The food was exceptionally delicious. Our party ordered two appetizers - the pretzel and cheese curds - and both were phenomenal. Two people ordered from the breakfast menu, two from the salads, and one from the sandwich menu. Every person was so happy with what they ordered, said the flavor exceeded their expectation, and there was something unique about their dish or especially well done - whether it was a dressing that they had never had before, a combination of flavors, or an egg being perfectly cooked. We were there to celebrate a couple's 60th wedding anniversary and they were treated to a complimentary dessert which was a pleasant surprise to them. They even re-enacted feeding each a piece of cake that they did 60 years at their wedding. Our server was excellent, attentive, and did not rush us. We spent over 2 hours enjoying one another's company over a memorable and delicious lunch. We are so appreciative to the staff and chefs at the Scarlet Kitchen for creating such a wonderful experience for us. It brought us all so much joy and have given us such great memories to look back upon.

It was a little warm in the sun, but otherwise great outdoor weather and provided entertainment for the kids to look at the train when it went past. Our server was pretty quick to come get our drink order and we also puts the kids order and appetizer in right away. Our specialty cocktail and mocktail drinks came out pretty quick and all were quite refreshing. For the appetizer we got the Brussels sprouts with the horseradish mustard dressing and they were a hit. We even saved the dressing to use for the fries and sandwiches we ordered for the main. The kids burgers came out shortly after the appetizer which was useful to keep them entertained. It was pretty much an adult portion size and a well cooked burger. The only issue was that it took a while longer for the adult food to come out, so the kids were all done eating by the time we got our food. We got the Scarlett Salmon, Cubano, wild Mahi, Swedish stew, and pot roast sandwich. The salmon had a nice crust to it, but unfortunately for me, that also meant it was pretty salty. The couscous, watermelon radish, and chimichurri that accompanied were all very tasty though and the chimichurri did have a good kick of spice to it. The Cubano had good flavor and the horseradish mustard was a great accompaniment. The pot roast sandwich had decent flavor but was a little dry. The Mahi was the more successful fish entree and the Swedish stew also got great reviews. For dessert we couldn't make a decision, so we got the dessert trio which was a triple chocolate fudge cake, orange blossom and raspberry cake, and passion fruit panna cotta. The chocolate cake was a little dry for me, the raspberry cake was moist with a nice summer flavor, and the Panna cotta was the standout. A perfect light option to end the meal, and it came in a pretty cup. Overall they did have decent food and portion sizes were pretty good given their higher prices. The highlights are the beautiful outdoor patio and the friendliness of the servers.

I consider myself a "obsessed foodie " so I was pleased when Cory the chef came out of the kitchen and walked around the dining room. We were having a cocktail at the bar so we waved him over to ask what he recommended . I took his advice and ordered the scallops. They were cooked perfectly. Very tender and paired really well with the roasted corn and bacon. The whipped feta was very cold, which was interesting, but the flavor was tangy so it offset the richness of the bacon and scallops. The beef tenderloin was delicious cooked perfect medium rare. The broccolini was a little tough and the blue cheese sauce could have been a little thicker. It was kind of runny. I will be back to try more items on the menu. Excited the restaurant is open again.

The curds were lightly coated, making the batter crispy but not overwhelming. Unfortunately, more than one of our cheese curds also had onion in them. Pulled Pork - this was a clear winner today! The barbecue sauce and heaping portion of pork worked perfectly together on the fluffy bun. The French fries were clearly fresh cut and had the perfect combination of meatiness and crispiness. Jerk Chicken Sandwich - the chicken was well seasoned and well cooked. We never received the honey-Mayo to pair with the sandwich, which was sorely missed. When they say this sandwich is hot, we would call it Minnesota hot. We all agreed, the water had an unusual taste. This impacted the water and any soda our table had. We chose to eat outside because the internal space was incredibly loud. The property was not handicap friendly with uneven ground and a big step to go to the patio. Overall, we enjoyed the food and the space is probably a hot spot in the summer along the river.

I'm shocked to see the rating as high as it is at this establishment...The reason we chose this…read morerestaurant over others, is BECAUSE of the rating.... When we walked in it was busy and the hostess was friendly and estimated the wait time to be around 5 minutes, and it was; which was nice. We were seated in the porch area (there is a garage door that separates it from the rest of the restaurant) and it was sticky. The air was like the outdoors (SUPER humid day) but not as warm; there clearly was no AC. They did have a big ass fan on (that's the brand name I believe ) but it was on so low- you could not feel it. We all ordered drinks and only my husband was asked if he wanted a refill (family of 6 here). Our waitress never checked on us to ask how the food was until she asked if we were ready for our bill. My oldest son ordered a pizza with banana peppers, mushrooms, and pepperoni, and instead he got a pizza with green peppers, no mushrooms, and a little bit of pepperoni. My husband ordered a burger which he said was dry and so dry in fact he had to remove part of his bun (he is NOT a picky eater). I ordered a Rachel. My sandwich was incredibly dry and the only reason I almost finished it was because there was no way I was letting a 15.00 sandwich go to waste.... My oldest daughter ordered a cheese quesadilla and it was comparable to something she could have made herself (age 9) and thrown in the microwave. My youngest daughter (age 3) ordered a grilled cheese and it was so bad that she refused to eat it. I tried it and it tasted like wax. Velveeta cheese does not make a good grilled cheese especially when it's cold by the time you get to eat it. It was inedible, we ended up throwing it away. The only person who got decent food was my second son who ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza. He said it was pretty good. I will say this place serves "bar food". We will not be returning. The waitress did take the messed up pizza off of our bill (we appreciated that) but, if she had checked up on us earlier, he could have just had a new one made... I fully understand that it was busy, but it's still not an excuse for poor service and bad food. I have worked in restaurants from low end to high end, so I know how it works. We would have appreciated a check in from our waitress and a smile at least... She could have been having a bad day, but don't take that out on the customer. At least the hostess was friendly. I also want to add that the menu has way too many options... maybe if there were less options, they could perfect some of their recipes in order for the food to taste better... Sometimes too many options is not a good thing.

Based on my expectations for a small town bar and grills this place earns five stars! Our Bloody Mary's were good, tasted a lot like Zing Zang, but were good sized, featured two olives and a pickle spear, and were under $6. The Boneless Chicken Wings were the star! These were clearly made in-house from fresh chopped up chicken breasts, lightly coated in breading (not at all heavy or greasy!) and were amazingly juicy. I order boneless wings at many restaurants in the Twin Cities and have not ever had "wings" like this without the bone and not processed like a nugget.
