Denise was prompt at serving us, but I noticed that she gave the same spiel to the new couple who sat behind me as she did for us; a canned memorized script. Although the outdoors had Carolers from the speakers, the inside lacked holiday decor. I got the smoked salmon tacos, but there was an over abundance of the aoili so that each taco dripped profusely, spilling onto the placemat, though I aimed towards the center of the slate slab. I had to wipe my hands off, then pulled off my jacket and pulled up my sleeves fearing it would drip onto me. Hubby got the Reuben, but the ratio was off with far too much bread to meat. He also got the Parsnip soup, but he said it was not his fav. I had a taste and liked it. We then headed out to pick up our box of wines.

Another great lunch at Gabriel Archer Tavern! The turkey and brie sandwich and the flatbread with ham and mozzarella were very good. Service is friendly and efficient. You can read my other reviews to learn about their other dishes.

We went here for a birthday and it was super fun! The menu is full of great options and each of us loved our meals. Additionally, the server was very knowledgeable and gave us a lot of information on each item. After eating at Gabriel Archer we went in the wine tasting room and then sat outside. The menu is filled with many wine options and different flights. I would definitely recommend!

Love coming here. Food Menu is always interesting and brings you to try new things. The sunroom was a little chilly. Recommended wearing something warm in the winter.

The service here was good and our server was friendly. We came expecting what we would order only to learn what was listed on their site wasn't correct- so just know the menu changes for the season. I did order the turkey and Brie sandwich. The garlic aioli on it was more mayo than garlic flavor, so that was disappointing, but otherwise it was good. I upgraded to the special soup which was a crab turnip soup or something. I was told it was very good and very popular, but honestly after a few bites I was done- it was way too bland. For dessert I got the special pumpkin praline (I think it was) cheesecake which was wonderful.

Had a great experience visiting for the first time this restaurant. Had been prior to the winery for a quick stop to grab a bottle of wine on the go but decided to check this long holiday weekend for brunch. Arrived with no reservation and were seated quickly, they wanted to sit us in a table we didn't like because we had a stroller however they accommodated our request to sit in another section of the restaurant. Food and drinks were good, service was swift, the room has a bit of an echo situation where it can get a bit loud if multiple people are talking at once. The runner that brought our food apologized for not carrying the plate properly since my eggs tilted from the plate, which I declined to have them remake my plate.

The service and ambiance of Gabriel Archer Tavern is amazing. You're seated in a room with a view of the vineyards and the staff are knowledgeable and attentive. I enjoyed the cranberry mash cocktail, which used whiskey from Copperfox, a local distillery. The drink was smooth and a bit similar to a whiskey sour, just exchanging lemon juice or cranberry juice and cranberry syrup. Refreshingly tart. The shrimp tacos were good, but left a little to be desired. They were just basic-tasting. I think adding some kind of pepper to them (maybe jalapeño) as well as some lime would brighten them up. The rest of the menu looked so good, and I look forward to coming back and trying more.

Such a quaint lunch spot in Williamsburg! I definitely recommend sitting in the back patio room, rather than the front entrance. The menu consists of typical lunch items: sandwiches, salads, soup, etc, but what makes it special is that a lot of the ingredients are locally sourced. I ordered the Tavern Burger, and although slightly over cooked, was delicious! I was happy to see a salad as the standard side, rather than having an upcharge. However, chips are an upcharge. I'm curious to see how their dinner menu differs from lunch!

I had a great dinner here. Everything was delicious. The oysters tasted fresh, the Swedish meatballs were flavorful and the pork chop was juicy. The seasonal cocktail was unique and tasty. I liked the combination of the cream and berry flavor of the drink. The atmosphere of the restaurant was cute and cozy.

We were seated right away, and our service was awesome from start to finish. FOOD REVIEW Thai Poppin' Shrimp 5/5 - I really appreciated Robin for making sure we had a great experience with this dish. Berry Burrata 3/5 - Not my favorite, but still decent. Asian Chicken Wraps 3/5 - This was okay, just a little too saucy for me. Fried Green Tomatoes 5/5 - One of our favorites. The pimiento cheese paired perfectly with it. Carolina Burger 4/5 - Huge portion, and my son really enjoyed it. 2nd St Burger 4/5 - Another big portion and overall really good. Kids Pizza & Tenderloins 3/5 - Decent for the kids, though the pizza bread was a bit dense. DRINKS Margarita 4/5 Prickly Pear 4/5 Robin really made our experience even better. She checked on us frequently and made sure everything came out right. The portions here are on the larger side, so I'd recommend ordering family-style if you're dining with a group. Overall, the food was great, and the service made the experience even better.

When I got to the restaurant I asked if they had horse radish: no. Au jus: yes. I wanted a piece of Carrot cake but I thought $18 was exorbitant. I opted for the pecan pie instead. The online menu said they had some crispy chicken dinner... It was no longer part of the menu when I arrived to the restaurant.. My significant other is allergic to shellfish, and does not eat pork... There weren't a lot of entrée options for him because there was pork all over the place. I did order him some salmon since he could not get the chicken. He liked the salmon. The broccoli had no flavor on it. And the brown rice pilaf was equally Bland. The brisket sandwich was ...okay... but dipping it in French onion soup calling it onion jus.... It just pissed me off. I think the menu was overpriced for tourists. The staff seemed to be doing the best they could. I guess I'll continue my hunt for the best Friend dip in Williamsburg. I'm down here a lot.

Disappointing plus not much in the way of tater tots. They didnt have the doggie menu I saw online which is why I came here but they did make up a beef patty with rice. So much to love about this new discovery besides the fact that it's NOT a Starbucks lol and for those that know me, you know I love and love to support and discover tucked away indie coffee places (see my reviews!). This place is also a roastery and sells their own bean blends. I don't know the history behind the shop and name but was told it is chemistry themed and owned by W&M alum - yassssss! Service is SUPER friendly and excellent so that's a bonus! I lovvvvvvve that the latte menu is chock full of super creative seasonal flavors - so many to choose from!! I stopped by twice while in town and staying just down the street. Had a hot Rose Macaron latte and the next day had the Lemon Bar. Both were DELICIOUS. NOT OVERLY SWEET BUT WITH SUBTLE FLAVORS AND BOLD ESPRESSO TASTE. NOTTTTTT WIMPY WEAK. Both days I had the OG Bacon Egg Cheese sando on an ET bagel that was a decent accompaniment to my seasonal lattes which were clearly the stars of the show. I was there during the week - once mid afternoon, the other day late morning and it was not crowded at all both days. The seating area is HUGE. 2 separate adjacent rooms - walk through the front ordering area and you'll find a large, super cozy and inviting "living room" type space with comfy couches, armchairs, dining tables with chairs and even cubes for studying. Dark and moody vibes. SUPER COZY, RELAXING AND KEPT VERY CLEAN AND TIDY. The other seating area has a bunch of tables and chairs, lots of windows, brighter and more conducive for gathering. I took and posted a bunch of pics and some vids so check them out. So glad to have discovered this coffee spot and gem! Will definitely be back when I visit Williamsburg again! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
