I thought I was not going to like this, but the experience was quite refreshing. We were waiting for our movie to start and decided to stop in. Very nice and quiet from all of the other packed restaurants on the weekend. Everything tasted fresh and the tater tots were OK. Overall, I would come back and try different sandwiches. Not sure about other menu items. Customer service was attentive and helpful.

This was way better than I was expecting it to be! My friend & I wanted to grab a quick bite that would keep us full for the day at Universal ahead. I went with the pastrami-seasoned turkey sandwich. It was really unique and tasty. Also super filling! The employees were also super friendly and refilled our waters for us twice while we were there. If I had one of these sandwich shops around me, I'd definitely be a regular.

We were surprisingly blow away by the Bread Box! Little did we know when we stopped in before heading to Universal. We didn't want to pay for a mediocre food at the parks so we stopped at Bread Box and have been dreaming about the burrata sandwich since. We shared a grilled cheese sandwich and a burrata sandwich and our favorite was definitely the fresh burrata sandwich. We even tried to re-create it at home. It's so good. Definitely take a moment to stop here before heading into a park and paying for some crappy food spend your money wisely and pick the buratta sandwich.

We waited quite a long time in long and to get our food but the wait was worth it. We got the bruschetta and BB sandwich. It was really good and fresh. A downfall is is that we only get 5 tater tot's but they were fresh so that's a plus. The inside of the restaurant was cold and clean which is why we didn't complain too much since we were out in the theme parks all day . And had a lot of room for our full party to sit. We will definitely be back and hope the service is a little faster.

As cheesy as a dad joke. Looking for a quick and filling bite before the Universal drone show? Bread Box is a solid choice. It's a little tucked away, which can be a good thing if you're trying to escape the crowds. The interior has an interesting retro diner vibe, and the place is well-lit and clean. The staff were super friendly and greeted us with smiles. Now, let's talk about the sandwiches - they were amazing! We got the classic BLT and the Grilled Four Cheese, and they were both delicious. The BLT was everything you'd want in a BLT--crispy bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato, and perfectly toasted bread. The Grilled Four Cheese, wow, was it cheesy! The sourdough bread was light and crispy, and the cheese was perfectly melted and gooey. Seriously, huge portions and packed with flavor - we both left very satisfied. The only downsides were the wait time (we waited about 15 minutes, which felt long considering there were only a couple of other groups ordering) and the typical Universal prices (be prepared to pay a premium). They have a good selection of Coca-Cola products in the fountain, as well as bottled water, juice, and PowerAde. They even have beer available if you're looking for an adult beverage. If you're willing to shell out a few extra bucks for a great sandwich and don't mind a potential wait, Bread Box is worth checking out.

We had lunch at the Breadbox when we took a break from Universal Studios. The sandwich choices were great! We had the bbq brisket sandwich and the Sichuan Chicken sandwich and topped it off with a root beer float and a huge S'mores cookie. The service was great and very helpful. The ambiance had the feel of a 50s style diner and was refreshing. Highly recommend!

I have no choice but to give five stars because this was actually one of the best BLT's of my lifeee. Needed a quick bite before HHN so we stopped in here. Super low crowd levels so we ordered quickly and got our food in less than ten minutes. The BLT Is incredible. The bread is sourdough I believe and has such nice flavor. The bacon is delicious and perfectly cooked with just a little chew, a good amount of lettuce and tomatoes, and I don't know what they put in their mayo but it has so much personality! Great seasoning, and it was so juicy and altogether just an amazing sandwich. Also I love the chips! They have a fun little spicy seasoning on them and you get a good portion with your sandwich. I've already come a second time since my first time a few weeks ago. The BLT was just as good, so points for consistency!

A solid food option to keep you fueled for a day at the park. The food came out quick, was tasty, it's clean inside, and they bus the table for you. What more can you ask for.

BLT on gluten free bread with chips

Excellent BLT! On a recent trip to Universal Orlando, we decided to try a place we haven't gone to before within City Walk. Breadbox is located on the second floor of City Walk and has both indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the BLT on gluten free bread with Sichuan Ranch chips. The gluten free options were limited since most sandwiches are grilled on a shared cooktop. The bacon was abundant, the L and T were perfectly portioned and had just the right amount of mayo. The bread is nothing to write home about but held together well for being gf. The chips were crunchy, and the flavor was a nice compliment compared to being a plain potato chip. My husband had the turkey pastrami on regular bread and said it was also very good, that it just needed a little extra dijonnaise it was perfect. We honestly could have split a sandwich, the portions were big. The service was quick and friendly, plus knowledgeable about gluten. The restaurant was clean. We will return!

Breadbox serves freshly hand made sandwich. The menu rotated since last year when I visited. The service is always really nice. You can either mobile order with the universal apps and then scan the table you sit on or order at the cashier and receive a number that you place on your table. You can also take to go. The place ressemble a small diner from the 70s with old school music playing. The music isn't blasting which is nice, it's really just there in the background. Enough to hear and enjoy it without preventing conversation. As for the wood. I tried the bbq chopped cheese. It's a sandwich made from ground meat, lettuce, fried oignon, tomato and a special.sauce served with sichuan chips. It was good! I tried the s'mores cookie. That was a big cookie, about a inch thick. Perfectly cookie, little crunchy on the outside but very soft inside. It was very delicious. My girlfriend tried de sishuan chicken sandwich. She was afraid it might be spicy, it is not which is very good. She said there's a little tingle in the throat but nothing else. For a good fast meal, it's a good place

I usually don't start the reviews talking about the service but honestly the service here was absolutely outstanding, I loved it every person I came across here was super nice. I actually had to stay for a bit longer than I was expecting . I got a BLT with added chicken because honestly I wouldn't get it with just the bacon but it was more expensive like $7 more , the ambiance is nice , I would go there again , the bathrooms were also very clean .

These folks are super slow Once the food was prepared and delivered to our table (after my wife went to ask what was taking so long) it was pretty tasty. We I'll be back when visiting Universal at some point but not too soon.

So delicious.

The food was Amazing, the staff was very friendly & the place was really cute love the old school vibe. We had the bruchetta & the four cheese grilled sandwich. So delicious, crunchy & savory. Will definitely come here again. Is located across from the tattoo place on the second floor of universal walk.

Based on the menu, we chose Sal's Market Deli. Once we got back to the hotel, we headed to Sal's and ordered at the counter to-go. I chose Sal's Italian Classic. This sandwich was made with salami, capicola, aged provolone, tomato, lettuce, and red wine vinaigrette (I said no olives and pepperoncini). It also came with homemade chips. After taxes it was pricey at around $20, but it was a ton of food and easily shareable. The reviews don't hype this place up enough. This sandwich was amazing. The chips were great too! I'm still dreaming about the whole meal. The restaurant is super casual. You order at the counter and can eat there if you like. They had a handful of tables inside and outside. Service was superb too. The gentleman taking my order was kind and I waited less than 10 minutes for my food. If you're hungry and already paying theme park prices, come here for a great meal!

But Sal's completely surprised me in the best way. The menu is small but mighty, and I stuck with my go-to order both times: a pepperoni pizza with added black olives. And let me tell you... the pizza is DELICIOUS. It absolutely exceeded my expectations. In fact, it was so good that I ended up eating there twice during my five-day stay at the Portofino. We did try the mozzarella sticks as well, and those fell a little flat. They tasted more like a standard frozen appetizer and didn't really bring much flavor. But the pizza? Chef's kiss. Bravo, Sal's. Bravo.

The Vibe: We came on a Saturday and the parking lot was packed, which we took as a great sign--and it was. You walk through a fun outdoor patio before heading inside to order, and the space is incredibly unique--colorful, eclectic, slightly hipster, with dog photos and quirky decor everywhere. The line to order was pretty long, but we noticed a few open seats at the bar. We asked the bartender if we could order there, and she said yes--pro move. Skip the line, grab a bar seat. Drinks: We tried the house lager, which was solid and refreshing. What We Ordered: * Homemade Queso + Flavor Bomb 3 * "Famous" Pulled Pork Sandwich * "What the Fig?" Sandwich Standout Bite: The queso with Flavor Bomb 3 was incredible. Sweet, savory, and completely addictive. The pineapple in the flavor bomb added the perfect touch of sweetness and made the dish really stand out. Sandwiches: Both sandwiches were excellent. The pork was fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The classic pulled pork was great, but if you like bold flavors, the "What the Fig?" is the way to go--the fig jam added the perfect sweet-savory balance. Flavor-packed and messy in the best way. Sides: Sandwiches come with your choice of Miss Vickie's chips, house-made slaw, or both for $1 extra. The house-made slaw was a standout for me--fresh, crisp, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Overall: Great food, fun atmosphere, and a unique experience from start to finish. We're already planning our next visit--and next time we're bringing our pup since they're dog-friendly and fully embrace it. Pro tip: Head straight to the bar if there's a long line--and don't skip the queso with a flavor bomb.

We ordered the UFO sandwich, the veggie sandwich, and finished with a cannoli--and every single item delivered. The sandwiches were phenomenal. The bread is made to order and it shows: thin, chewy, and perfectly structured for a real sandwich (not soggy, not overbearing). Unique round discs that suited the food perfectly. The UFO sandwich was deeply satisfying - delicious meats, and I added green olive crema and swapped out provolone for stracciatella. The veggie sandwich wasn't an afterthought at all--fresh, flavorful, and genuinely filling. Every ingredient tasted delicious and fresh. The cannoli was spot-on: perfect flavor, just the right level of sweetness, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Not overly sugary, not heavy--just right. The location is also a big plus. It's in a newly built shopping center with really nice pond-side seating, which would be a great place to sit, relax, and actually enjoy the meal. On top of all that, the owners were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the prices are very fair for the quality you're getting. This is the kind of place you root for. If you love real sandwiches, fresh ingredients, and food made with pride, don't miss it. We'll absolutely be back.

Awesome food, open until 11!…read more We were looking for some late night Asian and didn't want to go to lounge Type places near our hotel. This place is a 5 minute drive from our hotel but isn't a pretentious place catering to just the tourists. The hand pulled noodles are cheery and the menu has a lot of surprising deliciousness The surprise of the night was the vinegar soup with dumplings. Just enough sour to remind me of Filipino sinigang and a really nice complement to the dumplings. The beef short rib chili slap noodles were good, but I think the chili only was good when it mixed with the liquid at the bottom of the bowl and you toss it all together. Dry it wasn't as good. The two braised beef bowls we had were huge, stock was deeper in flavor, beef and rib were very tender. The crispy pancake with braised beef was crispy but it needed an extra sauce or something for the beef. It was better when we dipped the sandwich in the vinegar soup. The lam skewers were more crispy than soft and had some coriander on it I think. My kids enjoyed but my wife didn't like the coriander. Service was fast and attentive. Food was really surprising on a lot of levels even I wasn't 5/5 on all Definitely a place to try out if you want to get away from typical food on i drive

Once we entered the door we could hear a slapping sound. I walked back to where the kitchen was an saw a gal stretching a huge, long, freshly made Noodle and beating it against the table. Yup, they actually slap the shit out of these noodles before putting them it boiling water. Now scoping the restaurant while waiting we noticed that the place was filled with Asian people. Now, fancy that, an Asian noodle place filled with Asians. Now, in the San Francisco Bay area that is nothing special, but in Florida; it really tells you something. It was a simple menu, and we ordered the appetizers of Cucumber Garlic Salad, and the Chinese Peanut Salad; both of which were out of this world. The Cucumber salad, like many of the dishes at Slap had a tangy Chili Sause, with the Peanut Salad, featured small chopped celery and carrots seasoned in vinaigrette. These were sensational although to be honest, the peanuts were hard to negotiate using chop sticks. We also ordered the Pork Cabbage Dumplings. These simply exploded in your mouth; the taste, the freshness, bolstered by the sweet sauce that accompanied the massive plate of 10 dumplings. But as good as these other dishes were the superstar dish of our meal was the Beef Short Rib Chili Slap Noodles. They brought over a pair of scissors with this dish to cut the noodles which were long and fat. The Braised short rib fell off the bone and was so flavorful. We probably over ordered as we brought back some food which I'm now enjoying as I type this. I must say that this place loved it's chili oil and the inside of our mouths were still singing and dancing with us as we trucked up back to our home planet. We will be back....

In all honesty, you would probably miss it, if you didn't know it existed. We visited here recently on a day my husband and I wanted to try some hidden items at Island of Adventure. This was a stop we had on our list. This stop is an outdoor quick service location. It is located in Toon Lagoon towards the back, it is sort of across from the entrance to Pluto's Barge water ride. It is only open for lunch and dinner and has an extremely limited menu. It is also all outside, there are no tables inside, but most of them have covering. The first thing I love about this restaurant is they serve curly fries!! I love curly fries, and I am pretty sure it is the only place I have seen curly fries at both Universal and Disney! As I said their menu is extremely limited. They only serve 1 burger, a veggie burger and chicken fingers. They also have drinks, 2 desserts and two types of beer. We went to try the Wellington Cheeseburger Platter: cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce, pickle, onions, mayo ketchup. We asked for the onions and mayo ketchup on the side. This burger was fantastic and surprisingly so yummy! This was not your typical theme park burger, it was thick, it was juicy, it was good. The pickles were the longer thin pickles and thick cut slices of tomatoes. It was really good. It did have cheese, but I think next time, I will add extra cheese. The curly fries were crispy and seasoned a tad, normally how curly fries are. Overall, this is a great spot. I saw the chicken fingers and they were the crispy, very bready chicken tender, but they looked like they had a pretty good amount of chicken inside. My only reason for a 4 instead of 5 is there are 3 items on the menu and all the seating is outside and very limited. People were hovering around tables which was highly annoying. I would for sure come back here. To have a decent burger in a theme park is very rare and you will find it here. I would come back here and recommend it to others as well. I say check it out!
