Stop by this mall with my Lady while visiting Jacksonville Easter weekend. She wanted to get her nails done at a spot recommended to her from a friend who used to live here, so we decided to stop in. The nail shop review is under a separate review. But overall, this mall has definitely seen better days. While the exterior doesn't necessarily reveal the level of aging, when you get inside the mall you noticed pretty quickly but this mall is likely on it's downturn. There are several closed, or seemingly closed stores, and most of the traffic seems relegated to a couple of the larger department stores like H&M and Belk. A lot of empty kiosks in the middle of the walkway with the rest of them being occupied by local vendors that didn't seem to be getting much business at all. And if teenagers are still headed to malls on Saturday's to hang out, this is clearly not the mall that most of the local teenagers here hang out in as the traffic was surprisingly light for a Saturday - I just realized that may appeal to certain readers of this review. Lol. Anyway, unless you are visiting a specific store in this mall as a destination, I would probably suggest finding one of Jacksonvilles bigger malls for a true mall experience. read more

I came here to pick up an online order at a store. I parked near the old Buffalo Wild Wings entrance. I will say that it seems like this mall keeps putting actual vendors in parking spaces. In this particular instance, there was a basketball vendor in that location, which leaves less spaces for customers to park. I'm not a huge fan of this mall. It seems like most of the stores I used to really like no longer exist, which is a bummer. read more

Thrilled that after over 25 years of shopping at the Avenues it still is bustling! The service we received in all retail stores we visited was top notch. The selection and value were on point as the mix of stores is still smart unlike many other indoor malls. The food court was busy and consisted of a variety of food spots that could satisfy the picky eater. read more

What a great Mall! Took a granddaughter here shopping and she loved it. There are quite a few stores in this mall. Some name brand stores like Dillard an JcPenny ect! They also have a lot of independent stores that are absolutely amazing with prices. The selection in the stores are great. Seems like we could always find the size we needed the color or style. There was one store we went to I couldn't remember the name, but everything was a dollar. It was like a Claire's but with more options. The food court was also great so many selections with great food. Highly recommend trying the small. read more

Shopping malls still exist? Absolutely, and The Avenues does the perfect job of combining historical mall standards with great local, privately owned businesses. Anchored by Dillard and JC Penny, you'll find all the L-Brands stores inside along with a great eatery, and stores that feature art, sports collectibles, kids activities and even an arcade. What a great mall! Two levels with great variety and specialty shops throughout. It feels safe and fun. Love the coffee shop with the Lavazza coffee which is really hard to find in most cities. It was also fun that they still had the Christmas decorations up. read more

I took my grandkids birthday shopping here a couple of weeks ago. It was a nice little day of fun. We went to Bath and Bodyworks for something to make us smell exquisite. We got some great deals buy 3 get 3. Next window shopping, then lunch at Sbarros, with some bobo tea. Then we got some freeze dried snacks, the best ones were the skittles. The gentleman at the freeze dried snacks let us sample a few flavors and candies before making our choices. We finished up shopping then it was time to go. Long day and we closed the mall. It was busy but not to much so. No riff raff or shenanigans going on. It was a nice family afternoon. I recommend a little retail therapy at The Avenues!!! read more

I don't mall shop often but needed to grab a few gifts and wanted to check a place that had at least 2 department stores. This mall has changed since I last visited before 2020. Many of the smaller stores I remember are gone but the dated looking mall surprisingly still had many stores occupied. Three major anchor stores remain (JC Penney, Dillard's, and Belk) and various other stores and a food court. It was pretty empty on a weekday, easy access to the highway, and plenty of parking. Surrounding area has other places to shop too, including Target, Home Goods and Five Below a quick drive away (5 minutes). read more

Visiting the Avenues is like stepping back in time when everyone went to the mall for their shopping needs. The Avenues is a decent mall but needs some much needed renovations before it turns into another ghost as other malls have over the years. Parking at the mall isn't bad because well let's face it, nobody is shopping here. You get there in the morning and you are almost certainly get a parking spot right out the door of the chain store you are there to visit. The mall itself could use some more modern stores, but currently sports a few big chain stores such as JcPenny, Belt, Fifth Ave to name a few. They also have a food court with a few different restaurants from grab and go to sit down at Agave or BWW. The problem is that a lot of people don't shop or eat at these places which leads to a ghost town in the mall. Overall The Avenues could be a great mall once again with a little renovation, a few more stores, and some other improvements to attract customers. read more

Parking sucks near the food court. The restroom near the food court smells funny. Aside from those minor issues. This mall has everything you would expect at any other mall. Decent sized food court with many options. In addition there's various vendors throughout that sells sweets such as smoothies, cake, etc. This mall has two stories thus there's an escalator and elevator. Both were functional on our most recent visit. There's even an arcade. Not terrible busy outside the food court on a Saturday. read more

The Avenues is alive and well! To me, this is the best mall of its kind in the Jacksonville area. There is still a "draw" to this type of indoor shopping mall where you can go inside and not have to worry about the weather outside and have so many stores at your fingertips. Even if you shop online and return in-store...you get drawn in to look around (then things happen). The Avenues has a wide variety of stores, restaurants and eateries. It is clean inside and safe inside and out. I like the carpeting throughout on the upper level...makes it seem cozy. I also like the skylights...they are really cool when it's raining! There are nice sitting areas throughout the mall to take a break and/or leave the spouse who doesn't want to accompany you (ho hum). The parking lot all the way around the mall is more than ample and they have Military Veteran spaces as well...pretty cool! read more

I went to the Avenue's mall recently with a friend who was visiting from Orlando. It had been years since I was here and I was pleased with the quality and number of stores. It was nice to see an indoor mall thriving in 2021! We visited more stores than I can count. One of my most exciting finds was at an NFL kiosk where I found a Ravens Christmas ornament and my friend found a Seahawks blanket. We also hit up Bath and Body Works which was having a sale so I stocked up on hand soaps. The mall was clean and full of Christmas shoppers. We stopped in the food court to use the restroom and buy a soda. I was so happy the pizza place had Pepsi lol! There was one discount clothing store where we both bought leggings but I can't remember the name. I would absolutely recommend the Avenue's mall for your shopping needs. I will definitely be heading back soon. read more

This mall has lost a lot of its luster over the yrs. It's really sad to watch actually. Many of the stores aren't even big name stores anymore. The building itself needs a lot of maintenance and just doesn't look like the nicer malls you see down south. The sign outside has been swallowed up by the trees and even the trees in the parking lot area aren't maintained. read more

I am giving The Avenues 4 Stars because I cannot find a reason not to. (Hey, I'm being honest here, right?) I don't like malls and I don't care for shopping, but The Avenues is still a pretty decent place to go and it's safe. It is kept clean, including very decent bathrooms, and compared to other malls in the area, it is well maintained. The parking lot is always clean as well, with not only plenty of handicapped parking but some designated veteran parking by the food court as well. It has a nice variety of shops on both levels. There is a glass elevator located near the middle of the mall, escalators and stairs. Skylights give natural light on bright Florida days. read more

Whenever I have a little free time, I enjoy living life a little bit. Yeah!!! I know. As long as we have breath in our bodies, we are living life everyday. Of course! But, my definition of living life a little is actually spending senseless time treating yourself to the things that therapeutically rejuvenate your well-being such as vacationing; exercising; relaxing beachside; or... in my case shopping, sleeping, eating, and yelping! Today, I enjoyed an evening of food court dining; window shopping... well window shopping turned into a few purchases. It's not quite my thing to visit the mall but, today, I just couldn't stopping by just to check out a local business that has branched out from their storefront location in Riverside to the Avenues Mall, The Copper Closet. What an amazing store! They are very kind; clean; and trendy. Their garment selections are according to the season and is very big on team spirit when it comes to college football season. Overall, the Avenues Mall is one of my go to shopping malls as they are indoors; and all of my favorite stores are there such as NY&C; Cotton On; and H&M. What I dislike about physically visiting these stores is that what I see online is not always in-store. I am the shopper that prefers trying on my garments before purchasing them instead for having to wait for return shipments via mail. read more

Decent mall on the southside of Jacksonville that offers a great selection of stores (though I wish that they had a Macy's). The mall is clean and mapped out nicely with two stories of shopping to be had. I had a lunch meeting with clients at the Ale House, basically on the property, and afterwards I took a few moments to walk through the mall and, as usual, walked out with a few bags under my arms. I would recommend coming here and will return when I am in the area. read more

I really love coming to this mall! They have a great food court selection and all the major stores. I'm certain you could find just about anything here. I do wish they would add 1 convenience store with gum, snacks, energy drinks, etc. And I hate bringing my daughter to the play place because she loves to come and run around with other kids but it is sooo gross. These photos are taken at 10:16am on a Saturday, the mall opens at 10am so it is obvious they never vacuum or sanitize it at the end of the day. Probably not in months. The Avenue Mall is busy during the holidays season. Black Friday is last true sales until new year sales. The anchor store are the Dillard, Sears, Belk, JC Penny and Forever 21. They have the biggest Forever 21 and Belk that I have ever seen. The special store that interest me are American Wedding Star, Brookstone, Build A Bear Workshop, Dragon Breath, Color Me Mine. These are the stores that actually bring different crowds to the mall. The mall Christmas decorations is average. It can improve may be add a few Christmas light to make it more festive. The only set back for this mall is the food court or restaurant are not interesting or big name chain that can attract the crowd. The positive is the mall has many parking slot. By located on the important US 1 and the Southside Blvd. has make this mall in the prime location with many access. read more

Still a fan- I went out and braved the holiday shopping crowds to walk the mall in search of... Pokemon- shhh- our little secret. There was shopping too and lots of walking and snacking on so many different nibbles. 2 hours of poking in and out of shops with my boys and I am just impressed with the cleanliness, the security, the entire scene. There are plenty of shops- plenty of sales. You have a huge selection of eateries. What is not to like?! And yes- for you pokemon hunters- there are a few gyms and poke stops too! I bought a Viking under counter ice maker. Best Buy later changes the delivery date from 05/20 to we don't know. Then they tell me they can't get that Viking anymore add to my online cart a Viking that is double the price. I talk and chat line with 10 different people. They send me into the store and the store gives me a number saying they can't help me. The 2 people I talk with at LPFR say they can't help and offer me $500 towards buying a different ice maker. I say hey we can split the difference and offer to pay half of the price increase they say no. This was a fair and switch. I've spent a lot of money with Best Buy. They have lost a customer and I'm going to tell everyone I can not to do business with them. read more

I know all the rave now is about the St. John's Town Centre. But when it's raining or when it's 100 degrees outside, I come to The Avenues. Then there are times when I just don't feel like driving to the Town Centre, so I choose The Avenues instead. All my main "staple" stores are here like Dillards, Belk, MAC, Coach, Bath & Body, and Artsy Abode (where I can get my Pandora charms and bracelets). They have a new cool local store called Catwalk which has a little bit of everything... you should definitely check that place out. And of course they have all of hubby's "staple" stores like Foot Locker, Gamestop, and American Eagle. Tons and tons of other stores too. They even now have a Lush here! Yay! And we don't just stick to our "Staple" stores either, when we're here, we tend to wander from store to store. There's definitely something here for everyone. As other have mentioned, they have a great food court upstairs. Plenty of options to choose from with plenty of seating. I love that there is an actual parking garage where Dillards is located. So when it's raining, you can avoid the rain all together. There's no charge for parking in the garage either. The mall has been very well maintained over the years. It's nice, clean, and believe it or not, still shiny. It almost looks new once you're inside. Hard to believe it's been here for as long as it has.... about 24 years. Great place to shop as an alternative to The Town Centre. So don't forget The Avenues is here! Especially when it's hot and/or raining! read more

The Avenues Mall is conveniently located on the Southside. It is a full indoor mall with various types of stores. It had the major department stores like Belk, Dillards, JC Penny and Sears. They also have a gigantic Forever 21, larger than any I have seen. There are many ways to get into the mall from Phillips Hwy and Southside. There is ample parking and a parking structure so even during the holidays there is parking. What I like is that between the Orange Park Mall, Avenues and St Johns Town Center there aren't a lot of duplicate stores. There is always something new to discover. Each mall has its own feel and is set up completely differently. The mall itself is fairly clean and they have plenty of directories so if your not familiar with the mall, you can find your way around. It is a nice mall to just go walk around when you have nothing to do and just want to explore. read more

I was a vendor in this mall in a one year temporarely contract,they kept my $1000 deposit for cleaning.Managing team is awful,mall was dirty all the time,service was very bad.One of the main escalator was broken two months during the Chrismas time.I don't advise anybody to do business with them. read more

Looking for a good mall in the Jacksonville area? Look no further. This place has all that one expects to see and get from a standard mall. Chain stores, food court, restaurants, play area, etc. This two floor mall has plenty to offer and lots of space to walk around. The open ceiling creates an even more inviting feel to the overall aesthetic. Natural lighting is always a win in my book. They have pretty much every store you'd want to see and look in. Especially during holiday times, I think chain stores do make life easier and a mall that has them all conveniently located is a happy dance. It's clean, modern feeling, and well kept also. Parking was plentiful and your won't struggle to find a decent spot if you stay away from food court parking side - which is true of any mall. Overall: A Good mall that's kept clean and has plenty to offer. read more

Why haven't I reviewed the Avenues yet? Hell, I only worked here for 5 years at MAC cosmetics back in the day! This is my go-to Jacksonville mall option for: ALL rainy days (after parking in the garage), when I don't feel like dealing with the masses at the Town Center (which is often), Forever 21, CottonOn, H&M visits, and finally when Victoria's Secret is having a sale (as most flock to the Town Center first). The Avenues is an ol' faithful when it comes to mall shopping and (although it's undergone some changes and dips in recent years) I'm glad it's here and still an option when I need it! -- and I do need it! read more

I read the other comments about this mall. And everyone is about right. It's a good mall but outside of Forever 21 nothing really special. I would definitely recommend it over Regency. Being that I'm from south Florida, a lot of items being advertised in the shops and boutiques as *new or *just released are at least 3 months behind and overpriced. Though it was still great to go to the common Departments stores like JCPenny and Dillard and find items that are no available locally through our home location in Tallahassee. It still kept me and my friend busy for four hours shopping (mostly in Forever 21), eating, & walking around. Decent food court, but I wish there were more options then traditional mall pizza, burgers, subways, and Chinese. I can't believe there's no MACY'S! read more

Charolette Russe is trashy their return policy only allows exchange or store credit within 14 days which is bullshit. If I have my receipt and unworn it shouldn't matter especially if the same items are in stock. Buyer beware and definitely lost a customer.
