It's unfortunately famous for the wrong reasons. There were news of teens being rowdy and disruptive, and now there is a policy that all kids and teens must have a parent with them at certain days and times. Not a big deal for me as I am 46. I went to this mall to eat at a restaurant at the food court. It's an average sized mall (1 story) with your typical stores. I didn't visit any of the anchor stores, but I did go to Bath and Body Works to get a hand soap. The food court area was nicely sized and looked clean. I got to the mall with my son just before opening today in between appointments. We walked the whole mall - everything was clean. The bathrooms were clean as well, which was great. Many of the stores were just opening. I know the mall has a reputation to not be the greatest place to be later in the day or in the evening, but it was fairly quiet while I was there today. There were only a few shut down stores so as far as a mall goes, there were many options. Today we mainly stopped in at Belk, Hallmark and swirl suites to see the holiday items. I feel that anybody could find value at the mall as there are many different stores that range in different price points. Service was great everywhere that we experienced today. read more

It's a good mall overall. Lots of different shops, lots of different restaurants to choose from. The mall is actually nice and clean for the most part. Some of the stores on the other hand, could use some serious cleaning and new carpet (Belk). Also.... Where are the lines for cars to park on their lot lol. I parked by Belk, a few lines were really faded, very hard to see, but for the rest of that parking lot... "Zero" parking lines were visible lol. I am not from Jacksonville, so I could be wrong, maybe that's just the way the parking lot was made! The mall could definitely use some updating, but it is still a good mall to come and hang out, do a little window shopping, eat some food, etc. read more

That business in those Orange Park Mall does not open until 11:00 and that is so unsat for people that want to shop at least by 10:00 and get out have lunch at 12:00 and then go home there's people that can't go anywhere anymore because they're elderly and like to be inside but elderly people remember rise early and you should serve them early every store should be open by 10:00 in the morning this is ridiculous. Since it is a mall, there is a decent amount of parking and it is located conveniently on a main road. It is not far from 295, so if you have to travel a bit, there is a Highway you can Traverse and not get too lost trying to find this place. read more

This is a nice mall to walk around my daughter needed black converse for work. They had to be all black and not high tops. We stopped into journeys and they sized her up and got them. I also needed my ring sized and all the jewelry stores were closed around town it was past 5 pm. But the kiosk in front of the food court does jewelry repair on site took him about 30 minutes and it's perfect. What a super nice guy. He has been there about 23 years. He is just amazing and made my night. I can finally wear my ring again. He also had great stuff on sale so pretty. I love this mall we all got back massages at the Asian massage place I feel so much better. I dint know that I could ask for a better mall well maybe if they put a bar and a casino in it lol. I'm not a mall fan, but the OP Mall is a good, average mall for our area. Because of it's location, it has kept a good ratio of opened stores compared to other malls. The food court is very popular. The bathrooms are average in cleanliness. The parking lot is always packed. Tip - if you aren't going to the movie theatre, it's best to park elsewhere to avoid the hysteria. There are many entrances all around the mall easily accessible. The main thing that irks me about the OP Mall is the proliferation of fly-by-night kiosks that pop up, run by sketchy international companies selling things that you normally find in flea market stores. Many of the workers act as if they are in a third world bazaar, hawking their wares obnoxiously as you walk by. read more

I am really quite fond of the Orange Park mall. As someone else mentioned in a previous review, the layout is quite awkward; however, if you shop there often, it becomes just as familiar as any other mall and no longer feels awkward. Except during the peak shopping season (black Friday through Christmas), you'll never have trouble finding parking here unless you're trying to park near the AMC theatre which is attached to the mall. Even if you're here to see a movie, it's generally easier to park at the mall entrance near Dillards and walk directly through the mall to the AMC. Keep in mind that the mall doors do close at 9pm, so if your movie will be getting out past that time, you'll have to walk all the way around the outside of the mall to get to your car if you park by Dillards. So if you're seeing a late movie, make sure to park as close as you can to the AMC. They have all the stores you'd generally expect to find in your average mall, but there are no high-end stores here. There's not even a Coach store in this mall (you'll have to go to the Avenues or Town Center for that). The food court is quite nice here and there are many different options. It's wonderful to feel you are shopping in a safe environment. Well, at least as safe as one can get in today's pretty twisted world! The security guys can be a drag though because if they see you snapping photos (which I do often for Yelp purposes), they'll tell you quickly you aren't allowed to do that and instruct you to stop immediately. So if you want to take a photo for Yelp of a business, take a look around and make sure there's not a security guard watching you. I'm rather shocked one person gave this mall 1 star and referred to it as "ghetto." If you want "ghetto," go check out Regency Square mall. No, this mall is no St. John's Town Center and it is most certainly nothing like the Millenia Mall in Orlando, but it's still a nice mall. I'd actually compare it to the Florida Mall in Orlando only smaller and with considerably less shops. I do love the fact there is a TGIFriday's attached to the mall directly across from the AMC theatre. If you get out of a late movie and want to catch a bite, you can always count on TGIFridays to be open for you. To anyone in need of a wheelchair, you can borrow one free of charge from Guest Services. You'll just need to leave your license or car keys with them and fill out a short form. All in all, I think it's a great mall, and for the most part, all of the shops have really friendly and helpful associates. I'll continue to keep coming back again and again! read more

This mall used to be pretty decent. The stores are still pretty good compared to Regency Mall that is a ghost town. The problem is that with the close of regency, a lot of the riffraff had to come here. There are always a bunch of teens walking around which is ok but the number of saggy pants is really increasing. That is troubling. Now you see a few cops standing around all the time. Of course that is good and helpful, but still changes the mood a little. Stores come and go here but the core stores are steady. I shop at Buckle and Dillard's mostly. Buckle rarely has a sale but the kids like the clothes. So all in all this is ok because this is all there is on the Westside but watch your wallet just the same. read more

OP Mall is full of memories from my youth, scares from my early adult years when trying to see a movie, and few new memories. But on occasion, I venture into the mall because I still live fairly close and can find some basics, but never at night and I stick close to the department stores and away from AMC. I may visit for Old Navy or The Children's Place, and have also recently stopped by a Touch a Truck event in the parking lot. But recently, I was looking for a nearby indoor spot to take my kids to play for a few minutes when storms kept us away from our normal outdoor adventures. Thankfully, the play area is now right in front of the Sears entrance, so we found it easily. It's designed for young kids but is new and clean and soft for them. I'd love to see a play area that provides something for more than just toddlers though. Overall, the mall is clean and has basic stores, but is still not a safe feeling place at night near the theatre and I'll almost always drive further for better shopping. read more

They have a great food court and now a place for adult beverages besides coffee. Thru the years they have kept the spaces full of retail even in the low economy era. It's a sad mall with an uneasy feel. If you need to visit; visit during the day. When you enter, you'll feel the energy, see the state it's in, then want to go directly to the store, complete your business and leave. A mall usually serves two purposes. Malls provides a compound/dwelling in which you may walk to various stores to shop but should also provide a relaxed and comfortable social experience. Not the best food court, however they have a really cool play area, the tunnels and slides and even the floor is cushy and soft so your kids will have less of a chance of getting hurt. One thing I don't like is they don't enforce the height restrictions so sometimes there's like a group of 9-10 year old running in the play area really fast trying to do flips while little toddlers are playing and we have to leave with are toddler so he doesn't get kicked in the head this is definitely supposed to be a playground for toddlers. read more

Mall is usually pretty pack, especially on the weekends. The store and food court selection is decent and typically of other malls although wished they had a Macy's. It has other restaurants either attached to it or nearby if you don't find anything at the mall that you like. They seem to have a lot of activities throughout the year. It's part of the Simon's brand so they have a Kidget Club for kids under 12. Cost is only $5 and pay for itself after the first event. There are around a dozen events throughout the year. Mall does seem to get warm during the summer months. read more

This is a pretty decent mall. I was visiting family in Jacksonville and I wanted to go to a mall close by and they took me there. It was after 7:30pm and the mall closes at 9. There's plenty of stores in there to attract different kinds of shoppers. I stopped in Foot locker and made a purchase (the staff was helpful and very nice). Victoria's Secret was nice too. Charlotte Russe was a breath of fresh air, the girls are welcoming and friendly. Although it was 8:56pm they let me use the fitting rooms and completed my purchase around 9:18 or so, they never rushed me one bit although it was closing time. I didn't get to explore the mall extensively since I went there late but I was very satisfied from this visit. Will definitely go back whenever I go to Jacksonville. read more

It's a mall that been around for a while. Overran with teenagers and most of the things found here can be found also be purchased online, cheaper. Now I sound old. There is however a food court, and it's a good option if you are in the area and don't know what you are feeling for lunch because they do hand out samples. I did notice that there has been additions such as a VR experience area and a massage place. Parking can be a pain if you are parking in front of the main entrance / movie theater. read more

I'm not really a mall person per se but I know what I like and OP mall is alright in my book. Outside of the mega department stores, there's nothing high fashion about it; don't expect to find anything more elite than Express and Abercrombie here lol But it really does meet all general needs of a mall in fair variety with a relatively simple layout: stores for nice clothes, jewelry, shoes, games, a ton of kiosks.................places to pamper yourself, places to specifically pamper someone else, plenty of places to eat and a decent sized AMC Theater with plenty of parking. During certain times of the year (sometimes random, sometimes expected for the holidays or change of season) there are fairs/festivals that take place in some of the larger parking lots. If that's not enough, it's conveniently located (depending on how you look at it) right in the middle of OP so that if you don't find anything you want/need at the mall, just drive up and down Wells Rd or Blanding and you're bound to find something. Now those who complain about traffic, teeny boppers off of their parent's leash on the weekends and limited parking, either stay home or lower your high and mighty expectations just a tad when coming here. It's a mall for pete's sake, so the weekends bring the most inconveniences. Name 1 mall in the country where Fri-Sun are the absolute best times to go (for those of us who've outgrown the mall being our Weekend Spot) Like I said though, maybe it's just me because I'm not a "mall person". If I find myself absolutely having to go....like when I need to get my Yankee Candle fix for example (don't judge!)...I try to go during the week while most are at work or within the first few opening hours on the weekend while most people are sleeping in; as with anything else in life, proper planning is key because this mall is right off of I-295. I also agree with Amy S; this mall isn't in the LEAST bit "ghetto"....I've never been to Regency Square but if you ever find yourself in Norfolk, VA and want to experience a ghetto mall, take a leisurely stroll on out to Military Circle and you will probably come back with less than you had. OP mall is by no means ritzy but "ghetto"? C'mon. It's clean, it's safe and it has variety. I am a senior citizen. At 61 I have a hard time admitting that fact but it's coming fast and I admit that I love an enclosed mall. The open Town Centers are for the young,, not for older folks. Thank goodness this Mall is still around. I love being able to walk in air-conditioned comfort and sit down when I need a break while shopping. I have mobility issues so the benches and sitting areas are nice. I can go from store to store and get a break in between. The anchor stores are good. There are ample stores in the this mall to draw people to it. I know malls are becoming a thing of the past. I hope this one stays around awhile. read more

Went to see Santa tonight at OP Mall. We entered the mall at the theater. I have not visited this mall in years (last year we went to Regency for Santa, and Avenues the year before that -- so to keep with our "tradition" of finding another Santa "helper" to visit this year we went to OP). There was no signs indicating where Santa was, we asked two different kiosk vendors where he was; one knew and one did not, the first pointed and other just basically ignored my question. I was trying real hard not to make a scene; we were having a nice, fun, family outing to see Santa Claus --- I wanted to shake that teen girl with the nose ring, but I just walked away, huffing under my breath!) Anyway, we finally found him in front of JC Penney, now why didn't I ask which store he was in front of? before I went the wrong way? twice! My husband was circling around the parking lot looking for a place and I phoned him to left him know where we were. Anyway --- this mall has not changed much in the 10 years since I used to go almost monthly. Some new stores, some of the same old ones. But one thing I found very bad for me, no benches to rest on (except one). there was a nice grouping of chairs in a couple of places, but a long way from the side strip stores. Please mall people, if you read this --- please think about putting back in the benches; I would have enjoyed shopping and strolling with my family if I could have lingered a little and sat down to rest along the way. Santa was great, and surprise no line! At 8:00 Friday night, we just walked right in and the kids had a nice long visit, and a good looking picture too. The kids and hubby visited a few stores, while I rested in a massage chair (only place I could find to sit) it may be comfy if you pay for a massage, but to linger in it, not so much.) We finished our mall visit with a walk through Books A Million, but the place was too warm, and I was needing fresh air fast, so we left to walk the three blocks to our car! Jacksonville has a lot of malls. That's probably a good thing, considering the size of this place. And technically, Orange Park is not in Jacksonville, but just on the border of the city limits [and I mean just, there is literally no way to know you are moving into a different city]. I haven't spent a ton of time at this mall. As a teenager I would occasionally go to the movie theater there if I had friends who insisted on it. Or, we would even more rarely go for some shopping. I lived in Arlington. This was like another world for me; at least a thirty minute drive. Nowadays, I would say that the Orange Park Mall has done a good job of maintaining it's mediocre status. It has never been the nicest mall, but it has never been a crappy mall, either. It offers some nice [generic mall] shopping, its pretty clean, and its big. I think one reason for it's continued success is its isolation. For people in the area, all of the other, more desirable malls are pretty far away. So, OP Mall's proximity to the Orange Park community is key. So, all in all... an okay place to shop. In my opinion, malls are secondary options for shopping as it is [I prefer more local, unique stores to malls], and when it comes to malls in the area I would definitely hit up the St. Johns Town Center or the Avenues before I came here. But for a mall, its not bad. read more

It desperately needs a Starbucks. I've never been to a mall that didn't have one and, as stupid as it sounds, it really threw me off. There's quite a selection of fast foods in the food court. It had all the usual favorites, plus a few not so common ones, at least for me. The shape of the mall is different and awkward for me. The stores in it aren't very ranged, but are decent. Seems the floor in common areas need some work. There's a train that'll get you where you need to go if you have a kid. If you use it without a kid.... well, honestly that's a bit creepy. Location is convenient for me, but I'd target all the different strip malls in the area first if the weather was good and I needed something specific. read more
