The interior of this place is incredible, such a cute spot with moody lighting, intimate seating,…read moreand vibey music. It's a great place for drinks and appetizers. The drinks were good, and they also have a solid selection of beer on tap. The food portion are a bit small imo but I will say the Mac and cheese was pretty darn tasty!

It's a really cozy moody interior, with *no big lights* aka great low lighting and comfy seating options. When we went, there were just a few other parties there so pretty quiet. I liked that we had a whole corner to ourselves with a sectional couch of sorts and some chairs. They close at 10pm on a Friday night, which felt absurdly early for a cocktail bar. But, we were able to order and drink one drink during the ~45 minutes we had. They closed up shop promptly at 10pm. They had a classics and a "rumors" section of the menu. I didn't think the signature drinks were overly unique, with classics like Paper Plane making that menu side. I had a pomegranate mojito which was good! Consensus was that the cocktails were good not exceptional, especially for the $16-17 price point. We ordered churros for the table which were a table favorite! I wouldn't go out of my way to come here again, but we enjoyed our time and could see this being a good option if you lived in the neighborhood and don't mind the early close hours.

Adding a new review since the new location and menu is pretty different…read more Let's start with the pizza since that's new. First, I'm obsessed with their CRUST! I am so often disappointed by pizza crust - but this one keeps me coming back for more! As a huge bonus, it's freshly milled organic wheat, so it's way healthier than your average crust and it tastes way better in my opinion. The sausage pizza and the dessert pizza are top-tier; each bite reminds me how much I love it. We didn't love the hot honey as much, there just really wasn't enough hot honey on it. Their drink menu got a lot smaller, but the drinks that are on it are delicious (at least of the ones we had). Huge props to Loon for also including some mocktails and NA options. So even though the pepperoni pizza didn't blow us away and I'm bummed at the limited cocktail options, I'm still giving it 5 stars because their sausage and dessert pizzas are easily my favorite pizza nearby. The staff has also been great as well.

I hate pesto, so I didn't like that one, but the other two were fantastic. Staff was incredibly welcoming and provided us with tons of information about the place. Drinks were good, kids had root beer mocktails and they liked them! Space is very cool, and with an interesting history. Highly reccommend.

Fantastic concept all around! Located just 45-minutes from the Twin Cities, Nordic Harbor is a gem…read moreof a find offering overnight rooms, a market, rooftop patio and even pontoon rentals. My very first visit here was for Mother's Day when my mom suggested we check out the market and rooftop patio. I am so glad we did because I was instantly hooked by the entire experience from the cleanliness to overall transformation from a former beat down motel into a luxurious space. The market contains gelato, espresso drinks, cases of drinks from boozy to normal, Nordic Harbor apparel, frozen pizzas, little snacks such as cheese and meats and an opportunity to make your own charcuterie board. Think of the market as your home base or check in if you plan on renting a room. There is also a very nice bathroom in here. My favorite part? The intimacy. Nordic Harbor isn't trying to be the loudest, most overpopulated spot on the lake, rather, everything is crafted with intention and the Nordic theme of cozy and quiet in mind. I came back for Memorial Day weekend and did a 1-night overnight with a full 8-hour pontoon rental and everything was seamless. I booked every component of this trip online and it was even given a personalized call from the owner, Nic, when I had a few lingering questions. A special code will be provided via email to access your room on the lockbox as opposed to a key. Each room amplifies the Nordic "Hygee" concept mentioned above which includes a quaint space with no clutter. The room even comes with a binder book that helps describe the room layout with the goal of keeping clutter out. I appreciated the slippers, eye masks, Nespresso machines, dish wear, patio, coffee mugs, electric fire pit and quiet hours. Additionally, the entire bathroom was a vibe from the heated floors to the LED mirror to the hanging eucalyptus to the luxurious shower head and shower spray with full products available to use. This has been my favorite shower to date!! The market, outdoor patio and pontoon rentals are open to the public so there is a good chance that people you encounter might not necessarily be spending time overnight and that is the beautiful thing about this place! Our pontoon rental was seamless - zero issues. We had great assistance learning the ropes of the boat and then it was all very independent once the keys were given which we appreciated. Needless to say, I will be returning again for sure. Thank you, Nordic Harbor!

There's really no redeeming value to be associated with this place other than it being a cool place to have a beer during the hot summer months. And downright freezing during the winter! Me finding myself tethered to John (a local gadabout) who drags me to a seemingly endless line of beverage intakes of an alcohol nature, and I not being use to the effects of cold and ice. The ice in the parking lot can be treacherous, and the inside is like aging beef in cold storage! Ahhh but that only adds to its charm. Tie that in with the warm hearts sharing the bar and it makes for a memorable experience. But not one that I would frequent on a daily basis. I heard stories about there being caves associated with Nova. Who knows, maybe someday John will get me an invite to explore and I'll come across Injun' Joe just like Tom Sawyer. My luck though it'll be a rabid bat I find. A memory ever associated with the bowels of the dive which is Nova. Honestly speaking, I had fun at Nova, cold and all. We would have stayed longer but alas, a dinner engagement loomed which would provide us the opportunity to indulge once more, and more importantly, thaw out! Quick Tip: After you've had your fill at Nova you can walk down to the corner for ice cream at the Dairy Queen. You'll find that novelty warmer than what you had to endure at Hudsons finest dive.
