We decided to pay the aristocrat a visit for a quick family outing. Brian and Dj were extremely welcoming and the atmosphere was great. The establishment was extremely clean and welcoming with nice Lowkey vibes! For the most part the food was pretty good! The fish and chips were immaculate, The chicken wings were some of the best I've ever had! The shrimp ceviche was a little bit of a letdown simply because they just placed cocktail shrimp on top of a tomato onion and lime juice mixture. The drinks were pretty tasty and very pretty however they were a little on the overly sweet side. We really enjoy places that makes our entire family feel welcome and Brian definitely made us feel comfortable with Bentley! He Spent a great deal of time playing with and loving on our little man so we can focus on dinner. He also brought him a treat! We will definitely be back again!

What a super, friendly spot! We were in town for a concert at the coliseum, and our hotel was close enough to walk to the venue. So, we hunted for a spot to hang, get a bite, and that was also close enough to walk to. Yelp, of course, helped us out! We started with the sweet potatoes and spicy meatballs - which definitely brought just the right amount of heat via habanero! So delicious that we ordered a second plate. Glad we were walking, after several very, very good cocktails, glass of wine and those spicy turkey meatballs, we happily walked on to our event. The staff was very friendly and we enjoyed our time at The Aristocrat!! I'll need to make an excuse to head up again!

A unique establishment away from the vista and Main Street in a building well over a hundred years old downtown. The proprietors originate or have spent a lot of time in Austin, Texas a food town to be proud of for eating and drinking. Tried several menu items the fried avocado stood out amongst the crowd and I don't even like avocado on anything I eat but this was delicious. Sheltering from the storms after seeing Cirque Solei we stayed longer than expected the conversation was full of good cheer. Drank some Italian liquor to end my thirty's on a high note at the bar. Jazz music was played well into the evening by the band who had clearly earned their stripes meaning one member has played for over fifty years. If you want a slightly upscale experience to get away from it all come here and have a drink or two with your significant other on Friday night.

Súper cool spot for funky ambience without pretense. The food is good every time- this time got the cheese plate and artichoke spinach dip with some Sangiovese to drink.

Definitely a hidden gem. Great ambiance, amazing drinks and delicious food! Turkey meatballs had just the right amount of spice and the bacon wrapped sweet potatoes were delectable! Bread pudding rocked and I got a fresh amaretto sour, not premixed with a real cherry, not a dyed one. Will definitely return!!!

The Aristocrat is one of the best, if not THE best, cocktail bar in the city. I was surprised to find this type of bar in Columbia. They have delicious and fresh handcrafted cocktails. The bartender was very knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I loved the ambiance here. It has an Old World meets Gatsby vibe. I had "The Aristocrat" to drink which is Santa Margherita Prosecco and Pama Pomegranate Liqueur, rimmed with gold sugar and topped with a pink rock candy sucker. It is a beautiful drink, but it is more of a fancy girly drink, which is probably why I loved it so much. This drink was $12, so these cocktails aren't cheap but they are tasty!

Great bartender and nice environment for a spot so close to the city. Not the typical college bar. Great selection of whiskey

While certain items like the fries and the Brussels sprouts were great, other items like the burger and duck tacos didn't hit the mark with a burger that was too dry and overly charred and the tacos which were too gamey and could have used a some more acid. The food was pretty good overall, but my chicken salad sandwich was extremely disappointing. The croissant was very dry, and the shredded chicken combined with the consistency of the dressing was not at all what I expected. After only a couple bites, I left the entire sandwich untouched. What was even more disappointing was that when our waitress brought the bill, she clearly noticed I hadn't eaten the sandwich and chose not to ask about it. At this price point for lunch, I would have expected the situation to be handled a little differently. We sat in the covered outdoor area, which was nice, but there's also an uncovered outdoor section with older picnic tables that don't really match the vibe of a more upscale lunch spot. If you plan to sit outside, I'd recommend making your seating preference clear when booking.

When I brought it up to the manager he told me that's how they come. Having a menu item at Market Price being a roll of the dice is unacceptable to me. They did end up making it right by bringing another one that looked like the other person in my group which I appreciated. Not sure why they made me feel like I was in the wrong. Made a reservation early in the week for 8pm. I arrived at 750. I was told that tables were sitting a little late so it would be a wait of 20-30 minutes. Well that wouldn't be a problem if there was somewhere to wait. I was told I could go to the rooftop (40 degrees) or wait under the stairs (no room and a fall hazard). I asked if we could wait by the bar but was told there was a private party and we couldn't. My husband and I went to a neighboring bar and returned 15 minutes later where we then waited by bar, eventually being seated at 825. Ambiance is nice. It's cozy, good for date night. Server was amazing. She was a natural. Top tier, like she studied to be a server lol. I hate I can't remember her name. Five stars for her. Food. It was a 3/5. Go for the mussels! They are delicious. Hush puppies are pretty tasty. Main options we got were the ribeye and the quail. They both left something to be desired. It was good but it wasn't great. I didn't want to lick my plate. Something was needed and missing in both dishes. The portions are fine. I won't return to give them another chance. My advice to anyone coming for a nice date night, don't. I would stop by here, hit the bar, grab some mussels and go elsewhere for dinner. I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to trying this place. I would have given them 3 stars but the seating situation was not acceptable. Oh and don't get dessert here. They threw something together and called it an apple parfait. It tasted like air.

The only downside about my born day is the close proximity to Valentine's day. Which can sometimes make the planning around the commercialized love day tricky... especially when it comes to restaurant reservations.... Womp womp. Backstreets Grill said they could accommodate a party of 8. They were clearly busy and with our party size we could understand. Nonetheless, we had a very loonnngggg wait, which was frustrating and deflating. We waited 4x the time the young ladies initially told us upon arrival. However, once we were finally seated things started to turn around slightly. I say slightly because we were seated on the enclosed patio, with a portable heater but several people were cold. Just to think they kept asking us and others if we wanted to sit outside. (It's February @ night). Now the food: Some of the dishes were more favorable than others and I must admit all of my personal choices were great. Appetizers: -Mussels - White Wine (My Order) -Fried Oysters (I tried) -Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna -Lump Crab Dip (I tried) -Tomato Parmesan Soup (My Order) -Side House & Caesar Salads (I tried) I personally had the Mussels, which were perfect, and the tomato parmesan soup and both made you want to like the bowl. The broths were so good. I tried the fried oysters, they were also very good, but the presentation was a little messy. The Lump Crab Dip and the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna completely fell short and were not memorable at all and the side salads were sad. Entrées: -Cajun Chicken Pasta w/ Blackened Shrimp (My order) -Buffalo Chicken Pizza (I tried) -House-made Meatloaf w/ mashed potatoes & vegetables -Pork-chop w/ mashed potatoes & green beans -Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla w/ Fries -Ribeye w/ Truffle Parmesan Fries My sister and I both ordered the Cajun Chicken pasta, I added the blackened shrimp to my order, we were both extremely happy. The dish was not spicy but it was well balanced. The recipients of the Meatloaf, Buffalo Chicken Pizza and the Quesadilla were all also pleased with their dishes. The folks that ordered the ribeye and the two pork-chops were not impressed... the dishes were just ok. Our server Adrian, was pleasant, but you can tell he was very overwhelmed which sometimes didn't translate well. As the night went on we understood he was being pulled in multiple directions at once and he did good despite of it. Overall I enjoyed my celebration and experience @ Backstreets Grill. Just A Note: I notice that they can get busy so be ready to wait. Even smaller parties were forced to stretch their patience.
