Yachets is an annual visit for us, but it is never complete unless we visit Bread and Rose! Honestly, it's worth the trip regardless of where you're traveling from. If I could, I would drive every day from Bandon to visit. Hands down, the best coffee on the Oregon coast, and the pastries are not to be missed. Upon recommendations of other reviews, I arrived early to be sure I had the best selection of pastries. I recommend getting your items and heading down the road to the Yachats State Recreation Area to eat them with a magnificent view. I tried the chocolate croissant and had no idea croissants could be so flaky, buttery, soft, with just the right amount of crispness too. I would definitely return to try other items, especially the Celestial Snail, that looks ALMOST too pretty to eat! read more

There's a line people, out the door when they open. Eveything looked wonderful and I enjoyed the strata, cinniamon roll and almond croissant. We took home a carrot cake cupcake and have yet to dig in but it looks great. I probably won't be back too soon as I cannot afford too much bakery in my diet. I had an Americano and it was just okay, not the best for sure. But it's tough to make a good one generally. read more

Bread and Roses Bakery is worth a visit, fresh, warm, fluffy perfectly and lovingly baked wide variety and wonderful not to be missed espresso drinks. Every time we come to Yachats we go here. They upgraded quite a bit! I absolutely love their strata and chocolate croissants! Their coffee drinks are really great too! It takes awhile to actually get the coffee, but worth the wait to me. On the summer they have pizza which is also really good. I love supporting small businesses like this one. 10 stars!! So glad on our last day, we got to stop by and grab goodies on our way out. These are not some average bakery items they are lil' handheld culinary perfection. For this dinky tourist town, it's another culinary gem that makes our stay memorable! They open at 8am for a few hours four days a week from Thursday to Sunday. Love the charming ambience, it's so inviting I wish there are tables and chairs inside for us to just hang out and enjoy our goods and relish in their goodies on beautiful display. The chief baker in the open kitchen appears to be busy making more stuff with his dough. There's something really cool about the intimate feel of this shop and being able to observe while you wait for your turn. The plethora of choices was literally dizzying. What to get, will it stay good? They run about $4.50 to $5 a pastry. These are top notch pastries they are so worth the $$ so needless to say, do not hold back. When in doubt, just get it! Got their rustic sourdough three loaves, lemon sugar cookies in a bag, almond croissant, chocolate croissant, and hot tea. Also got a t-shirt for hubby. Didn't expect at a bakery you can find goodies to gift. My sister, mom and two and four year old nieces enjoyed the rustic sourdough and lemon sugar cookies. I didn't intend to but the bread and cookies were the perfect comforting gift given we lost our beloved white English bulldog (on my Yelp pic) of 12 years a few days ago and were feeling blue. Yes how good baked goods can be like chicken soup for the soul!! Glad they were busy so I had to be in line for a bit but that's ok. For times of inflation, you want places to be busy so they will stick around! When it was my turn, the lady was super helpful. Asked if they can make a London fog with oat milk and she was so happy to do it and kind to offer vanilla to sweeten. It was the PERFECT lady grey! Tried to duplicate at Starbucks. Not even close. The one from B and R was thicker, smoother, hotter, and more flavorful. The definite highlight was the rustic sourdough made from organic flour. It makes for the most divine buttered toast. It is hearty and the best sourdough experience we have ever had. Ever! This is a heavy duty bread. We almost finished the whole loaf in one sitting it's that good!! I block out calories and carb counting at this point. On vacation mode still. The pastries were super delish even when we ate it the next morning. The almond croissant had lots of almond paste inside. Everything was packaged with care. Hubby enjoyed his chocolate croissant. Saved us from having to resort to convenient store junk food! I found it difficult to choose between all the delectable goodies. I finally settled on the goat cheese prosciutto croissant and the celestial snail. Both were excellent and well worth the money. The staff was friendly and professional and patiently waited while we took forever to choose. We'll be back tomorrow. For all the people complaining about it being closed, that's Yachats. Most businesses are closed here midweek. Also, this *is* a bakery, and most bakeries aren't open past 2 or 3 pm. And for the person who left a 1-star review based on an experience from three or more years ago, maybe you shouldn't review a place you haven't been to in a few years. read more

They made cupcakes and cookies for my daughter's wedding on 8/31/24 and they were amazing! All the guests commented on how good they were! This is a great little place to stop while in Yachats. It's a cozy little atmosphere with a lot of baked goodies. I noticed afterwards that they have sandwiches as well, so I will definitely have to make another trip over here. I had a delicious blueberry and lemon muffin with freshly made hot chocolate. The chocolate was delicious and it comes in two different sizes. They don't put any whipped topping on it and for that I'm grateful. Cozy atmosphere inside and when the weather allows there is outside seating. It appears to be a local's hangout. All in all a good solid stop when at the beach. I needed a late morning pick me up and a sugary snack sounded perfect. Stopped in around 10:30 and the place was full of people enjoying their late morning treats. Ordered a few pastries to go with plans of munching on it as we strolled along the ocean. Faux Eclair - perfect amount of filling and the topping is not as sweet as I initially thought. The pastry was crisp and soft at the same time and so worth the $5 I spent. Snail with fruit and filling - my kid scraped out the filling (bad kid) but enjoyed the fruit and pastry on its own. Cinnamon Rose - light and fluffy with some kind of crunch. My son enjoyed it and said he was "taking small bites so it never has to come to an end". We visited Bread and Roses twice during a three day stay at Yachats. So glad we did! We tried four different pastries including a Celestial Snail...all were wonderfully fresh and delicious, and rival those of our favorite bakery in Seattle. My latte was carefully crafted and really delicious, too, and I say this as someone who is very picky about her lattes! What a sweet find in such a small town, we will visit them often whenever we're nearby. The bakery is friendly and cozy but without seating, so we took everything back to the car and sat at the best seat on the coast just a block away, with the ocean roaring just out our car window. We love stopping here when we go through Yachats! Their bread is sooooo delicious and some days she bakes twice if memory serves! We got a baguette and the "hippie bread" and we almost ate both in one night with friends. Also their snickerdoodle cookies (well really all their baked goods) are amazing but those are my favorite..thin and crispy yet a little chewy in the middle and just the perfect amount of cinnamon on top!
