S E R V I C E The lady's at the inside counter were so sweet and kind! They took the time to explain the wine flight list to us, and told us which meats/cheeses/crackers would pair nicely with our choices. V A R I E T Y Their wine list is awesome! They literally have something for everyone! And the fact that they had snacks to choose from?! AMAZING!! Large variation of seating! They have a ramp and a staircase so the main building is accessible for all!!

Couldn't think of a better way to spend a rainy (soon to be snowy) Sunday afternoon. Great atmosphere. Great food from the Scottish Pig and really great wines!

Saude Creek is a wonderful relaxing winery with great views. The wine options had a lot of variety. There's something for everyone. On weekends and busier times I recommend getting there early as seating can be at a premium. The servers are wonderful but their service only extends to the bar where you order drinks. There are some overpriced snack options or you can bring your own cooler. There are wine slushies available and if you purchase a tumbler you get a discount on refills and you can bring it back for additional discounts. There's a super friendly black cat, and often times live music. A great little spot out in the country.

Went here on a friday with 2 of my friends! We had a really nice time! The place was pretty crowded for 3pm and all the wines were very enjoyable! The atmosphere is great, everyone seems to be very happy and friendly here including the lady who helped us at the bar! The flowers in the back are also an amazing place to take pictures!

Absolutely love my overall experience here. One of the better one tasting experiences in the area, saude creek has excellent customer service and great wines to explore. Staff was super knowledgeable and friendly - very astute wine experts and were patient when we had to go get our food from outside. Wines: they have more of the lighter wines, nice light reds, well-rounded whites, and some good reds. My favorite wine there is the Saude Creek Red Blend. It is the perfect wine for anytime of the evening + you won't feel bad if you drink it during the day, doing chores or watching the kids . Food: YEARS ago, they had a bbq vendor inside their tasting room. Post-pandemic, the bbq vendor has a truck outside! A MUST is the brisket. They have nachos, hotdogs, fries - all made with different flavorful bbq meats. Make sure you get the brisket bbq sauce. Venue: it's very spacious inside and out with very warm details. The scenery is very green and has lots of hills. If you're lucky, they have live performances on the weekends. I first started started coming here years ago and the top-tier experience hasn't changed. This should definitely be on your list of wineries to try if you close by.

Saudé Creek has been a vineyard that I've wanted to visit for months so I was very happy that we finally had the chance to stop in. I've never seen actual grape vine trellises in person so I was blown away with how beautiful they were. The vineyard and landscaping was absolutely breathtaking. We stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and even though it was pretty busy, we were able to start a wine tasting immediately. The wine tasting was very reasonably priced ($18). As we were tasting each wine, I mentioned that they all tasted like a bit of sunshine since they all seemed so light and refreshing. I'm not the biggest fan of dry wines but even those were crisp, fruity and delicious and not bitter at all. Since we were just stopping by for a quick wine tasting, we didn't get a chance to sit and enjoy the beautiful vineyard but we are already planning to go back very soon. One of my favorite perks of the vineyard is the fact that they allow people to bring outside food to the property while also offering the option to purchase small bites. I saw many people enjoying charcuterie boards with their wine which is the perfect combination in my opinion. There are also food trucks on the property as well which is very convenient if people don't want to bring food themselves. Definitely a perfect place for all occasions! I can't wait to return!

A beautiful setting. We sat inside today due to the cold weather. Usually we enjoy the porch which has an amazing view. It's really nice to listen to music and enjoy their tasty wines. We usually bring a picnic. On weekends they have a food truck which is nice. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We had Charlie's Chardonnay which was good. Beautiful label!!

The musician...note the heater lamps and vinyl/plastic seals to the right for Feb

Great variety of wine options even for super sweet drinkers! We were looking forward to trying the muscadine but it was really available, at least for flights. Regardless, there was one particular white - Tavern White - that was my wife's favorite. We also tried the Big Eazy, Sweet Rebellion, Red and Early Dawn. I can't recall for all those reds we liked next best though. Came in a Saturday and *throughly* enjoyed the musician - he played quite the variety for anyone from their late 30s to 60s to enjoy! He was outside and they did at least have heater lamps around but for Feb it was still fairly cool, even with the patio plastic/vinyl walls to insulate a bit. That outdoor space sure was needed; all space inside was filled! I suspect though for warmer days, there would be more space outside....but not this time of year. It was not clear but I *think* there may have been some sort of view of the Pamunkey River, but from our seating it seemed a fair distance away; who knows maybe they have walkways all the way out and seating there? I believe they did offer some sort of food options indoors, but I know for sure they had a food truck (BBQ, brisket, nachos, fries, etc). Really great options! We came out for a little two day outing pre-Valentine's day at a nearby B&B in New Kent and this was a great recommendation!

This vineyard is a large scale experience, welcoming large groups and families on a vast property with picture perfect views of the region and spectacular landscaping. The outdoor seating is endless, and includes shade umbrellas, fire pits, and covered areas. There are also places on the property for large group events and celebrations. There are some outdoor spaces that can be reserved. The wines are tasty and the staff is super friendly. The wine list offers choices for every palate. Stay awhile and enjoy a glass or bottle of your new favorite wine. You are welcome to bring your own food/appetizers. Children and pets are welcome. I met a three month old baby boy, an adorable senior Boston Terrier and black lab puppy on my visit.

A gorgeous tasting room with a deck, beautiful views, gorgeous locale, and wine that will really impress! That's Saude Creek! My favorites are their Vidal Blanc and their Sweet Rebellion Chambourcin! Vidal Blan is an understated wine but does very well in Virginia as it exhibits a fine floral aroma and crisp summer fruits on the palate. Their Sweet Rebellion Chambourcin is really the finest in the state of Virginia with its depth, complexity, and strength of medium bodied flavor that leaves a nice lasting aftertaste until your next sip. I at least buy half a case of their wine every time I stop in.

Mr. Saude, the winery's cat, visits us during our picnic with a wine flight.

Saude Creek Vineyards offers great wines, great views, and great hospitality. We have visited Saude Creek three times. The first time was on a weekend, and we ordered food from the Scottish Pig food truck, which was delicious, while we listened to live music and enjoyed wine flights. The second time I went with some friends for a paint and sip class in their loft. The third time we visited during the week and brought our own picnic of chicken, veggies, cheeses, and treats. Each time we order a wine flight, we each order different wines and share the tastings. The pours are generous enough to share. Seating is inside on two levels, as well as outside on the porch, decks, or in the back yard. They also have a separate event space.

I have heard of this place but never been. Pulling out the parking lot was absolutely crazy packed but the view was amazing. Inside it was hacked and there was someone singing outside on the outdoor patio. There was a Barbecue Company set up inside that you could purchase food from. The bar for a tasting was packed, honestly the entire place was packed. The inside, the outside, the bar to get a glass of wine, on the tables... My friend and I enjoy the tasting. It was okay, most of them I did not like. This was my first wine tasting though. After we left the swinery, when we went to another Winery we were able to get a sampler of their Suites or they're dry. I have found some more on the sweet side so maybe if there was a different option for a sampler of times that I would be more partial to it would have been more enjoyable but I'm not a wine person so it was information overload. Ha ha I would definitely pick my favorite wine, pack some snacks, and come out there for a picnic for the view because it was absolutely beautiful

Review for New Kent Winery - Where Vines Meet Vibes…read more We popped into New Kent Winery one sunny afternoon while cruising down to Virginia Beach -- because what's a road trip without a little wine country detour, am I right? This place? Massive. Immaculate. It's giving modern farmhouse chic meets Napa-lite. Think soaring ceilings, airy spaces, and a patio that overlooks the vineyards like it was built for sipping and Instagramming. If your aesthetic is "refined with a hint of rosé," you'll be right at home. They've got a monster wine list -- obviously -- but plot twist: they also brew their own beer(Talleysville Brewery). So, if you're rolling in with someone who's more hops than grapes, they're covered too. The food menu is small but mighty -- just enough to keep your buzz from turning into a dizzy spell. We ordered the spinach dip with tortilla chips (creamy, garlicky, devourable) and paired it with a flight of four beers: * Cerveza con Limón y Sal - A crisp Mexican lager with zesty citrus vibes. Summer in a glass. * Old Church Vienna Lager - Malty, slightly sweet, with a bit of a bitter bite. A polite handshake of a beer. * Double Cut IPA (Galaxy & El Dorado) - Hoppy, punchy, and packing that metallic aftertaste my wife adores (I'm still working on liking it). * Black Knight Stout - A dark and brooding Irish stout with Bugle Call coffee. Basically, an espresso martini's beer cousin who rides a motorcycle. Service? Smooth, friendly, and on top of it. No complaints there. Overall, New Kent is the kind of place that makes you say, "Wait, why don't we stop here more often?" Whether you're in it for the views, the vibes, or a good pour, it delivers.

From the very first pour, we could tell the tasting was going to be generous and by the time we reached our eighth glass, we were definitely feeling tipsy. They offer reds, whites, dessert wines, and more. Along with our tasting, we did enjoy the charcuterie box. Now i will say that box was not worth the $22 paid. Everything was delicious inside; it was just the portion was tiny. In short, it felt like the perfect holiday outing: relaxing, indulgent, and charming. Also, the decor there was so cute and i loved all the Christmas decorations. We ended up buying five bottles to take home! If you enjoy wine and enjoy laid-back vibes on a winery estate, Williamsburg Winery is definitely worth a stop.

There was parking available, but if you come late, you may have difficulty finding a spot. We entered the building and proceeded to the counter to check out what they offered. The staff were pleasant and patient in explaining the various wines and other beverages they offered. The ambiance was chill, as we had visited on a Saturday which also included a food truck onsite and live music. We settled on the nine-sample tasting which was only $20, a great deal in our opinion. It consisted of 3 whites, 1 rose, 4 reds, and one tasting at the end that we could choose the flavor: raspberry or peach; some chose raspberry some peach. There was plenty of seating inside and outside. There was an outdoor covering, in the event of inclement weather, which also housed a fire hearth, good for a fire roaring chilly night of wine tasting. There were also outside open seating with tables. We also noted that folks were bringing their own chairs, which was a good move given that the crowd grew the longer we were there. Our tasting was nice: we were given a metal tray that held our tastings with a paper under that identified each wine and also given a paper with a description of the notes of each wine. It was mix of dry and sweet red and white blends, which was good. We all had a favorite with one clear winner: the last peach wine of the tasting! You could also purchase wine by the glass, bottle, or to go, in addition to wine slushes. They also had snacks such as cheese, crackers, dried meats, perfect for making your own charcuterie board to nibble on with your wine. There were also folks who brought their own snacks. The food truck on site was Cousin's Main Lobster specializing in all things lobster. They had the traditional lobster roll, lobster grilled cheese, lobster quesadilla , lobster tacos, lobster bisque, etc. We ordered the traditional lobster roll with mayo (they also had one with garlic butter and one with Parmesan), lobster quesadilla, lobster tacos, and shrimp tacos. The food was ok, nothing stood out overall. The seafood was fresh and did lack seasoning, but overall, good. The winery also had local artisan items for sale such as jewelry, t-shirts, wine glasses, throw pillows, etc. We also saw that this was a family and dog-friendly winery as there were plenty of both there. The winery overlooked a lake, which was picture perfect. There was a duo playing music under an outside pavilion stage. All in all, a great afternoon sipping wine with friends and family.
