Kid's Peanut Butter Sandwich ($9): banana normally included; taken out so my little one can get strawberry jam :)

=== 1. VERDICT/VALUE 3.5 stars. If you're coming here, you're coming for the good food and service, not the price! This review is based on breakfast only. === 2. FOOD So Marriott Elite (Gold and above) enjoy a free breakfast at this restaurant as well as free non-alcoholic drinks whenever the restaurant is open in lieu of a club/M lounge on-site. Egg White Omelette ($26): The dish to choose if you're vegetarian or looking for lighter fare: arugula, tomatoes atop egg whites, accompanied by mini potatoes. West Coast Benedict ($27): Poached egg atop smoked salmon and spinach, covered in Hollandaise sauce - it's great and well done! Accompanied by mini potatoes. Kid's Meal ($9): It's slim pickings for kids and surprisingly at breakfast, there are no options with eggs. My little guy chose a peanut butter banana sandwich, which comes with a side bowl of fruit. It's basic and alright! All beverages cost extra - $5 for milk, coffee, juice, etc. - the price of admission for any of the food isn't cheap, but it is a hotel restaurant after all! === 3. SERVICE It was great from start to finish; the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, and the kid's menu doubled as a colouring sheet (with crayons). === 4. ENVIRONMENT High ceilings and modern decor await you with windows on two sides, and a bar in the middle. There did not seem to be a lot of seating, but you could presumably bring groups of 10 or so easily if the tables were combined. Those with wheelchairs and baby strollers should have not challenges here. There is parking underground, though one must enter/exit via the ground-level gate area, which is interesting/unusual - there is no door between the parking and the hotel.

Oh my word! This spot is such a delight and pleasure for dinner and breakfast! The tables are clean and there's no table cloth to worry about. The utensils and napkin are crisp and the menus had SO MANY options! Andrew made our dinner very pleasant and friendly. Despite my state of being half asleep, the Caesar salad as devoured without a second though and those bites of pasta and grilled greens had a light garlic taste that could be adjusted according to the salt and pepper before us. And the meat was juicy, and the many textures were enjoyable and refreshing. A true delight for dinner! For breakfast, Emma was on point with her ability to handle a rowdy family with two under 10 year olds. Their children's menu is hefty and filling. Their selections are common items but with extraordinary flavors! I lived the self saucing eggs Benedict and their toasts were so nicely toasted! Thanks so much for unforgettable and comfortable meals and service!!

I had the great opportunity to dine at this restaurant since I was staying at the Westin hotel in Vancouver. The restaurant was just off the lobby with a good size seating area with a full bar. I had 4 meals there since it was such a convenient location. For dinner I had the seafood pasta and asked for garlic sauce versus a wine sauce and the chef was able to accommodate. That meal was delicious as well as the spaghetti with bolognese sauce meal that I had in an occasion. The pastas has a nice texture and the portion was perfect. I finished my meal with the apple tart dessert more than I would like to mention but it was also delicious. One morning I had breakfast there and it was a great meal. I had the pancakes with the berries and peach with the very tasty syrup which I wish I brought back to the states with me. I had a fried egg and crisp bacon. I was very pleased with my dining experience here.

Cozy and convenient restaurant right in the lobby. Came here for breakfast and was seated pretty quickly. Our server was great - very friendly and always had a smile on her face. I was quiet impressed w the breakfast food - surprised at the quality being that this was hotel food. We had the egg white veggie omelette, breakfast plate and the coconut chia w fruit for my 1 year old. Everything was tasty and exceeded my expectations. I would high recommend if you're staying in the hotel and want a bite. Cheers!!

Christmas times and end of the year parties offers lots of good food and cheers with friends and family. Its good to get some "down time" before New Year's Eve party, came to Apron for a late late lunch. Marc our server on duty that afternoon, welcomed us from the very start with his great personality. After we ordered our drinks, we decided to get something light to share: Apron's Cobb Salad; fresh greens, avocados, heirloom cherry tomatoes, grilled salmon, onsen eggs. Creamy Blue Cheese dressing, all matched perfectly to create a light but fulfilling lunch or dinner item. B-Sea Club Sandwich; fillet of salmon, lettuce, tomatoes, crisp bacon, mayonnaise and toasted sour dough bread. A great alternative to your standard Club. Just to be greedy we also ordered an appetizer BBQ Ribs; slow cooked with a tangy BBQ sauce, meat falls off the bones and still moist and succulent. Small dinning room makes a great place to wind down with a cocktail or a glass of wine. This is the only restaurant within this hotel, and rightly so, it provides just the right atmosphere for a smart casual business clientele or travellers on route to their destinations.

4 stars for DINNER ONLY (breakfast is at the end) My group could not check into our AirBnB until the next day so we all met up at Westin Wall Centre for the night. First thought an airport hotel/restaurant should I expect a lot? Let's start with service, everyone was VERY professional and helped one another (which should be the way but often not the case in a lot of places) chatting with the bartender we learned that a lot of locals would come there and after this dinner I can see why! Calamari was very nice lightly fried with a sauce that gave it a nice zing. My entree I believe was called like a Jadori chicken ( I forgot the name) great pieces of chicken and vegetables complimenting each other nicely. A great dinner and experience! 2 STAR breakfast the next morning. Obviously same ambiance and consistent service, I will say the espresso was fantastic! Omelette was not overcooked which was nice and a heaping pile of potatoes that quite frankly tasted like a combination of a Holliday Inn buffet or bagged potatoes at the grocery store (maybe it's the same thing) everything besides the espresso was just EH. So glad we ate dinner because breakfast was a solid 2 stars.

It was my friend's birthday and she picked this restaurant for breakfast. The restaurant is located in the Westin Wall Centre. I called the restaurant but no one picked up the phone. I was trying to check if there was complimentary parking but ended up paying $4.50 for an hour of parking. Once seated at the restaurant, I looked at the menu and pancakes were not available. I ordered orange juice and the wall centre breakfast which included eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes. I found the breakfast menu to be a tad underwhelming. Their lunch and dinner menu looked better. My meal tasted good for what it was. Potato and bacon were crispy. Egg tasted great. I can taste the quality when it is a free range egg. Toast was just toast with a side of whipped butter. It was nice they added half a tomato there. Service was good. Our server check in a number of times. Covid precautions were in place. Staff wore face masks and there was hand sanitizers available. They also took down our information for contact tracing purposes.

First the service is amazing, the ambiance was relaxing with light piano music and the food was spectacular. The Chocolate lava cake was a pleasant surprise. I'd have more but...

To be honest, I didn't even know Richmond had French restaurants until my friend recommended The Apron to me and we were pleasantly surprised by the great food and excellent service! Though quite small, the restaurant is quite comfortable, open and bright. The atmosphere is very cheery and bright, so it's definitely a place where you can bring your entire family. There are some higher end dishes on the menu such as Halibut, but you can also order a burger and fries for the kids! Many of the dishes had an Asian fusion flare, which was executed very well. For dessert, we had an extremely interesting decomposed rocky road cake, which was definitely eye candy! We also enjoyed the piping hot bread that tasted like it had just been taken out of the oven. The bread was seriously delicious when dipped into the curry broth that came with the halibut! The Apron might be one of the best "fine dine" restaurants in Richmond.

Setting: The setting is in the Western Hotel in richmond, the restaurant is very clean, with a great selection for a bar theres even a patio. Service: The Service was great, staff were super friendly. Food: The food was good - but a bit on the expensive side, so in my opinion not worth it for your dollar. Tip to you: Do not add anything to your eggs, without asking the price. I wanted to add mushrooms to my frittata and paid an additional 4$

This is a very small restaurant/lounge inside the Westin Hotel in Richmond, BC. I tired the Halibut for dinner and it tasted good. My friend ordered the Lamb Shank.

came here for fri night dinner as a friend told me about this place tucked away near the lobby of the westin wall centre in richmond. dont think many people know about this hotel here as well as the bistro-like restaurant that they have serving west coast cuisine... ordered the west coast salmon with quinoa, the seafood linguini, and a kids mac n cheese... service was awesome. server was attentive and smiling all the way and made sure we were taken care of. meal started with crusty warm , freshly baked bread and real butter. it was so good that my son even asked where can we buy such bread for home. lol. salmon was cooked perfectly with a nice char on the outside but smoky and moist fish on the inside. large portion on top of a quinoa salad bordered my mayonnaise...gave the salad a creamy texture.. next the seafood linguini...came with a couple of shrimps, scallops, and some clams...shrimps were cooked perfectly, pasta was good as well, the scallops were not fresh but frozen as they did not flake off when sliced. was a bit cold in the center but outside had a good charring. the clams were the worst in my opinion...they had an after taste that i didnt like. i was expecting an upset stomach after the meal but luckily didnt happen. lol. the white wine sauce was rich and aromatic...perfect for the warm table bread. the kids mac n cheese was one of the worst ones we've had hands down. it was at least a day old and heated up in the microwave just before serving. the cheese was not fresh and got hard after a few minutes. pasta was not al dente but a bit tougher than usual... my son who is big fan of mac n cheese did not even finish t. lol. was kinda expecting a better food experience coming from a westin hotel property but was disappointed!! tip: there is free parking in the parkade. dont just go and pay and expect to be reimbursed. park close to the entrance of the lobby as if checking -in...register your car st front desk, they will give you a pass for the dashboard then proceed to parkade. free apples and lemon water in the lobby! happy eating!

Ocean Wise red snapper on bed of colourful flavours and textures
    Cecilia W.

Delicious food with good feels! The Apron is at the Westin Wall Centre in Richmond, BC. Helpful staff Marc helped us navigate the menu and Chef Earnest came out to say hello with our starters. Flavourful food perfectly prepared to be delicious, beautiful and leave you feeling great with Oceanwise seafood, Mealshare goodness and SuperFoodsRx super powers. The Cobb salad starter was colourful, tasty and large enough to share. The Haida Gwaii halibut was pan-seared crisp on the outside and flaky tender on the inside. The red snapper married well with the smokey cream corn. Should have left room for dessert!

I've been seeing a lot of social media coverage and print ads (in Vancouver Magazine) for House of…read moreDawn, so I was very happy that a friend suggested we go here during Dine Out Vancouver. Parking in the main parking lot gets quite busy, but our friends pointed out that the upstairs parking lot is near empty. I've visited this plaza so many times for decades, and I never knew there was upper level parking! Upon entering, this place is designed to look pretty nice, but somehow the layout seemed non optimal. Some of the larger booth furniture looked to be squeezed in making for unnatural walking path to get around. Since we already knew what was on Dine Out menu, we ordered fairly quickly. Here are my thoughts on the food: - Wagyu Tartare: OK. It tasted pretty good. The tartare did look more brown then red, so I wasn't sure how fresh it was. Some of the chips were a bit stale. - Denver Steak: OK. Steak itself was pretty good - tender, but a bit chewy, but that's characteristic of the cut. Sauce was good. The single piece of broccoli and mashed potatoes seemed like an after thought. - Risotto: Good. Flavours were there. Just hard to imagine this is the same value as the Denver Steak. - Creme Brulee: Average. Fairly standard flavour, and decent preparation. Nothing outstanding about it. Service was nice enough, but not the most polished or communicative. He was clearly still on the learning curve on fine-dining service and expectations. Overall, I'm glad I tried it, but the whole experience did not hit the mark for me. I felt there was a definite vision to make a great steakhouse - it had the elements of great look and great looking menu. But then it fell short on execution - service was not impressive and dishes were not the best quality (despite the high price tag). Sometimes Dine-Out menus dilute the overall quality and maybe that happened here. I don't feel a need to return.

It's located in a plaza so there is parking available. Overall I enjoyed the experience here but would only come back if someone really wanted to go. A nice bonus they gave us was 20% of our bill back on a gift card. Staff: 3/5 Sanitation: 5/5 Bread service (4/5) The bread was good and the miso butter complimented it. It was warm so that was nice. Green salad (3/5) The dressing for this salad was a bit too much on the sour/tart side. It had some candied nuts and the leaf variety was nice but nothing to write home about. Crab cake (4/5) The crab cake was good, you could taste the crab meat inside although there weren't any chunks of meat. It was served alongside salad and a yuzu sauce. Jamón (3/5) This dish was okay to me, I wish it was more of just the jamón but came with of accompaniments. It had a pretty nutty flavor to the jamón but it all stuck together which made it harder to eat. Seared foie gras (4/5) This was a really excellent pairing. I would say the foie gras was on the smaller side and got outsized by the giant piece of bread it was on. The pairing of the jam on it was really good though in terms of flavor. Ultimate burger (5/5) The burger was done well here and one of my tables favorite. It featured some bbq brisket as well as a thicker cut bacon. The combinations of flavors were really good here and I would order this again. It is really meat heavy from the patty, bacon and brisket but if you're into that you'll enjoy this. Bolognese (3/5) The noodles were cooked okay and there was an ample amount of meat sauce. The burrata definitely complimented the pasta but nothing special here. Ribeye center cut (3/5) The steak was cooked okay, it came out on a hot sizzling plate but I felt like it lacked some seasoning on the steak itself. We ordered it with the Demi sauce and it definitely gave it more flavor. We got 1 side and did the sautéed mushrooms which were really nice in terms of flavor and variety. Hojicha Basque Cheesecake (5/5) This was really good, combined with the salted caramel ice cream and the graham cracker like dust made for a good bite. It wasn't too sweet but could be a lot if you're not used to eating heavier desserts. You could taste the hojicha well throughout the cheesecake.

Unfortunately, this one didn't quite measure up. The overall experience felt a bit underwhelming. The space itself could definitely use some TLC -- the furniture looked worn and dated, and it gave off more of a tired, well-used vibe rather than a relaxing pre-flight retreat. One of the bigger misses for me was the lack of accessible power outlets, which is something you really come to rely on when traveling. That said, it wasn't a terrible stop -- just not quite what I've come to expect from premium lounge experiences (as its name would imply). With a refresh and a few updates, it could easily be brought back up to par. For now, it's serviceable, but not somewhere I'd go out of my way to revisit.

I saw one that looked like a little cafe and there was no chance I was going to waste it there. After walking a bit I stumbled upon this one, walked a little further and didn't see another one so came here to kill a little bit of time. When I went to check in, I was told that I couldn't be here for more than 2 hours. I don't ever recall being told this in Asia at the Plaza lounges but that was fine. I checked in, took the elevator up and looked around. The area is actually pretty spacious but it's not obvious as there are a few different areas. The thing is, I think there was more people upstairs than there was areas to sit. I went to get a coffee and checked out what they were serving. They were serving breakfast but they were transitioning to lunch so I waited a little longer as the eggs, bacon and other items didn't look that great. When they rolled over the food items, I grabbed a plate of a few lunch items to sample. I had to walk around the area 2 or 3 times to finally find an open seat. I sat down and tried the plate I just put together. It was OK, nothing really stood out from it. They also offered some free drinks. I didn't really pay to much attention to it as I was satisfied with my coffee. There were a few TVs and there was a nice view overlooking the airport. The lounge looks a bit well used as some of the items look like it could use a refresh. Not the worst lounge but definitely nowhere as nice as some of the ones I've been to in the last couple of years.
