This was the best fish and chips I've had in a long time, and the ribeye sandwich was also really, REALLY good. There is a wide selection of beers to choose from, with a couple of really interesting additions. We shared a couple flights and were especially happy with the Kolsch, the Irish Red, and the Sweet Porter. Our group was welcomed with smiling faces, they checked in on us often to see if we needed anything at all, and we thoroughly enjoyed the spotless and modern, yet warm, space. Love that they have plenty of off-street parking, and gender-neutral restrooms. Bring cash or pay a 3% credit card fee.

The bar tender is very nice to talk to. Brings good energy. Recommend sitting at the table if you don't have a large party. Karaoke singers were great too. Decently crowded space. Midway through our dinner the main lights dimmed a bit which made the string lights look like stars making for a very romantic atmosphere. They do offer outdoor seating as well but we opted to stay inside, however we saw a fire pit and corn hole which could make for a fun outdoor evening. The food was amazing and came out extremely quickly. I think we waited less than 10 minutes which surprised me. I ended up getting the soft shell crab special which came with 3 small soft shell crabs and two sides. The Caesar salad was well dressed but was missing the salty umami flavor I come to expect with Caesar it almost tasted a bit bland but the romaine used was fresh and I appreciated the crunch/green it offered my meal, I don't think I'd recommend it being worth the upcharge and will probably try another side when returning. The fries are handcut and delicious, they also have old bay along with the typical salt & pepper on the table which when sprinkled on to the fries definitely take it up a notch. My crabs were phenomenal, perfectly fried and the butter sauce they provided with it was a delicious addition for dipping. My partner got a pulled pork sandwich and he shared that it was very good. It had a nice vinegar kick expected from Carolina BBQ. Our server Zachary was also extremely attentive and made sure we had our meals, waters were topped off and gave us any and all accoutrements we could need when asked. Overall, we had a great experience at Old Rapp Taphouse, we went on a Saturday night and found there to be a steady stream of people coming in and out but still received such great service and food. Highly recommend.

Being a fan of the beers, I really was looking forward to visiting the brewery for lunch. I was a bit disappointed with the experience. Then we waited a while before our server returned to take our food order. When our food finally arrived it was good but not great. The veggie omelette with tots was fair, the tots were seasoned but everything else was not and a bit bland. Similarly the grilled chicken club was just ok. I'd be less critical if the service had been better, but it wasn't. I do recommend the beers. Get a flight and try several. Beers: 5/5 Food: 3.5/5 Service: 2/5
