Worst service I've ever had in my life. I came in and ordered the usual- blackberry mojito! this "bartender" made an awefull drink not like the same ones I've had before! No meddled fresh berries and Literally the grossest bottom shelf rum I've ever had! I could not drink it it was nauseating so I just watched him and other bartender ignore me for 45 mins peeling lemons and having joyful loud conversations while I was staring and hollering at them attempting to order a meal !!! So I just left. But I'm sure they'll charge me for the drink anyways! they spent the whole time talking to some old dude drinking a beer! Other pple saw me trying to order but not the bartenders other customers were like i would have left 30 mins ago! Oh yeah I was there for 50 minutes! This place has gone down the hill A LOT! How u not gonna ask for an order for 50 minutes and completely DISREGARD A customer ! Service very friendly from server, waitress, hostess and bartender. A bit slow coming out with beers and desserts. Food good: Veg bowl large and good flavors, brownie w/ice cream served perfectly warm. Food forgetable: cheese cake very cold with cold fruit on top, grilled cheese and roasted tomato soup was not on sourdough, but on small, thick white sandwich bread and soup barely warm but good flavor. Wings nothing special at all. Took forever to come out. Draft beers not super cold but cocktails were good. We Sat in bourbon bar, super loud but good vibe. Beautiful facility that makes it fun. This place went downhill fast. When they first opened, the food was amazing and the "servers" would guide you on what to do when you're ready to order. NOW??!!!! No waffle fries, no chicken sandwich, no poke bowl.... Bartender on her phone hiding and wouldn't make eye contact? And there was only one bartender. Ordered a burger because we were starving but.....Just plan on a burger the size of your palm..eesh! We just left and don't plan on coming back. There wasn't an option for curly fries, they said they only had string fries. Also I DEFINITELY would have chosen Philly cheese if I saw it lol yum but unfortunately that wasn't an option ... maybe we just landed on an off day, just say that? But good luck read more

5 friends and I had lunch at the Armory today and I'm sorry to say I would not recommend it!! I ordered the Caesar and my friend ordered the beet salad and with plans to share. Sadly, the beets were shriveled and seemed to be old. The caesar dressing was not quite right...needing more flavor. The Caesar cheese was similar to cardboard and the croutons were absolutely inedible. And, to make matters worse, their water tastes like sulfur. They do not offer bottled water...too bad! read more

The Armory is a great lunch place. I especially enjoyed the ambience of the balcony tables with umbrellas and a nice summer breeze. Not a lot of food choices but what they have is excellent quality. My wife is vegetarian and wished the had a vegetarian meal plate. We found out they are bringing one on the menu in a few days so that's good. read more

The Armory was great all around. The design and ambiance of the place is fantastic! There are numerous options for where you can sit, some inside, some outside- we opted for outside on the second level with a beautiful view. Our server Ally was the best! So attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. And the food is excellent. Lots of made from scratch options. We loved everything we ordered- the brisket, the prime rib French dip sandwich, the ahi poke bowl. We will be back for sure! read more

I've been studying this place for a few years as I've stayed up the hill in Sonora off and on. It was closed all through the pandemic, but is open now so I finally got to go. It was great. I mean really delightful - easily and by far the nicest place in town. What I continue to find intriguing is that they seem to have zero social media savvy. I mean it's as though they don't exist. Someone one there really needs to get on top of that, or perhaps they should hire someone who has a clue how to establish a presence. Highly recommend the armory. Seemed like the best place in the county to grab a nice drink, bite to eat and enjoy some music. I ordered a smoked old fashion. Old fashions are how I judge most bars skills. It's such a simple cocktail yet most places don't do it well. This place passed with flying colors. The old fashion was incredibly well balanced. Phenomenally executed old fashioned. The food was really good too! I had a delicious Nashville fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was crispy yet juicy. Bun wasn't soggy. And the sauce was yummy. The atmosphere is was great too. I came here the Eve before Christmas Eve so the place wasn't packed but I could tell that it has the potential to be quite lively on a normal Saturday night. They have a big outdoor space with a rooftop deck, multiple bars, and a huge dance hall for live music. The staff were also all friendly and knowledgeable from the manager to the bartenders. I would definitely recommend The Armory to anyone in the county looking for good vibes. read more

After trying their grilled cheese and tomato soup I was underwhelmed. Both were less than mediocre. If you are going to offer a simple classic on a menu it better be amazing. This was over priced and left me hungry with the extra small portions. A friend had the Harvest Bowl that was pretty good. I hate the trend in restaurants to make you serve yourself. You have to order and tip at the register before you get your meal. You have to get your own silverware, water and condiments. Calling this 'fast casual service' doesn't change the fact it is just self service. I can do that at home and I don't have to tip myself for doing nothing. We will not be returning. read more

Food..this resturant was recommended by our hotel. We shared our disappointing experience with hotel the next day. Shockingly bad experience with the "Brisket". Waitress said that we were lucky as that they had just done their weekly smoking of the brisket so it would be fresh. What they first brought us was 1/3 fat of slices, very tough and fatty. Could not eat! we tried to be nice but told them. Then the manager brought us a few better slices - clearly newer slices (had they give us initially the remains from last week .. lt even looked different?). It too has large amounts of fat that should have been trimmed and even so, both the fat and the meat was extremely tough as it had not apparently been cooked long enough or correctly. I make brisket and eat it others brisket .. it was not right! I also spent years in Restaurant business, so I told them they should take it off the menu until they get it right, as even their 2nd try was no good. They merely gave us a credit/ removed for a glass of wine on the bill. read more

Just finished eating there this past weekend. The service was excellent, with the average wait time being less than 10 to 15 minutes for our meals. We were served by Emily, a wonderful witty and talented waitress who knows how to give a compliment or two :-) in addition, the drink menus were not just standard but also innovative and eclectic with one of my favorite drinks being a vanilla meal. The salad was great and the outside seating and open space was one of the more innovative and valuable experiences there as well. All in all, I would highly recommend that you take your friends and family to this establishment whenever you're in Sonora California. Definitely a five star experience! read more

This is a really cool spot in Sonora. Great for a group with fire pits and a decent sized menu. The balcony offered a great view of Washington Street and fire pits too! They have a ton of taps, all solid craft brews. Something to know is that you do order at the bar for both foods and drinks before seating yourself.
