My bf and I stopped by here because we were staying in the area at a nearby hotel. First of all, it was super hard to find from the GPS. We got taken to like the back of the shop and there wasn't like a clear pathway so we just kept passing it and passing it until we finally said "this has to be it" and opened a door hoping for the best. Anyway, we get there and order at the counter and the guy at the counter was just so rude and couldn't care less about us. After we order we sat down to wait for our food and it took a while. It wasn't crazy busy maybe like 4 other people in there but it took a bit for our food to come out and once it did.... It was so. Greasy. Like so so greasy. I'm a sucker sometimes for a nasty greasy meal but that's usually 2 am after a night of partying... not at like 10am. I took a couple bites of the bagel sandwich and opted to just pick the bacon out and eat only that. Because a bacon is justifiable to be greasy, a bagel... no that's gross. My bf also hated his sandwich but he was able to stomach it and ate more than I did. If you're looking for a place in the area to get some breakfast.... I'd advise to look elsewhere. read more

I could see that the store was short staffed (2 people working) and they were both trying to multitask and get both restaurant orders and online orders out as soon as they could. It would had been a better experience if we were told that there was a long wait for placing orders and getting food, that way we could make the decision to wait or leave. I had already invested time waiting to place an order, so I decided to wait. The girl that took my order apologized for the wait, but it was too much for them to handle. Bagel World Small bagel shop in Downtown Orlando but had a pretty good selection of bagels and lots of bagel sandwiches to choose from. I ordered the sunrise (American cheese, egg, and choice of bacon, sausage, or ham) and my husband ordered the sailor (provolone cheese, double egg, and tomato). Then you get to choose your bagel and whether you want it toasted or not. I got mine on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and my husband chose the classic everything, both toasted. The bagel had a good chew to it. The flavor of my jalapeño cheddar was amazing! You got that spicy kick every few bites which I loved. Such a unique flavor choice. And since it was toasted, the crispy cheddar cheese on top added another dimension. I chose sausage, which was so juicy and perfectly completed my sandwich. One important critique: the food needed to be hotter. The cheese was still just a slice of cheese instead of that meaty goodness we expected. This place is kind of a disorganized mess. Our food took a really long time. It turns out our hot food was ready but the dude putting our plain bagels in a bag just never got around to doing it. I've been trying to make my way here for a while. I have my go-to breakfast spots in the neighborhood but I was intrigued by this place because of their focus on "bagels." As soon as I walked in I did appreciate the simplicity of the place, plenty of seating, natural lightning, and the low, soft rock playing in the background. Kitchen is an open format, and they offer all types of bagels. I had the Asiago, everything bagel with plain cream cheese! So good! The price is right here, $3.50 for a great, quick breakfast. I was a little disappointed in the absence of some typical bagel flavors such as poppy seed, pumpernickel, onion, or whole wheat. However, I was more disappointed in the variety of cream cheeses (only 3). Regardless, I ordered a toasted sesame bagel with regular cream cheese. The bagel itself was more bready and lacked a crisp outer crust. The bagel did not have much flavor and tasted equivalent to one from a grocery store rather than a freshly baked bagel. I really did like the ambience inside and the servers were great and very friendly! Maybe I need to go for a wrap or sandwich next time instead of the namesake bagel. read more

As someone from the NY/NJ area, it's safe to say I'm a bagel snob. Ever since moving to Florida-Orlando specifically, I've been looking for a neighborhood bagel joint other than the big chains. Slim pickings aside from places like Brooklyn and Einstein. What I was really looking for was a true northeast bagel made traditional style. Boiled and then baked is how it's meant to be done! As for bagel world, I'd safely call them a B- rating. And this is mainly because the bagels do not have that boiled then baked texture at all. The outside of the bagel isn't too different texturally than the inside. Lacking an outer crust. HOWEVER... there are some nice qualities. For starters, the staff is so friendly. Above and beyond so, actually. Welcoming in a way that feels genuine rather than forced because their job requires it. Secondly, the flavors offered are interesting. The cinnamon crunch bagel is unheard of in my book. Never saw that as an option in any other shop so credit for creativity and some originality. Also really enjoyed the generous shmear of honey vanilla cream cheese. My uncle joined me and had a sunrise sandwich on the jalapeño cheddar. He was impressed with the visible pieces of jalapeño and subsequent spice. What the bagels lack in texture, they do make up for in flavor. As is always the case, a bagel must only be enjoyed with coffee. I enjoyed the cold brew coffee and appreciated that they had flavored syrups. Final notes.. good location with a nice amount of indoor seating. Very clean establishment. Limited parking, but fairly easy to find a spot on the side street. I won't come back out of my way again for a bagel here but I would stop in if I were in the immediate area. read more

Have had a bagel craving lately and came across this new spot conveniently located near me. Cool little spot with yummy bagels. They have their own creations of breakfast bagels so it was a tough choice to choose from but I decided on the J Papi breakfast bagel and was not disappointed. It had double egg, double turkey, pepper jack cheese on a toasted jalapeño cheddar bagel w/ a BW house cream cheese (old bay flavored). Sounds like a lot but the combination was delightful. Also the bagel was bigger than normal bagels and was nice a doughy which was a bonus for me. My wife ordered two bagels with cream cheese and was very pleased with the size and flavor of the bagels. I would not recommend if you're a bagel enthusiast. My husband and I waited 40 minutes for 2 toasted bagels with cream cheese. Customers who came in AFTER us, ordering more complicated bagels with egg and meat got served before we did. On top of that, I was pretty disappointed that they didn't have an everything bagel, or sesame, or strawberry cream cheese. I ended up getting a blueberry bagel with regular cream cheese and it tasted like I was eating white bread with schmear. My husband asked for double toasted and his bagel was barely toasted. We left so sad. I give 2 stars because the staff was friendly. This is a hard pass for me and I wouldn't readily recommend it to anyone else. My husband ordered the sunrise, and I got the Sailor. The bagel itself was stale. I took the contents of my sandwich out to eat them alone, but the eggs themselves aren't really seasoned (no salt, pepper, etc). I ended up canning the whole sandwich. My husband powered through his, but again, he wasn't impressed either. There was not an option for plain coffee. They only had flavored coffees brewed. I would not have ordered coffee if I knew that was the case. The coffee is also self-serve, which I normally understand, but we're in the middle of a pandemic. Not sure if having your customers serve their own coffee is a great idea. The coffee is also just random Cheney brothers stuff. Also not a great option in a town where there is an abundance of great locally owned coffee places on the same block. Also, there's only two options for creams cheese...strawberry and plain. They had more options for nut butters than cream cheese. Wasn't really impressed with this either. Over all, the egg and tomato on my sandwich was fresh, the bagel itself was stale and not very flavorful (it was an everything bagel). The customer service is great...the ladies working were super nice to us, and are the reason this place got two stars instead of one. read more
