Yesterday was my first time at The Baked Bear! My friends and I were walking around our neighborhood and noticed the new shop, I have heard about this place before but I never went out of my way to try it. Wow, I have been missing out! I ordered chocolate chip cookies with cookie dough ice cream and sprinkles. I later found out my friends ordered their cookies warmed up, no one told me I can order it that way! It's almost embarrassing how often we Door Dash Baked Bear. This is definitely our go-to dessert spot. I don't think we've had anything we haven't liked. We have our favorites, but everything we have tried has been good, the ice cream selection is always awesome, the cookies are always fresh, chewy and so freaking good, if you guys wonder who the lady is that calls around the first of every month asking what the new cookie of the month is, it's me! You can't go wrong with an ice cream cookie sandwich, they are SO good! Occasionally we get a box of assorted cookies too, just because! The Peanut Butter Nutella & Gooey Butter Cake Cookie are our favorites and the Butter Brittle Cake ice cream is to die for! If you're passing by, you have to stop in and try something. I don't usually comment on this type of place, but we just popped in here on a whim and it was just so nice. I had a scoop of the the Butter Brittle Cake ice cream. It is described as having "vanilla bean layered with butter brittle, almonds, vanilla cake, and a sea salt ripple". It was absolutely amazing. Kind of put me in a food coma after but it was just so creamy and delicious. Really blew me away. They also have freshly baked cookies. I think this is one of those places where you can choose a fresh baked cookie type, and then the ice cream you want, and then makes fancy ice cream sandwich. I just wanted the cookies and ice cream separately. Both were wonderful though. The thing I really liked about this place was the service. First off, even on a weekday evening, the place is just overflowing with young folks enjoying their sweet treats. Despite the crowd, the service remained totally friendly and personable. They offered samples without my asking. I actually didn't want any, as I was willing to just take a few risks on choosing flavors, but it was nice they asked and were so inviting and patient. The cashier was also really patient and kind, while I tried to figure out a stupid CashApp thing. There are so many delicious ice cream parlors, gelaterias, and bakeries. Of course you have options. Many of them are delicious. I would come back to this over others for the quality of food, sure. But the thing that really set them apart for me was the exceptional upbeat, friendly service. read more

Service is bad; hours are posted for 3pm on Friday I was there at 3:05 and then waited 10 minutes to see if they were running behind. They never came to let us know if they were opening later or anything even though we were waiting after their posted opening time and I had to leave with a crying toddler who wanted ice cream so bad. They were so easy to work with, super responsive and accommodating! They even last minute brought a few gluten free options for me when I found out I had to change my diet a few weeks before. I knew the ice cream sandwiches would be tasty, but I didn't realize how big of a WOW factor they would play at our wedding. Our guests absolutely freaked out and were blown away by it! We ordered from this place twice on Doordash and both times we were missing the assorted cookies box. Both times it was corrected right away. The second time the manager went way above and beyond.
