I've been here a few times and the food is always on point! I recently got the Smoked Tri-Tip Sandwich. The sandwich had great flavor. The side of chips were seasoned perfectly and paired well with the side of beans. My dad got the Smoked Polish Sausage Sandwich, German style, and loved it! All of the food coming out of the kitchen looked great. They have so many beers on tap, lots from MN breweries which is awesome! I opted for the Bloody Mary and it was delicious! The restaurant has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Parking isn't bad- there is street parking out front and an additional lot across the street. The one downside is the that the last few times I've come service has been slow ... great but slow. You can tell the staff works hard but could function better with an additional staff member or two. Our group was in town for a wedding that weekend and came here on a Sunday at 11 AM hoping for brunch (based on their website). Upon arriving, they said that they no longer served brunch. I personally was going to go with a burger no matter what, so wasn't terribly disappointed, but I know a few people from my group were sad. The vibe of the dining room was fairly chill, they had TV's playing various football games and it was spacious and clean inside. It did take more than 30 minutes for the food to come out after ordering which seemed pretty long especially since it wasn't terribly busy. Once the food came out, it did taste good so can't complain about that. Waited a long time before anyone acknowledge that we were there. Sat at the bar because the restaurant was full. Took forever for a bartender to take our order. But once we got our drinks she took our food order immediately. I recommend the broasted chicken to my friend who was visiting. I have had it several times and it is amazing. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch! We had our pup with us so they put us at a table out back by the bridge. The back patio was a lil crooked and we had to move to get out of the rain, but overall it was a great place to grab a bite if you have a dog with you. The host was the best! She was so sweet and very accommodating. We ordered the chicken cedar wrap and the breasted chicken wings. Both were good! The wings were super unique - I think there was maybe a corn flake coating? We visited for a weekday lunch. The weather was lovely so we sat out on the patio, which was great, though the occasional train comes by at full speed, horn blaring, and can make talk difficult for a few minutes. We ordered drinks and a cheese curds appetizer; the curds were still MIA when our main meals came out, but our server realized this and promptly brought them out with apologies. I have to say, the cheese curds were amazing--the beer batter gives the coating a nice light crispness. I ordered the nuts and berries salad. The toppings were nice and generous, but that also included a lot of finely-chopped celery, which I am not fond of, so I wouldn't get this salad again; it was otherwise good, though, and by no means discourages me from returning. The breadstick that came with the salad was awesome and had a core of molten cheese, which makes everything better. My husband had a burger, which he really liked. Everyone in our party enjoyed the meals they chose. Our server was very good. I like when they tell you what are good (and bad) choices. My husband and I were having a romantic getaway to Red Wing for Valentine's Day but didn't think to make dinner reservations until the last minute, so we ended up here. Not really ideal for romance, but if you're looking for a beer and a burger, this is a good place. Typical sports bar- style place, with a good beer menu and decent food menu. Ordered the halibut, which I was happy to see was offered Grilled as well as fried; hubby ordered a California Burger with bacon and cheese, and we got the deep fried dill pickles for an app. The deep fried pickles were a generous portion, with crispy batter. My halibut was a bit over cooked and dry, but tasted pretty good. Husband's burger was tasty, however for a California, it was lacking in lettuce and tomato, with one slice of tomato and a sparse sprinkling of shredded lettuce. Service was tepid until about halfway through the meal, but it was somewhat busy. I appreciated that she remembered I had asked for lemons with my soda when she brought a refill, though. As busy as this place is on a Sunday at lunchtime, I had high hopes. It was all downhill from there - bad food & worse service. We waited over 20 minutes to order. A member of my party noticed a big fly on the bottom of his water after drinking it. Probably safe to assume that it was in the ice. After bringing this to the attention of a passing waitress, he received a new water and nothing else was mentioned until I brought it up to our server while sending my burger back. The only thing she said in relation to the fly and my dried out brisket burger with an overly toasted bun that was missing 1/2 of the top portion was "that's not my fault." No apologies, no manager. It was my first time to Minnesota, and they're not kidding when they say "Minnesota Nice"! The cheese curds were OMG. Can I have those shipped home? Service is extremely poor, restaurant was not overly busy but our waitress forgot about us on one of the patios. She got us our drinks took our appetizer orders. Then we sat there with our menus.... no refills, no appetizers and no order taking of our food for over an hour and a half. My daughter went to ask about it politely and she told her she forgot all about us. No apologies, She then took our orders, 15 minutes later our appetizers were thrown down on the table by her and another server. Then 5 minutes later the other server brought us our food. We never saw her again or anyone for that matter for an hour and 10 minutes, so no refills or asking if we needed anything else, until she dropped the check off. She was probably embarrassed that she forgot us? We were not rude one bit quite the opposite being a party of 8 we gave her patience and grace. I went mid day and it was very busy but it had calmed down a little by the time we left. The servers were definitely stressed but still very nice and attentive. It is fairly typical bar food and a reasonable price. I didn't get to try any of their smoked meats but I definitely will next time to see if that helps raise them above other bars.
