What a great bar/venue... loved the vibe here and we didn't know what to expect. We will definitely eat here next time because the food that went by looked great! We had a few beers here and enjoyed the weather! read more

The food was bad and over-priced. Everything came out cold. The service wasn't great either. It was slow, and folks seemed to be in a bad mood even though it wasn't that busy. The menu is lacking. Single star for good selection of beers on tap. Overall I would say do not come to this place for a meal. Stick to drinks. read more

Fantastic ambiance and new venture, nestled in historic downtown Sonora! This has the feel of a city brewery right in the Sierra foothills. My family loved our fish tacos, fried chicken sandwich and braised pork sandwich! It came out fast and fresh! We can't wait to see what they test on their new menu next. We will be back for sure and are anxiously awaiting the opening of the rest of this huge venue. read more

I found The Armory on Instagram and my husband and I decided to try it. It was just as good as advertised on the 'gram! Great ambiance, vibe, drinks and food! Servers were all super friendly and wait time for food was fast. We are from the Bay Area but visit Twain Harte frequently and will be making this a go to destination! read more

First time here we live in Fresno and decided to come up to Sonora for the day and we found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try so glad we did, We Sat upstairs the waitress was amazing she gave us some pointers The food was sooo yummy we ordered the pork belly nachos, and the steak and fries. We will definitely be back in the future read more

Great food. Just be aware of the time you show up. The bar is inside but the rest of the restaurant is outside. Service was pretty slow, seeing as it was really crowded, and I would not recommend going when it is super crowded during winter. Outdoor seating has heaters, but it still may be an issue. read more

Upscale McDonald's with alcohol. High prices for no service. Had a manhattan for 14$ finished the night with a smoked old fashioned at Emberz for 10$. I seen many from The Armory end up at Emberz. (An no I don't work or favor Emberz as my favorite local spot to eat is station 49 in Jamestown) Who wants to eat out of a cardboard for a 22$ meal. Yes people your paying 22$ for no one to seat you, no server just a person bring your meal in a cardboard to eat out of. Maybe I'll try them much later but for now I won't go back lots better places for the money and atmosphere. P.S. fun part was checking the place out to see how long it will be before someone eats it on all the hazards around the place. Kids playing on the rocks and someone dropping there drink from there hand from the balcony. Yes we personally seen it when we were there. P.S.S. The owner is very ignorant with there comments on reviews, all you have to do is read them. Read google reviews it's even worse. read more

HICAP at Area 12 Agency on Aging hosted our Volunteer Recognition Event at the Armory in their private wine room. From start to finish Elise and Jen were there to make sure everything was in order. It was such an easy process selecting all the details for this event. The service and food were nothing short of amazing. We will definitely be using the Armory again. read more

Last night we got to enjoy the open air seating and one of the first spring evenings warm enough to be able to enjoy it! Had a delicious salad, listened to and danced a bit to the wonderful music of Scott Patrick, visited with a friend, and had a super nice time! we go to The Armory almost every Thursday (my Friday) for the delicious food and live music! read more

Nothing I like more than an open space with a good vibe. Walking in the Amory the is plenty of room to move around but I expect this place to pick up when the live music starts. I'm very particular about my Old Fashioned and wasn't disappointed at all. The Baja Taco was an 8/10 there was just something lacking in the flavor to give it that 10/10 but it's still a solid choice off the menu. read more

This place is super cool! The ambiance and the atmosphere are awesome. We visited Sonora for one night and ended our evening at the Armory where we enjoyed apps and drinks. This place is kid friendly and dog friendly which is super valuable to us. The customer service was also great. We met the manager Bryan who made sure we were enjoying our time and had everything we needed. He even made my 3 year old feel special and acknowledged. We will definitely make it back to the Armory. read more

Ely was the most amazing server ever. Her attitude, the food, and service was amazing. Our group of eight was accommodated. The bowls, the tacos and the massive pretzel was delicious. read more

The ambiance was nice but I wasn't impressed with the food. The server was also helpful and attentive. If you're looking for ambiance yes this is the place. read more

The service was great but... all the dishes were a little on the sweet side. No burger? Menu needs work to provide more flavor without the sweetness. House margarita was also sweet and no tequila you could taste. Most people opted to buy a floater shot. I think they just need to adjust the recipe. We were there opening night so I'm sure they will work this out. Great people and a wonderful venue read more

Update: the General Manager reached out soon after my review and went above and beyond to try and fix the error. He provided an explanation and refunded our card for the overcharge, two delayed meals, and tip. In light of the new info, it seems that we just caught them on an off night. We appreciate his attentiveness and effort to make it right. Thank you! read more

I am not from the area so this review is from the perspective of a tourist visiting friends. This restaurant was great- tons of outdoor seating, both downstairs by the bar and upstairs. If you sit outside by the bar, you order through the bar and then they bring the food to your table. Service was quick and staff were friendly. There was live music inside as well, which you could hear sitting outside. Overall a great place with tons of beers on draft, and vegetarian/vegan friendly menu. read more

Drinks and food are really good. The burgers are the best in Sonora in my opinion. They gave us way to many fries lol but the garlic fries and cris cross where excellent. The staff is also more friendly then other local establishments. read more

How good, great service at the bar. A bit chaotic and confusing at the door. 2nd visit will be easier.

Two of us went for a late lunch today on Saturday. We sat upstairs. We ordered 2 margaritas and 2 hamburgers. After an hour another waitress asked if we wanted another drink. I said we were hungry and where was our food. We've been waiting an hour. She took 1 drink off the bill and checked on the food and said it will be coming up. After a few more minutes we got tired of waiting and told her we were leaving. She said fine and don't worry about the bill. On our way out downstairs I noticed a round high top table that we were going to sit at when we arrived had plates of empty trays and the people had gone. I couldn't believe someone after us had got their food and were finished and gone. This was so disappointing and we won't be back to try this again. read more

Our company had our 2024 annual Christmas Party Dinner at the The Armory. Elise, the coordinator was there for us each step of the way. She made the planning portion easy. The evening went without flaw. It was a fabulous night! There wasn't one thing we would have changed. The filet mignon was so tender, the chicken breast was so moist and flavorful. The appetizer crab cake with sauce was so delicious! The charcuterie cheese board was displayed so beautifully. We enjoyed all the chef's culinary delights. The staff was very courteous, friendly, and helpful! Thank you Armory for making it a lovely evening for our California Gold crew. Thank you Elise for covering all the details, even the napkins were folded as a Christmas tree! read more

I have been to this restaurant a few times but tonight was the best experience. I had the fish tacos and my adult children had the short ribs and the French dip. This place is perfect for the area. The most modern and comfortable place in town. Everything feels brand new but at the same time like it belongs there. The Armory is a great lunch place. I especially enjoyed the ambience of the balcony tables with umbrellas and a nice summer breeze. Not a lot of food choices but what they have is excellent quality. My wife is vegetarian and wished the had a vegetarian meal plate. We found out they are bringing one on the menu in a few days so that's good. read more

Best place in town!! Really fun vibe and the food is delicious. Had the rodeo burger and sat upstairs under the misters.

Service very friendly from server, waitress, hostess and bartender. A bit slow coming out with beers and desserts. Food good: Veg bowl large and good flavors, brownie w/ice cream served perfectly warm. Food forgetable: cheese cake very cold with cold fruit on top, grilled cheese and roasted tomato soup was not on sourdough, but on small, thick white sandwich bread and soup barely warm but good flavor. Wings nothing special at all. Took forever to come out. Draft beers not super cold but cocktails were good. We Sat in bourbon bar, super loud but good vibe. Beautiful facility that makes it fun. Will try again with other food selections since service was friendly, building is cool and cocktails good. read more

The food, drinks and service were all excellent. It was our first time there and it couldn't have been better. The unique indoor/outdoor feel of the place was a lot of fun too. We enjoyed lunch here today. The ambiance is great and we liked the variety of seating options. Our food was good, but we especially liked the pretzel! Lots of great drink options too, both alcoholic or n/a. I think it's a nice spot to try out if you're in the area! read more

This place went downhill fast. When they first opened, the food was amazing and the "servers" would guide you on what to do when you're ready to order. NOW??!!!! No waffle fries, no chicken sandwich, no poke bowl.... Bartender on her phone hiding and wouldn't make eye contact? And there was only one bartender. Ordered a burger because we were starving but.....Just plan on a burger the size of your palm..eesh! We just left and don't plan on coming back. There wasn't an option for curly fries, they said they only had string fries. Also I DEFINITELY would have chosen Philly cheese if I saw it lol yum but unfortunately that wasn't an option ... maybe we just landed on an off day, just say that? But good luck read more
