The battery is one of our favorite restaurants - living close by we come here all the time but we were not impressed this time. We were doing a happy hour that turned into apps & dinner. The food and drinks are always delicious but the service was brutal. It took us 20 minutes to get water, our drinks took 15-20 mins each. When they cleaned up our apps, they took our plates and silverware so when our next round of food came we had no silverware or plates. We asked our waiter for some and he didn't bring them so we had to ask other waiters. A drink was spilled on one of the guests at the table. Overall service was underwhelming and disappointing. We did talk to the manager Steve and he was very accommodating and made sure we didn't leave unhappy and he was wonderful. We will definitely be back because we love this spot so much but was not happy with the service this time around

This is one of my boyfriends & i's favorite date night spot in Channelside. We came here in December on a Saturday before a lightning game and couldn't wait to come back this past Friday after the last regular lightning game of the season. We got here around 10PM and they were pretty empty. The inside has such nice ambiance, perfect for dinners. We started off with a cocktail which was delicious. The "find the balance" cocktail is the whole reason we came back! Then we shared the lobster mac & cheese (full of lobster pieces) and I had the pesto pasta (perfect size) and he had the porkchops (so tasty)! The service was great, and we can't wait to come back and try brunch or lunch!

Found this restaurant in the coolest little area! They had little food trucks and a bar area and was such a nice place to hang out. We walked the river and then decided to have brunch and this place was perfect and greatly priced. Everything we ordered so so good! No complaints at all! The restaurant was beautiful and the waiter was so nice! If you come here definitely need to have the expresso martini which is called "Fully Charged" and avocado toast. The best expresso martini and avocado toast I have ever had! The ahi tuna tartare and candied bacon was also so yummy and fresh. The vibes inside were also so nice as they had a guy playing modern songs on the saxophone and it was perfect!

Relaxing, chic restaurant located in Sparkman Wharf. Great food, fun atmosphere and the absolute friendliest staff. Can eat in or carry out. Great portion sizes!!!

this place was DELICIOUS. Very beautiful and fancy inside. We got the pork chops, crab encrusted salmon, ribeye steak and sweet potato fries. We had a bottle of riesling. The service is amazing, multiple people checked on us and the food tasted amazing. We were all sampling each others plates- it tasted so good! We decided we would go back and reorder the pork chop and try out the mac and cheese, calamari and pierogies!

I stopped in here for a cocktail after the Water Street night market and was pleasantly surprised. A fancier option than the usual spots of sparkman wharf. The bar seating is comfortable and great for people watching. The bar staff was friendly and attentive, and it was fun to watch them make drinks! I only had the espresso martini, but it was fantastic, and I will be back for another one very soon!

Service is wonderful and the ambiance is beautiful. This place is a bit too fancy for my liking, especially being at the wharf. Burger with sweet potato fries is over $20... but at least it's comfortable seating.

The drink was delicious. Lobster bisque was okay.

We picked the best restaurant at Sparkman's Wharf, but the food didn't meet our expectations. Th filet mignon first was overcooked. The second was so salty you couldn't enjoy the meat. The crab cakes were then and giving more crust than lump filling. The lobster bisque was mediocre. Unfortunately we were not allowed impressed. Hopefully you'll have a better experience. Good luck.

Last minute decision to stop at The Battery. Had ordered a white wine oaky Chardonnay to go which did not disappoint. Went back and had appetizers, cocktails and charcuterie board. They have a pretty decent happy hour 4-6. We had the seafood stuffed jalapeños and could actually taste the seafood. The parmesan truffles fries were good however could use a bit more truffle oil. The charcuterie board was nice we had the chef selection of 2 cheeses and a meat. Their cocktails are pretty amazing a moderately priced. We sat at the bar and had great service. The ambience is a casual chic. The one down side was the hostess dragging of the chairs which was extremely loud instead of picking them up when joining tables.

Let me tell you about this hidden gem of restaurant. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted i to excellence. The atmosphere is causal cozy. We had the mimosas which was excellent because they allowed us to purchase a bottle and we had a variety of drinks and fresh fruit to make about 4 different kinds...pineapple, cranberry, orange and fresh fruit. Excellent!! We had sweet potato fries sprinkle with cinnamon tasted like a dessert and my daughter tried the lobster bisque...soo goddess I had to try and it ws hands down the best lobster bisque I've ever had. There was real pieces of lobster fresh lobster...amazing. between 7 of us we had the Cuban which my husband gave it an 8 and I had the smash burger with truffle fries...delicious. ww also tried the French toast and egg fritter which everything was delicious. Especially the brisket burger to die for! Its very rare to run into a reservation that has exceptional service and great food. Definitely a hidden gem and I will definitely be back!!

Have been here a few times. It's a great spot to visit if you're in the Channelside area. Usually we'll come here for a quick drink before heading over to a concert at the Amelie Arena. The service is always good and they make great cocktails. It's very well decorated but a little tight on the weekends when it's busier. The food was delicious but was a bit on the smaller portion size in my opinion. Certainly worth checking out.

Great evening at The Battery. John was a fantastic server and the meal and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend the calamari appetizer, the old fashioned, and the salmon. All were great! Only downside was Florida summer, and they open the large doors for the live music which then introduced several flies we had to swat throughout the meal.

Charcuterie was amazing!
Britt K.

We came to the battery tonight with the intention of having great food and hanging out with friends. We were blown away by the drinks, the service and food. Brie was absolutely amazing and attentive. Would recommend to locals (like us) or tourists. Come here, you won't regret it!

Usually when you go to a restaurant with a HUGE menu, you kind of expect everything to be good but nothing to be really great. That's what makes Yard House different. Every meal I've had here has been fresh, flavorful, and genuinely delicious. We had the Korean Beef Cheesesteak, and that thing was SO flavorful and absolutely packed with meat. My husband loves cheesesteaks and said it's one of the best non-Philly cheesesteaks he's had! The fries were great too. I had the Garlic Beef Noodles, and OMG. So good! They're not super spicy at first, but the spice definitely creeps up on you after a few bites. Be prepared for the runny nose! The beef was incredibly flavorful, and everything together with the noodles and veggies was just chef's kiss. My son had the pizza and loved it. He said the dough was crispy on the outside but still soft, with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. And yes, I stole a bite--it was good! We also tried the Hibiscus Mule mocktails. They were refreshing and tasted good, although they were a little heavy-handed with the ginger beer for us. Still enjoyable, just very gingery. Overall, this place continues to be a win for us. Great service, great food, tons of options, and we've yet to have a bad meal here. I definitely recommend stopping by if you're in Tampa. Now I just need Yard House to bring a location to Jax, because I would probably be there every weekend.

Delicious food with a lively atmosphere and welcoming staff - what more could you ask for?…read more I visited Oak and Ola for a birthday dinner and had an amazing time. Rather than trying to search for parking, we just paid $20 for the lot right nearby and it worked out great for us. We had a large group and our waiter, Zachary, was amazing. He had plenty of recommendations, anecdotes, stories, and jokes to keep everyone happy and full. He was definitely a highlight for all of us. We had a variety of drinks, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed them. I had the Sacred Empress and was so impressed with the balance of flavors - mostly sweet with a slight punch from the serrano cilantro simple syrup. It sounds funky but trust me on this! We also split a bottle of the Lagar De Costa Albariño, at the recommendation of our waiter, and we all loved it. For food, we started with the Lobster Ravioli, Truffle Frites, Crispy Pork Belly Bites, Crunch Love Caesar Salad, and Olives. All were devoured and I think the crowd favorites were the Lobster Ravioli (though expensive, $26 for 3) and the Pork Belly Bites. For mains, most people tended to get either the Steak Frites or the Gulf Fish Amandine (which was snapper). My steak and another at the table were both way overcooked on the first go around but they very quickly remade them (and the fries) and got them back to us in 5 minutes, perfectly cooked. It was a delicious and filling dish. The Gulf Fish Amandine was also really tasty, but it felt like it was missing something like a starch. It's a very simple and classic dish. The Pork Chop was also well loved amongst the table and many people wished they got it after trying a bite! For dessert, you absolutely have to get the Toffee Cake - it was everyone's favorite dessert. Super soft, warm, and comforting, plus that vanilla ice cream just took it to another level. We also enjoyed the Chocolate Mousse, and the free birthday dessert they kindly brought out for us. Overall, the restaurant is fun and lively, with an eclectic feel in the mismatched dining sets and decor. I really loved how it felt. It's definitely a nicer spot for a date or celebration, but worth it!

Now to the review: I loved that you could see part of the kitchen from the dining area. It's very open with a central bar and didn't feel crowded or congested even though it was busy. I walked in on a Saturday night with plenty of seating at the bar. I wish I could recall the bartenders name who served me because he was awesome. Arancini 9/10 - these were actually my favorite part of dinner. Crispy, great flavor and would get these again Crispy Pork Belly - 6/10 the pork itself didn't seem seasoned and slightly tough. The sauce was spicy which I wasn't expecting. Margarita Pizza 7/10 - great taste but the crust was super floppy. I prefer a much crispier crust Burger 7.5/10 - it was good but I'm not sure I would get again. Charred Brussel Sprouts 7/10 - charred nicely but seemed basically plain. They definitely needed the sauce in the bottom Basque Cheesecake 8/10 - first time trying basque cheesecake and maybe the burnt flavor isn't for me so giving it a 8 because otherwise I thought it was good. Sticky toffee cake 8.5/10 - great taste but wanted the texture to be better. It sort of felt like a dry sponge and would have preferred a more dense cake personally I heard a lot of hype about this place so I had high expectations going. I'll admit, I was a little let down with my experience. There was a ton of things I wanted to try but of the things I selected, I'm not sure I'd go back to chance trying the others. Simply my preference and each their own. It is a great vibe with great staff and I did like the tastes of a few things. It's good, not great. Being about to take a scenic walk after dinner is nice too. Fair warning, parking was insane. I paid $20 to park in a grass lot due to a car show / event going on down there. I recommend this place at least once. I had higher hopes and I'll chalk it up to an off night which is why it's a 4 and not a 5 in my book.

We were seated at a super small table so it made for an uncomfortable situation with so little real estate available. Also the place looks like it's converted from a garage or something with metal walls and roll up doors that made the sound bounce around. The service was nice. We were well taken care of but they seemed to be spread thin because getting refills and getting our check took a bit longer than expected. One ssue was that the menu was very different from what was online via Google. I should have gone to their website I guess, but several items were not available and the filet I was so excited for had a very different set of items. No Brie au gratin potatoes or braised rainbow chard, citrus gremolata and a fig chutney. Now, let me say that my filet was delicious. I loved the sauce and the asparagus was good but for me, the potatoes were super underwhelming. A nice sauce or something would have made them better. They just tasted bland, were really dry and lacked any flavor. My wife expected the lamb or pork chops, they were both not on the menu. She got fish and chips which she really enjoyed, so it was a win. The Asian wings were our appetizer and were delightful too. Now the only real negative for us was the noise. We got there at 5:30 and it was fine. But as more people came in, the sound bounced around so bad that it became almost unbearable for me. I wanted to go so bad because people laughing and talking made my head hurt. Would I go back? Probably not. I didn't enjoy how loud it was. The food was very good though, so perhaps takeout would be more my speed. We had a nice meal and my leftovers were delicious later that evening.

Both preparations were excellent, and the tableside presentation was a nice touch. It's refreshing to see a restaurant put this much effort into both the food and the dining experience. The only minor criticism was the lasagna, which was slightly oversalted. A little more restraint with the seasoning would have made it a much better dish. As someone who appreciates good Italian cooking, I particularly enjoyed the attention to presentation and the opportunity to experience two different preparations of a classic dish.
