Had brunch here with some girlfriends on a Saturday - brunch time in Hyde park, on the weekend, does not bode well for parking - just a heads up for those who may be unfamiliar with the Hyde park area. There are a few parking garages, but even those are a pain because people park like idiots. The parking situation isn't On Swann's fault, but it's an annoying factor. We had reservations well in advance, so we didn't have to worry about a wait. It was reasonably busy for a Saturday at brunch time. The decor and overall ambiance was classy but comfortable, which is great imo. Our server was nice and checked on us a good amount of times. The wait time between ordering our food and it coming to the table felt a bit lengthier than I would typically expect, but the food was delicious so it's hard to even complain about that. I got the short rib hash and a croissant and both items were wonderful. The croissant was flaky and buttery, it comes with a honey dip and butter on the side, would def get again. The short rib hash was also a menu item I would order again - the eggs were cooked perfectly, and I'd say I'm a little picky with how runny my eggs are. These were runny, but not TOO runny. The potatoes had a nice crisp to the outside but nice and soft on the inside, the short rib was so tender, so juicy, it was just a very well rounded, great tasting hash. This was my first time visiting On Swann for brunch, I'll be back for sure, but maybe on a weekday instead of the weekend since it seems to get pretty crowded in the Hyde Park Village area! read more

Connor was my waiter and he was friendly and attentive. Check on my table frequently and knew the menu well as he recommended a few options. I looked over at my dad's plate which was the short rib hash, and it did not look that great. It was very minimal looking. I tried the famous kale salad and it was bland. Came here for my birthday dinner and had a great time! It's one of those restaurants you would think is overpriced and underwhelming but I didn't feel that way at all. The ambiance is perfect, especially for date nights. Modern and classy feeling, perfect for the South Tampa vibe. Another stellar nite of eats at On Swann. We came here to celebrate my dear friends birthday. Our server Priscilla helped guide us through the menu with her recommendations. She was awesome, loved her energy. Side note: their menu changes according to the seasons. We had the opportunity to try the Fall menu. Everything felt very intentional from the custom "Happy Birthday" menus to the amazing customer service. We love coming to On Swann!! We enjoyed a little Saturday night date night at this quaint spot in Hyde Park. We booked a table for 5pm and by the time we left at 7, there wasn't a seat left in the house (including outside seating). We started with a bottle of Pinot from Ken Wright Willamette Valley (US's hidden gem for vineyards). So good. We enjoyed our fav apps--Pimento Cheese and the kale salad. Restaurant itself is nicely spaced, also have outdoor seating with fire heaters. Bathroom was clean. The food was fantastic. Of course I did not get pictures of everything but I did get pics of my short rib pasta which was very tasty. We also got a dessert board for our bosses birthday and the cookies were warm and yummy. It's in a Hyde park strip of very nice stores so after eating you can always have a good time. Because I came on Easter parking was very hard but usually it should be easy to find a spot! The bartender shared thoughts on the menu, so I knew what I was getting before I sat at my table. Once at the table, our server was quick to bring water. I get it without the bacon to make it vegetarian, but this tower of kale and pecans and Parmesan along with some other yummy surprises satisfies every time. Located in the lovely Hyde Park Village in the Southside of Tampa, On Swann is a class restaurant that is both hip and full of delicious cooking, bringing us to a place of nirvana and Zen. For starters, they served us a complimentary deconstructed shakahuka, made gluten-free in honor of my wife's birthday, which was delectable. For starters, we split the Beef Carpaccio arugula that was magical with the aji amarillo aioli, parmesan, and truffle oil. The Hot Chicken crisp tenders were absolutely stellar with the spicy buttermilk batter and paprika honey butter and romesco aioli. Personally, I could have just ordered the Beef Carpaccio and the Hot Chicken crispy tenders. That completely satisfied me to the point where I had to take the Pork chop back home after attempting to make a dent in it, as I was already full. But make no mistake, the double chop Pork Chop was blissful between pairing with the peach mostrada and Anson Mills cheddar grits. It was made with magic and mystical wonderment. The interior of On Swann is stunning, lots of windows, upscale, but not too fancy, comfortable seating, and nice lighting. Our server, Darlington, was so sweet and offered some cocktail suggestions. I settled on the Life Gives You Lemons, a gin and limoncello cocktail, and it was refreshing (I ended up getting a second one!). My friend and I shared the kale salad, beef carpaccio, and the green curry mussels. The presentation of the kale salad is so cool, like a mountain of kale and parmesan, with all the goodies inside. The beef was presented perfectly, and the mussels were the star for me! I couldn't get enough of the green coconut sauce, almost needed to more garlic toast to sop it up! Hearing all of the great things and never having time to visit, my boyfriend surprised me for our anniversary with dinner reservations at On Swann and this place surprised our already high expectations! Starting with custom Happy Anniversary menus, a sweet card from the staff and a glass of champagne to start our meal, the bar continued to get raise higher and higher. Our server Thomas was so helpful as we made our food decisions (the menu has so many good options it was tough to choose!!). We opted for the Saffron Arancini for our nibble option. These were delicious and although fried rice balls, very light and lots of flavor. The Burrata was the perfect starter to follow - light, also very flavorful and refreshing before getting our main entrees. I chose the Steak Frites which came out cooked perfectly and the fries were delicious. My boyfriend got the Short Rib Pasta and added burrata for some extra cheese and we were bigggggg fans! As we finished our bottle of an Argentinian Malbec, we made room for dessert and this is an absolute MUST. I can't recall the name, but our server recommended the cake with vanilla ice cream (pictured) and it was just PERFECT! Not too heavy after our meal and unlike any dessert I've had. I had been looking forward to trying several items I'd seen featured in various Yelp reviews, but when we arrived, I noticed that the lunch selection was limited.
