Not a bad spot for takeout fried chicken and sides. The service was pleasant and the setting is very casual

I like this restaurant we don't have a lot of options in the city, but if you're looking for something that's fast and seems a little healthier than McDonald's this is definitely where you should go. I love their Dino nuggets. read more

One of the worst fast food places I have ever been to. Bad food, high prices. French fries were $3.79. Bun on burger was hard like it had been sitting out. Quality of the burger similar to a bad gas station deli burger I would never recommend this place to anyone read more

Love the dirty sodas addition and I have found the food and ingredients to be very good.

Food is fair to good. Definitely has gone down hill over the years. Service is ok. On a positive note the owner does a very good job with the catering end. Amazing how she produces very good & hot food in a large quantity. Just wish that same attention was given to dine in and drive thru. read more

We catered Randy's breasted chicken dinners for my rehearsal dinner in August and have been back several times. Their chicken is always phenomenal and their sides are generous too! Their servers have consistently been friendly and attentive and take great care of us. We've enjoyed every visit and will be back! read more

It's a great greasy spoon that we grabbed a quick brunch at before heading out of Red Wing. Their breakfast sandwiches are served a la carte, and was just enough for what I was hungry for. read more

Randys Restaurant - a menu and a book - American Near Me - Red Wing, Minnesota

Stopped in for lunch. Services is good. The sandwich I ordered toasted the bread was toasted. The meat was cold. There was a pile of meat in the middle of the sandwich and that was it. The lettuce tomatoes were on one side of the sandwich in a pile, the sandwich is fries good But they could really send the sandwich maker to Subway to learn how to make a sandwich read more

The food is just ok but expensive. Stay away from the kids chicken nugget meal, you get a whole 4 tiny nuggets. The cheese curds are a TINY portion for the price. The trump card is the service is terrible. The counter people just look at you like you're an inconvenience and don't even say hello or thank you. When they bring your food they just set it down and don't even acknowledge you even when you thank them. I guess you can get away with this when you've dlbeen around as long as them and have the older generation regular crowd. read more

The oriental chicken wrap is the best. We get it every Friday for lunch and sometimes throughout the week when we don't want to cook. Everything we have had is good. We usually go through the drive through and it's always quick. read more

Great food at reasonable prices. Ordered some box lunches for my crew and it was a big hit. Came back and ordered again. Highly recommend. read more

The food there was very delicious it was expensive and I got my food very quick! And it was definitely worth the price because the food was phenomenal..!! read more

There is not a better place in Red Wing MN to get a good meal! This is the second time eating at this restaurant, and it has not disappointed me! When you come here, order the chicken and make sure it's hot. The hamburgers are real meat. You can have sweet potato fries or regular fries. I don't care too much for the whole wheat bun. The people are friendly, and the place is clean. If you are in search for a salad, then here is the place to go! They have a Salad bar, one visit only, and it will fill you up. They also have ice cream and cookies and other sweets. The menu is vast i'm kind of glad I did not order their Alfredo because I saw it on another ladies plate and it was watery. It was not sticking to the noodles so I dodged a bullet. Nice workers with a smile. What a change! The first time I went there, there was a older lady taking our order, and she was like throwing things, slamming thing on the counter and I thought it was because "US", I didn't say anything I just watched and come to find out she did it to everybody! So don't take it personal! So if you get up in the mountains, come visit this place, it will satisfy you. ***Did i mention the CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!!!!*** Please save me some!!! read more

Greasy, overpriced, burger and chicken. Salad bar was okay. They only have dry crumbly gluten free sliced bread, not buns, for the greasy hamburger. French fries & chicken were greasy. Baked beans were just canned, not special. Reminded me of the old greasy spoon diners of the 1950's. Which was not a bad thing. Loved the city of Red Wing. read more

Love the salad bar and all the different foods I've ordered before. It is not upscale dinning but it is affordable and good quality and always very clean! Recommend! read more

Was in town for work for two weeks and was looking for a good place to eat lunch. Saw Randy's and figured I'd give it a shot. I am glad I did. The tall guy at the register recommended the mashed potatoes with the chicken dinner and said their ranch was the best. He wasn't lying that ranch was awesome! Nice, quiet and at home feel in the interior. Will be back if I'm ever in Redwing again!! read more

This place if filthy and very disgusting. Five staff all joking and talking while tables had food smears and not wiped down, windows looked like they had not been cleaned in years, salad bar had crusted food all around it and there was literally poop on toilet seat and floor of womens bathroom. Food doid not look very good and with how dirty place was we ended up tossing it and going somewhere else. Any place in Red Wing, would have to better than this place. read more

Been going here all my life, delicious! I was shorted by one dino nugget this time (I ordered 7, got 6) and I was already home, so I figured it would be ridiculous to go all the way back for one nugget. So I called them and they decided to give me a $5 gift card for my troubles. Very kind on the phone. Will be coming again! read more

" Chicken Chipotle Burrito Was So So " We went to Randy's Restaurant to try a Chicken Chipotle Burrito. SO people who live in Red Wing said it was the BOMB ! Well we are from San Diego where we have a Mexican Restaurant on every corner, so we wanted to see how the Burrito tasted. It was So So, not that good. Randy's began as a drive-up restaurant in February 1969. The menu began with just burgers, fries, and chicken. The menu has now been increased to include a full breakfast menu, sandwiches, a salad bar, wraps, melts, and a ton of catering. Maybe they should stick with the menu they started with ? read more

Food is not good. Staff is ok, but dont seem the friendliest. Its nice that they are family owned.

Best food , great prices! Super friendly services and happy people. Then after breakfast, lunch or supper go for a walk around the beautiful town read more

Meh! Went here for dinner & wasnt impressed. Service was good & food arrived promptly but I asked the unsmiling blond kid @ the counter for a receipt & never got one. Old people were here which always mean cheap or good or sometimes both. I ordered the fried chicken which was quite good but my dining companion orders the exact same 3 piece dinner and gets these 3 hunking chicken breasts, and I get 2 small chicken legs & a thigh! WTF!? Mashed potatoes tasted ordinary, beans tasted canned. All in all Im less than thrilled. Probably more of a brkfast place, but I give 3 stars for good chicken. Unlikely Ill return. read more

I am giving Randy's a 4 due to quality of my meal and most especially the speed of service. I'd never been there before. I thought it was a sit down and get waited on type of restaurant but it turns out that it is counter service and you seat yourself like at a fast food restaurant. The menu has many more options than a fast food restaurant. I had the chicken dinner and it was quite good, included bread roll, mashed potatoes, arrived very quickly despite that they were very busy and had a line of cars at the drive through. Looks like they are very popular with the locals. I would have given it a 5 except the decor was quite outdated. read more

Why do people eat food from Kwik Trip or McDonald's? It's a legitimate question. Because they can't spare the 15 minutes it takes to get your food to go--even through the drive through--at Randys. Or more. For decades Randys had food prepared and ready to go when a customer ordered. Breakfast sandwiches, lunch, etc. Now 9 times out of 10 you will be waiting a long time for your food. People who only get a half hour for lunch now go to Kwik Trip or McDonalds. read more

While Red Wing is a small town there are limited options for places to get fried chicken to go. Randy's has a variety of food options at a reasonable price, prompt service and everything is always fresh. We usually get their 4pc chicken tenders (for price comparison for us it's a little better than bone-in) combo for ~$10 which is enough for two people to split for dinner. I don't go here often but have never been disappointed! read more

We discovered this restaurant on our road trip...and we were so happy with our discovery. I'm including a photo of my chicken tenders dinner (which was delicious) and included chicken strips, baked beans, French fries, and a roll. My daughter ordered her hamburger on gluten-free bread (nice to have that option). Definitely on our list of repeats when we travel to Red Wing. read more

$4 for a hamburger...no fries, no pop...just a burger...no lettuce, no tomato, no better than McDonalds...twice the price

Great place to eat, wide variety of choices. Everything tastes great, friendly staff, I will be back

Randys has been in red wing forever so I thought I should try it. It is set up like a culvers in the way you order at the counter, go sit down, and then when the food is ready they bring it to you. The menu is large and varied. Chicken,Burgers and a LOT more. I had the Hot Turkey Sandwich. It was so incredibly good!!!! If I had any complaint about it that would be it was to small. Cant wait to try this place again next time I am in red wing. It is not perfect but I totally recommend trying randys for a local fast and yummy place to eat. read more

We stopped here while on a business trip. When we got there one of the older employees was scolding one of the youngest ones at the counter in front of guests which is kind of awkward. Food was good, we got burgers, onion rings and fried chicken. My friend also got the salad bar, which didn't look very clean. The floors and bathroom weren't very clean looking either. read more

Randy's is over rated by some of the locals. Just not this one! I hear people brag about the chicken. My experience with chicken on three separate occasions was bad. I found it to be dried out and without taste every time. I have tried the breakfasts and they are very reasonable and good enough to eat. Why did I try the chicken three times? I like to give a place the chance. This place just doesn't deserve high ratings for average to poor chicken when it's known for it's chicken. My overall experience of this place is disappointing and not worth the money. read more

Morning weekday server gal. HOW DOES SHE KEEP HER JOB? Stone faced, will stand there looking at you from behind the counter waiting for you to say something. Unreal. Quick Trip serves cheap sausage muffins now. You're in and out in three minutes. I'm sorry that skinny woman has a bad job but I usually just don't stop when I think she'll be working. Sorry. read more

Was there years ago, chicken and mashed potatoes w gravy were good, but overrated...stopped in early afternoon a few days ago, had soup and salad bar....salad bar was not refreshed from lunch (the worst pickled beets ive ever had, but awesome blue cheese dressing), and the two soups we had, chicken dumpling and bean and ham, were absolutely two of the worst tasting soups we've ever had! For $7,19, we'll go elsewhere...and the counter help was either stupid or really that uncaring read more

after years of going to Randys because Hager Heights wads closed the chicken was the worst I have ever eaten from there. the pepper after taste killed everything. it just tasted off the secret blends of terrible tasting after taste im thinking was to be interpreted as spicy hot. wasn't ordered hot or spicy chicken and my guess who ever cooked the chicken was done wrong but even the baked beans out of the can were very runny sorry Randys. bad day or new employees. either way. not good read more

Meh. With family and was exploring town getting away from Minneapolis, thought would be nice to try what seemed like a hometown place. It's like a Hardee's when you order, they bring your food to your table. Brought the burgers right away but forgot the fries. Didn't see any options to order a combo meal but had to order burger fries and small drink separately. For one meal it was $10 for the add ons. The chicken tenders are huge but only one piece comes wit the kids meal. Burger was ok. Wouldn't return here. The prices aren't worth the quality of food. read more

I use to come here all the time but the last few times I have ordered the chicken tenders my tenders have been burnt. If it was once or twice I wouldn't have taken the time to right this review because I know it can be very demanding in the kitchen but it has been more times burnt then not burnt and that isn't ok in my book. Red Wing is a small town and when the people who live in this town keep getting burnt food they will stop going. Makes paying the higher prices not worth it either. The high school kids running the place seem to not care that all your chicken is burnt. I have stopped coming because of this reason. read more

Got to say, when it is 10 below, that piping hot Soup really hits the spot.

Ordered the chicken family pack family meal. Chicken is always reliable but NOT cheap! Also ordered an extra fry and onion ring, drive 25 minutes unloaded to feed the family and...... you guessed it missing items called to let them know they asked if I'd come back, um, no I'm not driving another 50 minutes to get the food you forgot the first time!!! Asked for CC to be credited, nope need to file a complaint on Monday when manager is there. Sorry, I just don't have the time!
