Mild chicken wings that should have been extra crispy and Steak and Cheese sub with jalapenos that didn't have jalapenos
    David T.

This restaurant came highly recommended and I could see how they would normaly get 4- 41/2 stars but today there was only one waitress during lunch and she was doing what she could, but we waited more than 5 minutes before our drink order was taken and 2 of the 3 were wrong. We ordered extra crispy wings with ranch and bleu cheese...they were not crispy and no sauces. We also ordered 3 steak and cheese subs, 2 with jalapenos....only 1 had the peppers. We had to ask for tableware. Top it off?...we got the wrong check! We Will go back a second time to see if they've gotten any better after Coronavirus ,will keep you updated

This was the second time we've been to KC's, but this time was a disappointment. The first time we went, we had crabs, which were really good. They were a good size and were fresh. The second time, we had a fried shrimp dinner and we wished we would have just stayed home. The drinks were good, but the food was not. Now, this could be attributed to the fact that we got there around closing time. We were told that we could only order fried foods, so we got shrimp and french fries. We thought that was simple enough, but evidently quality falls closer to closing. The french fries were saturated in oil, flavorless and not well cooked. The shrimp weren't bad, but they didn't have much flavor either. For $18, I expected more shrimp as well. Maybe we'll try this place again to break the tie...and definitely earlier in the day.

This was a great place to stop in and grab a bite. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful since we'd never eaten there before. The food is higher quality for the price. You can tell they use fresh seafood.

MR burger came 30 min later WD; ask who's in the kitchen. Chicken wings with hot sauce and ranch dressing get 5* for flavor. Order them.

The food was very good. Seafood excellent. Hot wings were hot. Will come back again. I will try something different.

Great service. Great food. Had fresh raw oysters. I'm from New York State so that is hard to find. Will go back when on town again.

Arguably the best soft shell sandwich I've had in a long time. Great service and creative sides as well. A nice surprise. Pool anyone?

Modern but still captured the old coastal feel. It was super musty and smelled like it. There was a dehumidifier but it was so small, in two nights we actually had to dump the water bucket 4 times. And if we left all day, we came back to a damp room. I'm not sure what causes that - we live in a super humid area and don't have the same issue, but maybe a larger humidifier would help. The breakfasts were fantastic - you can order anything off their restaurant menu. I didn't have anything bad, everything was super fresh and came in huge portions. I do wish they had an espresso machine but the coffee was okay. Check out was also a breeze. This isn't a luxury location, my main complaint was the price for it feels steep, but it's one of the only spots in the area which is probably why they can charge so much. Overall, a great stay and I would definitely come back here if I was in the area again.

There was one single waitress, and while she was a doll, she clearly was not prepared for an 8-top to walk in as soon as they opened. We were promptly greeted and sat, and our drink orders were taken. She was brewing fresh sweet tea, which was worth the wait. Additionally, one of my family members requested unsweet ice tea, and the owner actually went out to the store and bought more tea to make it for her. We sampled the crab dip appetizer (GOOEY GOODNESS), and we were served free cornbread for the table. The cornbread was unreal - it was the most dense, decadent, flavorful cornbread I've ever hard, though noticeably underbaked (which I personally believe added to it's goodness!) Portions were huge, and the food was really tasty and rich. Things move a little slower here than most places, but if you're not in a rush, pull up a seat. Heed parking signs outside, as it's street parking.

A minute or two and our server took our drink order. They fill the glass with nearly snowball style ice and water. Mostly ice so if you drink a lot tell them a little ice. We ordered a cream of crab, house made shrimp salad and a crab cake. All tasted homemade. The shrimp salad was a fair amount, not great but ok. The crab cake was flavorful and had a good amount of crab in it and so did the soup. When we go back there we will probably try someplace else but this is definitely worth returning to try something else like their fried chicken. They also have a 50s style ice cream shop attached that looks authentic.

I have usually had spicy versions in other restaurants. This was slightly bland for my liking. It was more on the creamier side. I still liked it.
