Love the food, love Ellie... this spot is a must if you're around Sonora. Good food, good service.

Excellent food, great service, and they let our pooch in and she had a great dinning experience as well. The pulled pork nachos were very tasty and loaded with great meat! Highly recommended! read more

Great food and drinks with an amazing atmosphere!!! Absolutely love it!!! I had the fish tacos and they were so delicious!!!

Fantastic food, great service and a truly cool place to just hang out. Please consider this place if you are close by, you won't regret it.

Casey is amazing best server !!! Best in Sonora!! Amazing amazing service We love the armory!! read more

What a refreshing place in our little town. Great vibes, hardworking and adorable employees. Try the loaded fries and an Agua Fresca while you catch some live music. read more

The food was fantastic, great fish tacos. However it took 1hour and 20 minutes to get our food and it wasn't even busy. Yikes

I've been studying this place for a few years as I've stayed up the hill in Sonora off and on. It was closed all through the pandemic, but is open now so I finally got to go. It was great. I mean really delightful - easily and by far the nicest place in town. What I continue to find intriguing is that they seem to have zero social media savvy. I mean it's as though they don't exist. Someone one there really needs to get on top of that, or perhaps they should hire someone who has a clue how to establish a presence. Had I not physically seen it and been intrigued, I never would have gone. I can only imagine how many travelers skipped it because they had no clue. read more

Highly recommend the armory. Seemed like the best place in the county to grab a nice drink, bite to eat and enjoy some music. I ordered a smoked old fashion. Old fashions are how I judge most bars skills. It's such a simple cocktail yet most places don't do it well. This place passed with flying colors. The old fashion was incredibly well balanced. Phenomenally executed old fashioned. The food was really good too! I had a delicious Nashville fried chicken sandwich. The chicken was crispy yet juicy. Bun wasn't soggy. And the sauce was yummy. The atmosphere is was great too. I came here the Eve before Christmas Eve so the place wasn't packed but I could tell that it has the potential to be quite lively on a normal Saturday night. They have a big outdoor space with a rooftop deck, multiple bars, and a huge dance hall for live music. The staff were also all friendly and knowledgeable from the manager to the bartenders. I would definitely recommend The Armory to anyone in the county looking for good vibes. read more

Yummy food and amazing atmosphere! Our server, Elly was the BEST waitress. She was so friendly and attentive. She provided great service to our group of 8. Definitely coming back! read more

After trying their grilled cheese and tomato soup I was underwhelmed. Both were less than mediocre. If you are going to offer a simple classic on a menu it better be amazing. This was over priced and left me hungry with the extra small portions. A friend had the Harvest Bowl that was pretty good. I hate the trend in restaurants to make you serve yourself. You have to order and tip at the register before you get your meal. You have to get your own silverware, water and condiments. Calling this 'fast casual service' doesn't change the fact it is just self service. I can do that at home and I don't have to tip myself for doing nothing. We will not be returning. read more

Food poisoning from 2 bites of the ahi that smelled like a dirty kitchen sponge. Sent back and I felt bad about it but the server didn't seem like she cared about our concerns. Got home and was throwing up in an hour. Attempted to call and let them know but it wasn't answered and voicemail was full. Do not eat raw fish in Sonora apparently read more

5 stars easily. This place was recommended to us and was no brainer. Brand new beautiful (2) bars, one outside and one inside. A lil pricey but worth it. Heaters, tv's, great customer service. Ask for Ellie, she's great at her job. read more

5 friends and I had lunch at the Armory today and I'm sorry to say I would not recommend it!! I ordered the Caesar and my friend ordered the beet salad and with plans to share. Sadly, the beets were shriveled and seemed to be old. The caesar dressing was not quite right...needing more flavor. The Caesar cheese was similar to cardboard and the croutons were absolutely inedible. And, to make matters worse, their water tastes like sulfur. They do not offer bottled water...too bad! read more

Amazing service, great drinks, awesome food. I've never had a bad time at this location. Highly recommended!

I live in Tuolumne County and I'm interested in your business. I wanted to research what you were serving. I would love to be able to find a menu with what you are serving. read more

Bummer...love the ambiance. We are not going to return. The drinks are great other than that not good. The price related to quantity is ridiculous. The delivery staff at the armory were completely not customer centered. I wish this place was different because it has a good possibility of a place for all to gather. read more

The Armory was great all around. The design and ambiance of the place is fantastic! There are numerous options for where you can sit, some inside, some outside- we opted for outside on the second level with a beautiful view. Our server Ally was the best! So attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. And the food is excellent. Lots of made from scratch options. We loved everything we ordered- the brisket, the prime rib French dip sandwich, the ahi poke bowl. We will be back for sure! read more

Place seems really nice I really liked the ambiance, definitely a nice change for Sonora. However I think I'll wait until they have a full menu to come back. The items on their menu were good but I feel like for the prices there should be some more option to pick from. read more

Food..this resturant was recommended by our hotel. We shared our disappointing experience with hotel the next day. Shockingly bad experience with the "Brisket". Waitress said that we were lucky as that they had just done their weekly smoking of the brisket so it would be fresh. What they first brought us was 1/3 fat of slices, very tough and fatty. Could not eat! we tried to be nice but told them. Then the manager brought us a few better slices - clearly newer slices (had they give us initially the remains from last week .. lt even looked different?). It too has large amounts of fat that should have been trimmed and even so, both the fat and the meat was extremely tough as it had not apparently been cooked long enough or correctly. I make brisket and eat it others brisket .. it was not right! I also spent years in Restaurant business, so I told them they should take it off the menu until they get it right, as even their 2nd try was no good. They merely gave us a credit/ removed for a glass of wine on the bill. read more

This is good for the night that you want a bar and restaurant atmosphere. They have good food and there's a lot going on like cornhole, etc. it's a fun place. It seems good people go there and the stuff is friendly. read more

Initially, I was impressed with what a great looking place The Armory is. Mostly outdoors, some tables undercover or under big umbrellas. Perfect for those of us who are concerned about virus transmission. It's on two levels with downstairs being pick up your food and drinks and bring them back to your table. Upstairs is table service. Upper levels give some nice views of downtown Sonora. Food was simple and well done. Fish tacos were very good with a tasty tomatillo-pineapple salsa. Also split a large Caesar salad (good dressing). Steak on skewers was a little too done but the shoestring fries were very good(we got them with no garlic seasoning). Giant pretzel was fun with some grain mustard that was excellent All food is served on recyclable paper. A real energy saver. This is primarily a beer garden so, lots of choices on tap and in cans/bottles. There are also mixed drinks and some are barrel aged. Wine list is minimal but not bad. I think they could do a little better with wine selection. There are two dessert possibilities but, we had ordered too much food and had to pass. Service was friendly and pretty fast. Servers have to climb a flight of stairs to deliver your food and drinks. Our sever told us he did this maybe 100 to 200 times in a shift. Whew! Please note-there is a small elevator if you have difficulty with stairs but,you have to get someone to unlock it. We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed ourselves. We'll be coming back. read more

Just finished eating there this past weekend. The service was excellent, with the average wait time being less than 10 to 15 minutes for our meals. We were served by Emily, a wonderful witty and talented waitress who knows how to give a compliment or two :-) in addition, the drink menus were not just standard but also innovative and eclectic with one of my favorite drinks being a vanilla meal. The salad was great and the outside seating and open space was one of the more innovative and valuable experiences there as well. All in all, I would highly recommend that you take your friends and family to this establishment whenever you're in Sonora California. Definitely a five star experience! read more

Atmosphere was good, and the employees are super great, so we'll be back for a drink, but their food needs a lot of work. I believe they'll get it together, but right now the food is no bueno read more

Worst service I've ever had in my life. I came in and ordered the usual- blackberry mojito! this "bartender" made an awefull drink not like the same ones I've had before! No meddled fresh berries and Literally the grossest bottom shelf rum I've ever had! I could not drink it it was nauseating so I just watched him and other bartender ignore me for 45 mins peeling lemons and having joyful loud conversations while I was staring and hollering at them attempting to order a meal !!! So I just left. But I'm sure they'll charge me for the drink anyways! they spent the whole time talking to some old dude drinking a beer! Other pple saw me trying to order but not the bartenders other customers were like i would have left 30 mins ago! Oh yeah I was there for 50 minutes! This place has gone down the hill A LOT! How u not gonna ask for an order for 50 minutes and completely DISREGARD A customer ! Maybe they didn't like my accent or thought I was a "flatlander" or my clothes were not fancy enough ...,are all three! I actually had a friend from Columbia who refused to go there because she said they were talking down to her! used to be my favorite place where I brought all my friends but it's just an overpriced sh!th0le now! ‍ read more

Really good beer selection, and the food was pretty good too. I would stop by again, but their prices are crazy high. After tip, a sandwich, chips and a beer was $30! If they can get their prices more reasonable, it'd be my go-to place. read more

My husband and I came to Sonora for work. We walked to the Armory after hearing good referrals from friends. Lydia was our server on the outside patio and made us feel very welcome and was super attentive, PLUS, made great drinks! 10/10 would come back again! read more

The food was very delicious, the service impeccable, the mixed drinks absolutely wonderful and don't forget the delectable homemade desserts! What a wonderful atmosphere and experience! We've been here several times and are never disappointed! read more

Mediocre food and poor selection. Building was nice and there was amble parking. Horribly overpriced and caters to those out of town who don't seem to mind the higher prices. When I told the wait staff about the mediocre food options, they even agreed! read more

Food is good, prices are outrageous 26$ for a chicken Caesar salad wife got a poke bowl and we both had 1 drink came out to 100$ i don't know who they think they are charging 26$ for a bowl of lettuce with a chicken breast. read more

This is a really cool spot in Sonora. Great for a group with fire pits and a decent sized menu. The balcony offered a great view of Washington Street and fire pits too! They have a ton of taps, all solid craft brews. Something to know is that you do order at the bar for both foods and drinks before seating yourself. This seemed to create some confusion for folks. read more

I was so excited about the opening of The Armory. I went there for lunch on a weekend and was very disappointed. They have a full bar but will not make you a cocktail only if it's a premixed drink. Don't like everything was ordered from Costco and just heated up or shaken up and given to you. Staff seemed to be inconvenienced if you ask for anything. And I don't appreciate having self-serve bars to get salt and pepper, water or any condiments. I was hopeful that this would be a fun place to go hang out with my friends. What a huge disappointment. I will not be going back. read more

We tried but the kitchen closes an hour before their closing hour. Makes no sense to me to close the kitchen that soon and basically tell the public you only want their business if it is convenient. Suggestion: post your menu Suggestion: post the hours of operation including the kitchen read more

Good food. Nice beer selection. (Pliny the Elder) Nice atmosphere. Clean restrooms, tastefully decorated. Plenty of parking. Centrally located. Been here twice, will go again. You order at the bar, on ground floor. Table service offered upstairs. They have live music on weekends. read more

This place is AMAZING! They have done this historic location justice. We shared the Braised Short Rib and a Caesar Salad. It was a perfect and delicious late lunch! FYI: The short rib is available after 2 pm. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the weather was perfect for outdoor dining. Go! Enjoy! read more

Great brewery! Don't blink - you'll miss it even with their signage! Friendly bar keep! Varied beer selection. Didn't try the food- just drinkin'! Swing in for a few & a nibble! read more

Service was good , food was right out of a us foods semi truck . The biggest problem was, put a credit card on tab for lunch , paid cash and was then charged on my cc for 24 hours . No one told us this is how the armory charges people . I felt like I was checking into a Hilton rather than having lunch read more

Had our first experience at the armory today!!! Amazing is an understatement. The atmosphere is everything from the beer tap waterfall, the brick, the open concept and the fun family/date night/day drinking hot spot and everything in between. The kids had a ball playing with the blocks and climbing the rocks. The the agua Fresca with tequila was so refreshing! We had the loaded fries and chicken sandwich and they both were unreal!!!! Soo sooo good!!!! I would give this restaurant 10 stars if I could. Such an awesome new addition to Sonora! read more

The service is great! Their drinks are good as well. My wife had the Ruben which is the best I've ever had. I got the burger which was good as well but not as good as the Ruben. read more

We stopped in after attending a funeral and a long travel day. We had the dog with us and it was too hot for her to stay in the car! The patio was shaded with misters and a breeze. Our puppy was content to lie on the cool concrete! They even brought her a bowl of water! Two of us ordered shrimp tacos and one in our party ordered fish tacos. Two of us drank CaliSqueeze beers from Firestone Brewery and the other ordered Taco Truck from Dust Bowl! The toasted flour tortilla was crisp, the seafood was fresh and tasty and the toppings were plentiful and varied! All 3 of us yummed over the very delicious meal. But, then, we ordered the brownie à la mode with bourbon sauce. The brownie was soft, the ice cream vanilla bean and the bourbon sauce was the perfect salted caramel! Scrumptious!! Service was prompt. Restaurant was clean and unique! Price was on point, not expensive. Servings were hearty! We will definitely be back on our next trek into Sonora! It was a great place to relax and get a bite to eat!! And, the dog liked it too!! read more
