The past week I have visited twice, since their outdoor remodel is completing, and they have new food trucks becoming part of the team. I am so excited for the changes that have been made and the new food trucks joining the absolutely fabulous El Sancho truck. As for the brews, Crux always has a selection of great IPAs, they also have some innovative brews, such as Bochi Bochi, a rice lager, and (though not often) make truly spectacular ambers and browns. Do yourself a favor and drop by for a pint and/or a meal, you will be glad you did.

Serves food and also may have a food truck open. Our last visit we enjoyed the bowl of chili and Caesar salad was all A-OK. The staff was helpful even when busy. Interesting to note, it's like all the beer drinker mt bike folks that used to all come here years ago just happened to grow up and have kids at once, so now it definitely has a very kids playground scene, but I still think it's cool here. (Just go inside to avoid the mayhem. lol!) It's sweet that they create a fun environment outside there. A suggestion maybe would be create a small section outside. that's a no kid table for sunshine and drinking too. ;) it looks like they're making good use of their space. I noticed many changes since the last visit. Looks like they have a party room you could rent, lots of fun well designed swag for purchase, ect. Crux will be always be on my brewery list for Bend, I will perhaps just avoid peak weekend hours. Cheers!

Not a review writer but I felt this was important if you are passing through town and searching for…read morea spot. Absolutely loved the beer and lawn seating vibe. Great view of the river, well spaced out seating. Lots of picnic tables for big groups. Where it turned was the very unfriendly bar staff and honestly the inedible food. I went to order 2 more beers for my hubs and I, and the chilequiles starter and bartender/staff where you order did not try to upsale me to add chicken in which I definitely would have because they were so boring and bland! She then said is that it? In a very annoyed manner. Not is that all for now? Or even somewhat attempting to be friendly. It caught me so off guard! I took a second to glance around behind the bar and the entire energy was like they were annoyed at having to do their job. Ewww She then turned the screen to tap my card (it's getting offensive to ask for a 15-25% tip for pouring 2 beers or making a coffee- I'm a nurse and I don't get tipped every time I answer a call light) so I hit costume tip, added a $1 and I swear she looked up and mean mugged me. My husband went back up later to order burgers (I sure wasn't going!lol) and we shared the wagyu bacon burger and I literally could not take more than 2 bites because it was soooo salty. And this is 2 beers in, my palate was probably dulling). Like someone literally accidentally spilled the entire salt jar on the burger. I tried to pick off the pickle to eat that and even that just tasted so off and salty. I would definitely go back to have beers and vibe but not to eat and I'd probably make my hubs order the beers so I don't chance getting mean mugged by the staff

Ordered a burger that was okay and brussel sprouts that I wish were crispier. Overall, there wasn't much to write home about but I still liked the vibe and location a lot, so I would go back because of that

UPP Liquids and is owned and run by an epic list of brewers and beer people that got their starts at other places nearby. In their first year open, they've already been making a name for themselves with beers winning medals and the brewery itself being chosen as one of the best in the USA. It's located in Bend, near the highway and many other restaurants and shops, perfect to add to a walk. It's the former spot of another brewery and has a similar feel with some changes. They have an event space with its own bar, and a pinball machine collection. They have bar, table, and outdoor seating too. The bartenders were funny and very welcoming. The beer is excellent and worth stopping for a few flights or pints. They also have an incredible deal for full pours on certain days. Prices super reasonable for the quality. If you're a beer fan, I highly recommend this brewery.

The service was so disorganized and it wasn't overly busy. Second, the beer was just okay. Not bad but not great and it didn't make me want to order another.

The venue was small but perfect for the DIY punk/metal bands playing. We were also very impressed at how quickly each band was able setup and breakdown, so no long waits in between bands. It was obvious the organizers knew what they were doing. The venue had a small bar inside so you didn't have to go to the main building to grab a drink. Outside, between the two buildings there were nice seating areas alongside fire pits and access to multiple food trucks. There was even a third stage in the outside area that must be used in warmer weather. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back!

The beer is good and they even have some liquor for cocktails, and a few N/A options as well. I've never had a bad time here.

So on our last trip to Bend we finally made it here to the their taproom and it didn't disappoint at all. It was a great stop! We got a taster set of a variety of different beers that they had on tap and they were all quite good. Many of them have a wild ale aspect to them which I can appreciate at you don't come across this beer too much on a routine basis. The taproom is cool and I love all of their art specifically where fermentation liquids spilled onto a sheet or a cloth making various designs and hues during the brewing making process of their beers. Other excellent beers that we have had from this brewery are the Samalie which is a Wild Ale. This one I rated very highly on Untappd because it was so amazing! Things to look for in the flavor profile are sourness, tartness, fruitiness, a natural sweetness and a dry finish. Really an excellent beer! Moving on from that we had the great Ping Pong Table Beer. This was another beer I rated quite highly and enjoyed immensely. This beer is light bodies, smooth and effervescent with the flavor of elderflower at work. Another excellent beer! Definitely great beer experiences with this brewery and definitely recommend it to the more adventurous beer drinking folks. There are plenty of breweries to try out in Bend and if you are looking for something on the more unusual side The Ale Apothecary is a great place for such a thing!
