I ordered the 3-meat platter with brisket, chicken and ribs. All the meat was very tender and flavorful. The ribs had a nice dry rub seasoning. The bark on the brisket was a bit salty, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Would definitely try again.

A loaded baked potato. I had mine with chicken. It's delicious

The chicken loaded baked potato is absolutely delicious! It comes with BBQ sauce, which adds great flavor. This is my third time ordering it, and it never disappoints. The portion size is huge--you'll definitely have leftovers. Highly recommend!

Being that I'm from Texas, I know good bbq and unfortunately, this is not it. For $21 the portion is decent but it felt like I was eating cut up hotdogs and not actual bbq sausage. The potato's in the potato salad were so hard I couldn't even finish it and I asked if the coleslaw was sweet, he said yes and it actually tastes like nothing. I was hopeful but this was definitely a no and waste of money. Definitely going to stick to getting in bbq in Texas.

Legit all fat- only had a few grams of actual meat.

I ordered a mix three plate. All brisket with a side of mac and cheese a coleslaw. The brisket- +80% of it was fat. Hardly no meat at all... The flavor was okay but like... remove some of the fat? add more actual meat to a plate? I did not even have one slice of meat that was more than 50% meat. I've actually never been served brisket with that much fat. I'm still mind blown. They gave a bread roll but the bottom part of it tasted super chemically.. The mac was fine- not spectacular. I received more mac than meat so at least i got something to eat. The coleslaw was HORRID. Yeah, this is NOT "southern" food. Go to a better place. It is not worth it.

The chili cheese fries were awesome

The food was amazing, The decorations are stunning, Staff was nice, this is one of the best barbecue I ever had will suggest eating here

Went today because half of my family wanted chipotle and the other half wanted to try the new bbq. I got a pulled pork sandwich and it had no bbq sauce. They didn't offer me any or put any in the bag. Weird and pretty lame. The pintos beans were ok, but wouldn't order it again. The okra was good. After my dad eats his food I'll post his opinion.

Ehhh. My husband wanted bbq. I warned him that unfortunately this was probably not going to "hit the spot". I believe it's the old Dick's bbq. So the inside is attractive and clean. There's plenty of seating and lots of eye catching memorabilia ie signs, license plates, pictures. The staff was assisting a couple in "sampling" all the meats before they placed an order. I was waiting for a pre ordered pickup. After a short wait the gentleman asked if I was a pick up , I answered yes and then he began to prep. He called me to the register to pay. $33 and some change. I thought, well you didn't ask my name when I came in and told you pick up maybe he made the wrong order. So I asked and he confirmed the name , and at the same time I'm thinking, of course it's $33 and MY order everything is so expensive! Got home and gave it to hubby. The photos are of the sides are after we ate. They were so basic and familiar like Dick's. The brisket was fatty and if that's your thing then you would love it. It was flavorful, Salty for sure, but fatty. The ribs were dry smoked so not bad just basic. Nothing over the top. Nothing special. Definitely not worth the price. I can get over paying money on food fairly quickly when it's so good it has me distracted. But when it's bad , mediocre, nothing out of the ordinary and basic I get disappointed. I wish the new owners luck as I know it takes a lot of courage! Don't be afraid to do something out of the ordinary !!!

Service was decent but oh my Food looks nothing like they advertised, tastes even worst , goes down for bbq I'll ever had

The brisket is melt in your mouth tender (tendernism as the kids say!). It also has a beautifully pink smoke ring, which is a great indicator that it was cooked perfectly. We opted for the sweet BBQ sauce on the side, which went perfectly with bread and butter pickles. They were running a whole hog special for July 4th that was equally moist and dressed with a zingy vinegar that kept it from being too heavy. The tri-tip was also phenomenal - it still had a good bite and was a rosy blush. No grey, dried out BBQ here! The side options also feel more chef driven than any old BBQ joint with options like pork belly potato salad and 816 rub curly fries with bacon aioli. The restaurant runs like a well oiled machine, you order up front and pick up your feast after you pay or wait for table service. We enjoyed sitting in the outdoor patio as well, so it's a great place where furry friends are welcome. Chef Darryl Bell is serving up the best barbecue I've had probably ever - it's worth the trip from the Bay Area if you are hankering for solid Kansas style BBQ.

I ordered Ribs, brisket, links and chicken along with several sides. I took my wife and 3 kids to help devour this meal. Although the staff is friendly, the service provided was truely mediocre. During the ordering line, our family of 5 got completely ignored and I had to interrupt them to make sure they noticed we were in line. Our meats was served tepid, barely warm, even though they made us wait for the food like it was coming out the smoker. Our drinks weren't served with our order or called out that they were ready. The ribs were tough, probably due to the temperature and the rest of the meats were needing salt/seasoning. However, the best thing we got was the Rancho Gordo Beans and Greens which was absolutely delish. Even the kids denied the mac and cheese since it wasn't warm or hot. This might have been an off day for staff, but it wasn't a busy day and the owner was there greeting and serving food. I'm willing to try again but there are much better options, especially in neighboring cities.

I wanted to do the original since if it was saucy it might lose the crunch along the way over. The biimbap was pretty good. I liked the sesame of the veggies and mix of ingredients. I'd want more of the mushrooms and greens though for the price of things. The tofu also were lightly fried with a thin starch on the outside which didn't travel well honestly. The chicken held up well though, still being crunchy. The seasoning was nice with bits of herbs shredded over it. In light of this, getting a sauce or flavor to dip things in would've been great though I don't remember if it was an option when I was originally ordering. The banchan was in a packed and worked well enough for the meal. Flavors still worked out well for the food, I'd be interested to see what the rest of the menu tastes like.

My wife and I used to be regulars at this location when we lived in Fairfield, but we had not been back in over 10 years. It was nice to see that despite all the challenges restaurants have faced over the years, this place is still thriving and as popular as ever. We were part of a group of 10, and everyone felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The service was friendly, attentive, and fast. We were even greeted by the owner or manager, which added a nice personal touch. The food was excellent. I ordered the BBQ chicken breast and ribs combo with two sides, and at around $23, I thought it was a great value. Living in San Jose, I'm used to BBQ meals costing significantly more. Of course, the fresh rolls with the cinnamon butter were just as delicious as I remembered. No one in our group had any complaints. The food, atmosphere, reasonable prices, and outstanding service made for a memorable family celebration. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in Fairfield.

We've been to his smash burger spot in Richmond, and my parents tried his pop up back in the day over by the Crane way Pavilion (IYKYK). With country music playing, a clean and bright interior, and the sweet smells of juicy meat and sides waiting, we knew we entered the right place. We tried it all! Nachos for the table to start with deliciously diced brisket, beans, chives, cheese, BBQ sauce, and more, a loaded potato with pulled pork, meat plates including the ribs, sliced brisket, chicken, and a pulled pork sandwich. Everything was amazing and done right. You could tell there was love and care in each bite, which I feel for East Bay BBQ, is important. The portions were stellar, the quality was excellent, and we enjoyed sides of corn, mac and cheese, and cole slaw. There really isn't much else to it! We sat at a long table and there were rolls of paper towels attached to it which I wish we could get our "after" pic besides just the before pics because we def got saucy! I like the innovation of the loaded nachos and potato with proteins if you don't want a sandwich or a plate..great shareables, but also great portions for your own meal (or second meal too). They also do their smash burgers here, and had key lime mini pies for dessert. No beer/wine, but soft drinks. Plenty of parking adjacent and fair pricing for BBQ.
