What made the situation even more frustrating was the way it was handled. Even after we showed him the venue's own specifications proving the bags were permitted, he refused to acknowledge the mistake and continued to treat us disrespectfully. Rather than resolving the issue professionally, he chose to double down and create an unnecessarily hostile experience. As you can see in the images, it fits their criteria. Because of this interaction alone, I will not attend another event at this location.

You can expect items like burgers, fried shrimp, flounder bites, glazed salmon, and various salads. However, the dishes we tried were just average. Our server, Coco, provided good service! Seating can be cramped, especially on busy nights, so be prepared for limited space. The JAVA Band was fantastic! The Mike Frost band is located in Aiken, SC, but I had the pleasure of seeing them perform in Augusta at the Commons. This is the type of music that you hear in the distance and immediately start looking around for the source because there just has to be a professional recording being played. Not so! The sounds I heard as I approached the venue were live and that angelic voice was non other that Lauren Meccia the lead vocalist. Lauren is extremely talented as a vocalist and an instrumentalist as she played the soprano, tenor and alto sax. Equally talented members included Mike Frost, bassist and others that I simply cannot name. Their music combines elements of funk, rock and R&B and is what I refer to as "feel good" music. You will definitely recognize much of the music and find yourself tapping your toes, clapping and singing along. I was so impressed with this band that I found myself just mumbling throughout the performance about how unbelievable they were. I was sitting there listening but not exactly believing what I was hearing. Wow! What a gift! I am so pleased that they have chosen to remain in the local area so that I could have an opportunity to see them. I could absolutely see them on an international stage. They are that good! Lauren Meccia is not only a very talented vocalist, but an amazing saxophonist. She could've been Grover Washington Jr. when she did her spot-on rendition of Take Five. This place has multiple TVs for sports, karaoke, plenty of seating, and really good ventilation. I don't smoke, and the cigar smell didn't bother me at all. The back den area was calm, private, and had a TV. They also have VIP lockers and updated cameras, which made the place feel safe. The food and drinks were good and came out in a decent time. The owner, Desmond, took over this place four years ago and was very welcoming. We even played a game of chess and he beat me. The whole place felt friendly, almost like visiting family.
