Very beautiful scenery! The website stated daily tastings for $16, but Christine our server stated that is only on the weekends. Service was okay, will patronize again because of the scenery.

Still a fan of new Kent winery. Salsa night still happens and it's so fun! The space itself is quaint - cute barrel room downstairs, nice and spacious upstairs, and a wonderful patio & outdoor space. The food menu seems to have expanded. I recently got pork sliders & samosas. Both good! Of course, it's not going to be something out of a specialty restaurant but it was still yummy & filling. And the wines & beers are quite good as well. Different palates to choose from.

One of our old favorites and though we haven't been here in over 5 years it does not disappoint. The beautiful deck. The amazing staff and the GREAT wine.

A wonderful winery and brewery with variety and selection in a casual yet sophisticated atmosphere. The staff will let you live your best life while you drink and don't run interference. The facilities and grounds are clean. Our flights were amazing. We also had the baked Brie, which was absolutely delicious! 10 out of 10 recommended and will 100% return.

A great place to catch up with some friends on a nice day. There's plenty of seating (mainly outdoor) and parking. It's kind of run like a fast casual place where you order at the bar and bring your drinks to a self-selected table. You get a ticket for your food and pick it up at the window. They don't have any buzzers though so you just have to check around the time estimate they provided. Their menu is mainly light bites and can be hit or miss. We've gotten cold food a few times, which could be due to the system I described above. I'm not a huge wine drinker and I like fruity and sweeter drinks so I've found the Sweet Virginia wine to be up my alley. It's a pretty small bottle and can easily be consumed by one person.

I've always been drawn to the the white Merlot and I believe is a must-try if you've never had it! You have to buy a tasting ticket (I KNOW, it's not how it used to be, but stop complaining and just adjust to the social climate ) where you could just walk up before. Not a huge issue for me but I can see where ppl don't prefer it. Tasting was great and ended up getting a the reserve Chardonnay (very great overall white wine - not sweet) and some double barrel-merlot or something - we were already feeling gOoD so I don't remember lol. WINE: my favorite was the Norton - just a great full body red wine with dark-berry & bourbon notes. Just a quintessential piece in one's wine-snob collection. Didn't try the food but I've hear mostly good things. You'll regret not trying this place out.

We stopped here on our way to Williamsburg. It's right off of 64. Super easy and convenient for a stop. They have wines and beers they make them all in house. We were greatly by a friendly lady who knew the background of the winery which was nice. I like to learn about wineries history. The grounds are beautiful with luscious vines. We enjoyed the wines here and definitely would come back. We did buy two bottles of the sweet wine, sweet Virginia. It's very tasty!!

Even though it's quite a drive out from where I live in Virginia Beach, my friends and I love coming here. The wines are tasty, especially when you can get a flight to try. The sommeliers are friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. The food is pretty good here too. We generally get the spinach and artichoke dip. It's a cute little winery that is off the beaten path. If you like wines, you should stop here. Ask to try the white merlot (yes, you read that correctly).

I'm surprised to see a winery with such a low rating as most are between 4-5 stars. I stopped by here yesterday and enjoyed the experience. I had a 4 wine flight and a DIPA as they have both beer and wine here. I thought the wine was ok. I'm not a huge fan of VA wine as I'm used to CA, WA, and international wines which I just find better as a whole. That's not saying I don't like some VA wines, but I'm generally not a fan. They also have a solid food menu here but I didn't eat anything. They have a lot of outdoor seating options and I enjoyed sitting outside looking at the vines and just relaxing. The people working here were great and attentive and there was plenty of available parking. I'd definitely return.

Pretzels, charcuterie and artichoke dip.

Admittedly I am slowly becoming obsessed with wineries I've been checking out different local vineyards over the past few months.New Kent offers a small array of food options to go along with there wine and beer selection's. They have a covered patio that's heated during the winter months and plenty of places to relax on the grounds when it's warmer. The staff is friendly and the facilities are really clean. The food was hit or miss. Picture finger/ shareable foods. We opted for a Greek charcuterie board, potatoes that were diced and topped with bacon and jalapeños. We also ordered the artichoke cheese dip. The cheese dip was delicious and the charcuterie board was fresh!! The cucumbers were nice and crisp I loved it. The potatoes were a little under cooked and lacked in flavor. We ordered so much stuff that we needed to go boxes unfortunately they didn't have any on hand so we had to put or food in freezer bags, that was weird. Overall I enjoyed my trip and look forward to returning.

How stupid is this - New Kent doesn't do wine flights anymore. Beer flights in wine glasses, but no wine flights.

What would be optimal for seating? The front porch or back porch? I heard some comments about too much sun.

Back porch is awesome!! Highly recommend sitting there.

There was parking available, but if you come late, you may have difficulty finding a spot. We entered the building and proceeded to the counter to check out what they offered. The staff were pleasant and patient in explaining the various wines and other beverages they offered. The ambiance was chill, as we had visited on a Saturday which also included a food truck onsite and live music. We settled on the nine-sample tasting which was only $20, a great deal in our opinion. It consisted of 3 whites, 1 rose, 4 reds, and one tasting at the end that we could choose the flavor: raspberry or peach; some chose raspberry some peach. There was plenty of seating inside and outside. There was an outdoor covering, in the event of inclement weather, which also housed a fire hearth, good for a fire roaring chilly night of wine tasting. There were also outside open seating with tables. We also noted that folks were bringing their own chairs, which was a good move given that the crowd grew the longer we were there. Our tasting was nice: we were given a metal tray that held our tastings with a paper under that identified each wine and also given a paper with a description of the notes of each wine. It was mix of dry and sweet red and white blends, which was good. We all had a favorite with one clear winner: the last peach wine of the tasting! You could also purchase wine by the glass, bottle, or to go, in addition to wine slushes. They also had snacks such as cheese, crackers, dried meats, perfect for making your own charcuterie board to nibble on with your wine. There were also folks who brought their own snacks. The food truck on site was Cousin's Main Lobster specializing in all things lobster. They had the traditional lobster roll, lobster grilled cheese, lobster quesadilla , lobster tacos, lobster bisque, etc. We ordered the traditional lobster roll with mayo (they also had one with garlic butter and one with Parmesan), lobster quesadilla, lobster tacos, and shrimp tacos. The food was ok, nothing stood out overall. The seafood was fresh and did lack seasoning, but overall, good. The winery also had local artisan items for sale such as jewelry, t-shirts, wine glasses, throw pillows, etc. We also saw that this was a family and dog-friendly winery as there were plenty of both there. The winery overlooked a lake, which was picture perfect. There was a duo playing music under an outside pavilion stage. All in all, a great afternoon sipping wine with friends and family.

We sat outside and enjoyed a beautiful day, but there is indoor seating and it is very nice and clean. Debbie (owner) was very friendly and informative about the wines. We did not try the snacks as we had had a large breakfast, so I can't comment on those. The owners are super friendly and explained the history of the vineyard and it was so beautiful and peaceful to just sit there and enjoy some wine and cheese and talk to the owners. We did wine flights and my favorite was their blackberry wine which we both ended up taking bottles of home with us. I thought the blackberry wine would be too sweet as I'm not a fan of sweet wine but it was more fruity than sweet and had the perfect taste. We also tried the Goot Essa Cheese and Rip Rap crackers and I can honestly say that it was some of the best cheese I had ever tasted! The both ladies did have wine flights and both found a wine that they really enjoyed. As for service: our young lady was very nice and took decent care of us.
