cheese turnover for myself. The two young women working at the time were efficient and kind. They even warmed up my pastry without me asking! In Portland, some places won't warm up a pastry even if you ask! Cheery little espresso stand right in the middle of Waldport on 101. I have to admit, on our first full day in town I was shocked at the number of empty buildings. It was pretty sobering. All the more reason to love the sight of a coffee cart! We stopped in close to 5:00 (during the summer) and were thankful that a barista was still inside. Both Hubs and I had 2% iced lattes. We were happy. Then, we wandered over to the only open store (Well-Read Books) with a skip in our step. Make sure to stop in on a trip to or through Wally World. read more

Espresson 101 has fast professional service, tasty caramel and vanilla Latte's. There is no Starbucks in Waldport, this is now our go to spot for a morning Latte when in Waldport. iPhone directions (pointed to by Yelp) said it would be on my right heading south on 101. Heading South on 101 it is on the left just after the bridge. read more

We ordered a few beverages here to take back to our campsite. The barista was a bit thrown by me ordering a 'dirty chai' which is okay, but when I explained that I wanted a shot in a chai latte, she made a straight-up brewed tea mixture with a shot. Other beverages we ordered were fine. This espresso drive through is right across from one of the Waldport supermarkets (small one) and in front of the "Green Bike Co-Op" which looks like a do-it-yourself bike repair and rental shop. They didn't seem to have much food, probably a few pastries and biscotti. read more

I came in Sunday morning for some cold brew and an iced caramel coffee. The gals inside the coffee shack were so sweet, kind and exuberant. They asked me about my day and had wonderful manners and answered all of my questions about the sizing of their drinks. I saw one of the gals give a dog treat to the dog in the vehicle behind me. I knew of this little kiosk but had never tried it until today. My iced mocha was really good. I liked hanging around on the little bistro set watching the tourist traffic go by on the 101. I frequent Espresso 101 weekly at least and I order a double shot with a small amount of cream. If you like weak flavorless coffee, this might not be the place for you. I, however, like strong, bold coffee, and they deliver. Espresso 101 is also quite affordable, which I always appreciate. The last coffee I ordered broke my usual tradition because it was my 11th and was thus free. It was a 16 oz quad chocolate iced breve and it was delicious. read more

I was just in getting my regular iced espresso drink and the barista obviously didn't want to be there. I had to turn around because she forgot half the stuff in my drink. She was extremely rude and argued with me about my drink. She explained that the owner made a lot of money at this hut. I told her I'd worked espresso for 11 years so I knew how the drink was made. She was still rude. I'm sorry I tipped and since the owner makes so much money, she won't need mine anymore. I must say, most of the baristas are very pleasant there usually, and I'm sorry she probably didn't want to be there today but don't take it out on the customers. read more
