We came here while we were in the area. Selfishly I wanted to see what Christmas decor they had out, so we headed inside. When we arrived it looked to be not only packed with items, but packed with people. Coming here on a busy weekend day can mean a few things, you're having to constantly say excuse me to get by people, you'll wait in line for a while, and you may or may not lose interest standing in line with all the people. I went straight to the Christmas decor. They had three full rows of items, but I will say, it was only a few days after Halloween, and they still had a bunch of fall/Halloween items they were marking down, so they didn't have ALL their Christmas decor out. After bumping into a few people, I lost interest. I plan on coming here during the week to avoid the crowds. read more

If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I would. I had the best experience in this location today! The manager Jeanie was such a great help. If I had a question, she had an answer. She also didn't think twice about putting a rug back on the rack that I thought I was sure about and then take down another one. Then she went even further to help me find my nightside tables! One of the good Homegoods in my opinion. Located at Southside with plenty of parking spots (yayyy!) This particular Homegoods has always have a great variety of wonderful items! Whenever I go here it's always clean and organized! They always have the latest stuff compare to the other Homegoods I have been. They have plenty of selection here from houseware, indoor and outdoor furniture, kitchen supplies, bedroom and bathroom needs, pets, cleaning stuff! name it! I love going here because it is larger homegoods and you always have a plenty of space to walk in. My favorite area to hang out is the clearance lol which you can get great deal if you are lucky! they also have the best gift wrapper here! It's thick and it comes with ribbon and card. Employees here are not as friendly as the other homegoods, last time we went we waited a long time for us to pay even though they kept asking help in the front. read more

My wife and I are regulars at Home Goods. We went into this store at Southside Blvd in Jax and walked out with literally a ton of products. We had not planned to buy that day. However the deals were enormous and the staff were the best I've ever seen anywhere. Special shout out to Brian who got our buys ready for us, to the cashier, I forgot her name. She's Lebanese American. The store manager and everyone else was so polite and patient. This group of 3 people made our year! We bought a gazebo, outdoor kitchen island and several other smaller items and we even opened up credit cards with you all. Great experience and great deals. We will be back for more. Thank you all. It is so un organized needs to be cleaned and sanitized every time a customer leaves and they never do and and keep cleaning and make everything more organized and plus everything is expensive have more sales and plus give your cut coupons! it is just nasty and gross and when you come inside and seriously! It's easy to get lost at this store, not because it's so big but it's a place where one can find so many beautiful things from bath items, kitchen wares, bedroom & bathroom furnishings, painting/artwork to lamps. If you are furnishing a new home or updating your humble abode you surely will find something at Homegoods. Not only do they have beautiful stuff but the price is always right. There are three stores in the Jacksonville area. During Christmas the stores are super packed so the aisles are like obstacle course. Not for claustrophobics. This will not deter me from coming to shop. At my last outing I found cool toys for our Yelpie event and many other items for Christmas presents. Home Goods is a great store if you like to browse. I'm always torn about stores like Home Goods- I enjoy seeing all the different items, but hate that there is little organization. Good luck finding a set of any individual pieces. And honestly- there are some things that are way over priced. From lamps, to furniture, to home decorations- I literally laughed at the prices on a small piece of natural amethyst stone. It wasn't even a bookend its something set in a pedestal & they wanted $35. I feel bad for the poor sucker that sees something shiny & over pays. But on the flip side- you can find some interesting deals too. It's a scavenger hunt for items. I saw more damaged items today than ever before & the empty aisles are sad. read more

I absolutely love this store! Initially when I was told about homegoods, the Atlantic and beach location was mentioned. But because this store is close to me, I chose to go here. I am so glad I did! Because I found everything I was looking for! I recently purchased a property and thanks to this store, my decorations are complete! I have a specific color theme, and this particular store is so organized that I can go straight to where they have each theme and find my decorations. Also, the employees are extremely friendly! Because of Covid, they wipe down all the carts before giving it to new customers. And when exiting, they actually acknowledge you and say goodbye as opposed to ignoring you since you've already made your purchase. Love this store!!! read more

"You spin me right 'round, baby, Right 'round" I mean, who doesn't love designer things at reduced prices. In this day and age, saving a little money is always a welcomed occurrence. We are sleeping on expensive sheets right now that we purchased for a lower price. That said, this place makes my head spin. You walk in and there's this euphoria that comes from all of the shiny colorful items that you know will have that price strikethrough with another price that makes your heart sing. Then reality sets in. This place is ALWAYS crowded. Filled with the screams of children, some who have been held hostage by parents overcome by "discount madness" and others who are just unruly. Rude shoppers who are afraid to say excuse me as they plow through tight aisles. Shell-shocked employees who are just counting down until their break. On the bright side, this Home Goods will never let you down when it comes to claiming your discounted Calphalon trophy. Now, you may not claim all the spoils that your heart desired when you arrived, but you will still leave with a lower-case "v" for victory with hopes of an uppercase one during your next battle. read more

Absolute worst experience I've ever had in a store. I went to check out and ask a few questions and the workers at the check out continuously rolled their eyes, huffed, and laughed in my face. Incredibly rude, unhelpful, and straight up mean girl attitudes for no reason. Everyone seemed fed up with their jobs (understandable. Working retail is not for everyone) but that's no reason to take it out on a random customer?? I've gotten this type of "service" from a Burger King before but never in a retail setting. High-quality, brand name products for a fraction of their original price are hidden here. Every room in my apartment has something from here, from decorations to dishes to even food. My favorite Home Goods finds from over the years include handmade Turkish dishes, imported Italian glass bowls and a beautiful glass tray (just to name a few). The only negative is if you love what you purchased, you most likely would not be able to find it again in this location due to its revolving inventory. What an awful experience. I shop at home goods frequently and have never experienced such a poor customer experience. I placed an item on hold as it was large and I would need to come back to get it later that day. They would not let me pay for it in advance so when returning to the store after previously spending about 20 minutes in line to reserve it, I had to then wait another 30 minutes just for them to actually let me pay for the item I had already reserved. In addition, they were rude, unhelpful and difficult between both experiences. Will not be coming back to this location ever again. read more

I can't believe I've never been in here before. Or any Homegoods location for that matter. I was doing a bit of shopping in the plaza, and decided to scratch the itch finally and venture inside... Woah! Like Kristina K said, it's a TJ Maxx for housewares and decor! I did know that from the reviews going in, but as a lifetime shopaholic, always on the lookout for a good deal or sale, I was a happy camper. And just like the above mentioned stores, you will have to search a bit here and there for that special treasure, but I kinda enjoy that hunt. I actually went up and down every aisle. Some aisles were a little more claustrophobia inducing than others, but I seemed to manage it ok. Candles, glassware, silverware, decorative pillows and frames, furniture, bathroom stuff, some specialty foods... it's all here. While I'm not always a "label" shopper, on some items, it does matter, and if you can get a well made item at a discount, why not? Or to find that one unique piece that will "tie the room together." I will admit I didn't buy a thing this past trip... it was more about scoping it out for the first time. And you probably won't catch me in there until after the holiday season, as I'm sure it can get a little crazy in there. They were announcing that people were donating to St Jude's while they were checking out, and that was really awesome. Every time they announced, "Ladies and gentlemen, we just received another $5 donation for St. Judes!" the entire store erupted in cheers and applause. How cool is that? read more

We saw some great stuff in the Southside store tonight and even bought a few things, but I am definitely not happy about it at all. The gentleman with the beard, who I assume was the manager, is not doing your business any favors. This guy announced over the loud speaker tonight that the time was 9:15 and the store will be closing at 9:30. Nothing is wrong with that, but then he immediately follows this statement with "and the lights are going off at 9:30, so for your safety please gather your items and head to the front to check out." I laughed at first, but not because it was funny... but because it was so outrageous and incredibly rude to even suggest turning out lights on your customers. Now I could shrug this off normally, but he also made another announcement at 9:30, without a threat this time but still in a rude, unwelcoming tone. He also felt the need to personally mention it to us as we are headed to the front with our items. As we are paying for our items at the register, he starts making the lights flicker which I assume is a signal to hurry because there were people still in the store shopping. Then as we are walking out the door, I still hear him complaining as he was approaching the front telling the young lady working at the register "I can't believe it's 9:40 and people are still in the store." I'm not surprised at this point, but disappointed that an employee, particularly a manager, would feel so comfortable complaining so callously about paying customers. Now I know the challenges many businesses are having just to find and maintain a sufficient number of people to work, but as a customer I do not want to spend my hard earned money with someone who acts like my very presence in your store is a nuisance and inconvenience. The ONLY reason I did buy the few items I did was out of love for my spouse and to see that smile after a very tough week. Any other time, I would have walked out and shopped with a competitor that appreciates when customers choose them for their shopping WANTS!! Please understand this post is not to create trouble for anyone, but to bring awareness in a forum that may inspire company leaders to quickly correct this unacceptable behavior before it continues to damage the reputation of this store and ultimately the others. It may not make sense when you really think about it, but the reality is many of us have or knows someone that has boycotted an entire retail or restaurant chain because of the actions of one employee at one location and won't hesitate to tell the story to anyone that is willing to listen. read more

Great designer sheets with high thread count, big fluffy bath sheets to wrap up in, name brand cookware, and wonderful inported glass decorative pieces. One of the best presents anyone could give me is a gift card to Homegoods. This is one of two locations in Jacksonville (the other one is in Jax Beach). Yes it is a chain but seriously, it is a home decorator and cook's dream! They sell brand name dishware, cooking supplies, linens, furniture and home decor as a discount. You can find Le Crueset dutch ovens, Ralph Lauren sheets, and much much more. It's one of my favorite places to "feather our nest"! read more

Homegoods is one of my favorite stores for years now. I like the sister stores, Marshalls and TJ Maxx. I like Homegoods best because it's focus is just on items needed for the home. They have great clearance items. Sometimes I think the store is overcrowded with items; however it gives you a wide variety to browse through. I think the aisles are too small. It's hard for two baskets to go down some of the aisles. This does not deter me from shopping. HG does not have a lot of sales personnel walking around the store to see if you need anything. This doesn't bother me because I never need to ask a lot of questions. The location on Southside blvd is close to Target, Michaels, Bed Bath & Beyond & less than a mille from the Avenues Mall (just to name a few). Despite my critiques, this is still one of my favorite stores. read more
