Nice little place. Good brewed options. Friendly owner and staff. Was a nice alternative for open mic entertainment during the week.

The Dredge is a nice dinner spot offering indoor and outdoor seating in a modern pub meets sit down…read morerestaurant feel. The service is good and staff were all very friendly. Food wise, this restaurant offers a serious seafood steamer feast and we did not miss out! We went with snow crab and shrimp. Cooked just right and cleaned well. We also ordered scallops served on the half shell - Thai chili style. A little bit of a let down as they were slightly overcooked. The chili is quite hot and I like spicy food so it was good with me but too much heat for others at the table. If a good amount of heat is not your thing definitely order the scallops basil style. We are not oyster fans but if you are oysters are a specialty of the house. For sides we had fries and hush puppies. Fries were very good, and the hush puppies were outstanding. Whole pieces of corn inside and cooked to a perfect crunch on the outside I would highly recommend these. We finished off our meal with fried plantains for desert, served with chocolate sauce and whipped cream. A fantastic steamer meal. There is a lot of menu to explore here and entrees seemed to lean toward seafood Mexican style dishes including tacos, burritos, etc. For drinks, the restaurant offers a good selection of beers on tap, wines and a full bar. Definitely recommend and suggest trying a seafood variety steamer style- it was a lot of fun! Cheers, and happy eating!

It quickly became apparent there were only a few employees, a bartender, a waitress, and the cook/owner. That said, service was great, it was obvious they were working as best they could to assure everyone was getting what they needed, and that orders were acceptable. Our food came out fast (we ordered fish and chips) and the servings were huge! Bartender even gave me a sample of their delicious red back sauce, which has a decent amount of heat for a restaurant sauce..... We need to make a point to add this place to our regular rotation of restaurants, they really work hard to deliver great food and great service, even though they are quite short staffed! Thé menu wasn't huge, but they had a section of ' summer grilled' options...pork, chicken, brisket,.....that Im sure would all be delicious! And a smaller menu is a good thing IMO, as they can concentrate on making the food they do offer delicious! If you go here, give the workers a break and understand the situation they're in. If you don't get waited on Immediately, know this has become all too prevalent everywhere these days; and most often, slow service isn't a result of slack workers....definitely not here!

While staying at the Tides Inn this week, we ate lunch at the Fish Hawk Oyster bar on two different…read moreoccasions. One was inside. The service was slow and the food was fine. We ordered a half dozen raw oysters and a beet salad to share. We were unaware (partially due to not educating ourselves) that the oysters are "river" oysters and not in a salty brine(like an ocean oyster). I would think since the Inn prides itself on the oysters, the wait staff would inform. It would not have changed my mind- I would order anyhow but would be nice to know. The flies are a little out of control inside in my opinion but again would not stop me from eating there but should be handled. The second day we ordered food at the pool. Again service was slow. We ordered the oysters again with a side of French fries and fruit. My husband ordered a beer which was not brought out for quite some time(after I had to remind two ppl - after our food was brought out) . The Tides Inn is a great place to stay and to have the convenience of two restaurants onsite is nice.

As we arrived, getting ready to dock, we had an employee approach us asking if we were stopping by Fish Hawk. We responded yes and then she asked if we were ok with the $20 2 hour parking fee. What?!?! Yes, The Tides Inn is now charging non guests $20 to dock their boat for 2 hours while you stop in to spend money at their establishment. We left and will not be returning.
