This was my first time at Cirrus and my group had a great time. It was a little tough getting a table for 6 of us but we just had to be patient and keep an eye out. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a gender neutral bathroom. You need to be seated at a table to order. They use a table QR code online ordering system so the only time you interact with staff is when you receive your drink. Service was prompt and the drinks were all really good! All drinks are made with their vodka, besides the mocktails. A bit on the pricey side but worth it to catch up with friends in a clean, well lit, and festive environment (during the holiday pop-up). My only gripe is that I wish they had at least a few snacks or finger foods on the menu - it seemed to be entirely drinks. read more

This was my first visit since Cirrus moved to Scott's Addition. It's now located in a courtyard that also houses a grocery store and a restaurant. It's nice that you can order a meal while you enjoy your drink. The menu has changed since my last visit, and instead of ordering at the bar, you can either order on your phone, or have your order taken by one of the waitstaff. This time I tried the So Fresh and So Clean, which reminded me of a mojito, then had a coffee martini drink special. My friend had an El Diablo mule and then a Ballast Bloody. I am so glad I finally tried Cirrus' new tasting room! The whole area joined between Yellow Umbrella, etc. is just adorable and very well set up. Cirrus has 2 indoor seating areas to choose from. In each area, there's a QR code on the table that you can order from and your drinks will be delivered directly to your table! The service is super fast and the bartenders are friendly and knowledge. I'm so looking forward to warmer weather so I can go back and enjoy their outdoor space next time. read more

Such a cutesy spot - the original Cirrus was a bit more off the beaten path, sequestered away from the regular SA crowd, but now this is right in the heart of it all. A great place to start or spend your night with plenty of hybrid indoor/outdoor seating with the whole garage door patio thing they've got going on. Wish there was a more accessible bar area to order from, but otherwise not many complaints on my end! Drinks are delicious and fairly priced, service is good, it is very modern and sleek on the interior, feels very new and clean - and I otherwise felt very taken care of. read more

I am so excited to soon be able to order some food with these drinks once Slack Tide opens up. The drinks are a little pricey and it's weird that you can't go up and order at the bar. I love pretty much everything that Cirrus puts out. Their orange crush and limeade are two standouts for sure. I also really enjoyed their holiday cocktails this past season. I was able to try three out of four of them, and they were all really well made. It's a popular spot no matter the season. In the winter, they have a tent for some extra covered seating. The interior is cozy and cute, and the line for drinks generally moves pretty fast. It's a great spot in the summer as well with the live music that Main Line often has going on. I was confused about my total after my last visit and messaged them on insta. They responded so quickly and professionally to help clarify it for me. I really appreciated that too. It is one of my favorite places to go for a casual drink on the weekends. As someone who doesn't love beer, Cirrus is a good option to suggest when everyone else wants to go to a brewery. It has the same laid back, daytime feel that all of the Richmond breweries have. The drinks are always great! Horrible experience. Went there in a paid inclusive tour... the location was closed. They took us to the new location (which was pretty) and is apparently owned by billionaires and it was a private friends and family event. Any good manager would have honored a paid free drink pass and just said sorry for the inconvenience and given us a drink... not this guy... we paid $50 for an Aperol spritz and a Moscow mule. Sad part is I was so excited this was the 3rd part of our tour (after whiskey and rum) and vodka is my favorite spirit, I loved the esthetic of the space, and I was ready to buy a bottle of vodka to take back to NYC. But the entire experience was ruined in minutes. Good look to you all. Treat people better. Would have happily spent money there. Oh well. read more

I was there for a pottery pop up market, advertised as part of a pot-pub crawl in conjunction with the NCECA Pottery Convention in town- I of course had to pop in for a cocktail! I also was intrigued with their specialty simple syrups- I sprung for a blackberry vanilla simple syrup to take home for cocktails! The bar was brightly lit, fun menu boards and quick service! I've been wanting to check out this distillery bar for some time. I was thrilled to finally experience it during their Santa Cocktail Shop! We visited it the Friday before Christmas Eve as a fun pre-Christmas celebration. I loved that it wasn't too crowded like the other Christmas cocktail pop-ups in town. It was cozy with fun ornament decorations. At first, I was shocked that there were only four holiday drinks to pick from, but then I quickly realized that it made sense since they all had Cirrus Vodka in them. My group and I had the chance to try all of them. The Slay Bells Ring was the fan favorite (a repeat pick for people in my group). I think people really liked the house made ginger syrup and elderflower in it. It was very refreshing. My partner and I found the Saint Nicholas Hot Cocoa to be very strong. Maybe it was extra strong because we had the end of a batch, but it was mainly vodka. We asked for more oat milk to dilute it. The Espresso Tini had a very yummy coffee flavor. It was fun to see two Richmond local places (Blanchard's and Cirrus Vodka) collab on the Blanchard's Infused Coffee Vodka in it. I'm usually not a big peppermint person, but love a white Russian. Their Peppermint White Russian was very tasty. I'm looking forward to checking out this place for their regular cocktails (which they were still serving when I went, but wanted to drown in the Christmas joy). read more

If you like vodka, this place is a must. Their vodka is pretty smooth and comparable, if not better than a good amount of popular top shelf vodkas. Unlike most vodkas that are made with rye, wheat or corn, Cirrus is made from local Russet potatoes. Thus giving it a unique, smooth flavor. As for the tasting room, it's comfortable, quaint, and intimate. Best of all, they have a huge list of cocktails. Every thing that I sampled was delicious! The Setty and limeade were out of this world. I could seriously drink them both every day and not get tired of them. I'm not really a vodka guy. I've had most of the top shelf vodkas, but I used to say that vodka can be worse than $12 Smirnoff but can't be much better. Cirrus' vodka made me reconsider that. They give you a small taster of the straight vodka when you visit, and it goes down very smoothly and tastes... actually kinda good on its own. It's among the best vodkas out there (and, while more expensive than Smirnoff by the bottle, is a lot more affordable than a lot of inferior competitors). The tasting room is nice. They have some enclosed outdoor seating for when the temperature's nice. The service is friendly, and they have an extensive list of cocktails. The three that were ordered in my group were all fantastic. And, the cocktail prices were /very/ reasonable. If you're a vodka person, I don't get your tastes but am pretty sure you'll love Cirrus. If you like the idea of local spirits but aren't a vodka person and are questioning whether a vodka only place could be worth it, check it out: The vodka is unusually good, and even if it were the same as Smirnoff to you, the cocktails are affordable, creative and delicious, and served by friendly staff who seem to care about the drinks they serve. read more

I'm not much of a vodka person but I enjoyed Cirrus Vodka! The building is very easy to miss; it's along the same road as Hardywood Brewery tucked in amongst the office buildings. Look for the sign and follow the dirt road! They make their own 100% potato vodka, which is very smooth and easy to sip. No rubbing alcohol burn here! They also make their own grenadine, shrub, and other various mixers. My group was welcomed by two very friendly bartenders and the owner (it was his birthday and we got free Sugar Shack donuts! Yum!) who gave us a free sample of straight vodka before we ordered our cocktails. I tried the blood orange crush and the blood orange saffron and both were delicious and refreshing. We were also talked into each having a Firecracker shooter, which is their homemade twist on Fireball, and it was sweet and spicy and definitely too good not to drink slowly. They sell their vodka by the bottle as well as branded merchandise such as hats and T-shirts. There is a Bloody Mary bar available exclusively on Sundays that seemed to be quite popular. read more

I cannot remember the last time I drank vodka without immediately regretting it prior to coming to Cirrus Vodka. As a first timer they give you a small taste of the vodka straight up. I sniffed it and it smelled like my worst nightmare however when I took a little sip, I neither gagged nor shivered. It actually tasted good! They over a wide variety of craft cocktails that are ever chaining. Prices are very affordable ranging from $8 for a flight of 3 different cocktails all the way to $12 for a full pour of one. Cirrus vodka is potato-based and gluten free. I had never had it before, but with a quick Google Maps search of things to do in the area, this place popped up! I visited the website and this Yelp page, and it looked like a lot of fun. Two of us stopped by on Sunday after the Folk Festival, and we left happy! When we first arrived, we were greeted by a cheerful bartender, and she immediately allowed us to taste Cirrus vodka straight up. It was nice and cold and super smooth! We ended up getting two flights and a full cocktail, so here goes: Setty - This was our favorite. The herb flavor came through but wasn't bitter, and the lime was perfectly tart. Barbara - We were not into this one. The pineapple flavor took over the sage completely, so it just tasted like plain juice. In my experience, this tends to happen when pineapple is added to any cocktail, so I wasn't too surprised. Limeade - This drink was TOO sour and not sweet enough. It was tough to get through. Blueberry rosemary shrub - This was okay. The rosemary came through slightly, and the blueberry added sweetness. Chai pear shrub - The flavors on this one were too mild. It wasn't until the very last sip that the chai was fully present. I think pear is also difficult to highlight. Classic mule - The ginger beer was good! This drink was also a little sour for my liking, but it was better than the shrubs. Cold brew coffee vodka cocktail - We got a full drink pour of this one. It comes with condensed milk to make it sweet and temper the coffee flavor of the vodka. I really liked this one! I think even more condensed milk could have been added, but I am a sucker for that stuff. All in all, we found most of the drinks to be pretty dangerous, in that you won't even feel the vodka until later. They all come out very smooth! On another note, the bartender was talkative and knowledgeable about Cirrus and Richmond. We enjoyed chatting with her. The tasting room was somewhat spacious, although we were the only ones there on a rainy afternoon. The outdoor patio would be cool to check out on a sunnier day. The bartender also told us that Cirrus's owners are currently working to open Main Line Brewery behind the distillery, so we hope to check it out soon. Bottom line: Cirrus Vodka is easy to drink and a great base for cocktails. Some of the drinks the tasting room offers could be improved a bit, but you'll probably find a favorite! read more

We went to their tasting room on a Saturday afternoon after looking up distilleries in the Richmond area. I ordered a Blackberry Smash which is a seasonal drink and my wife ordered a Jala-Pina Mule. The drinks were a little odd but got better the more we drank them. I then ordered a Cherry Limeade and my wife ordered a Dirty Blue Martini. My wife said the Martini was too strong for her and I grabbed a straw to mix up my Cherry Limeade since some Navy Hill tonic was sitting on the top of it. The Cherry Limeade was good but the Blackberry Smash was better. Their tasting room is right next door to Main Line Brewery so you can hit two different spots on the same day. We are not beer drinkers so we came for the vodka. However, we did walk over to the brewery and enjoyed some live music. The brewery also had some fire pits outside and one had a fire in it. You are not allowed to take the vodka to the beer side nor the beer to the vodka side so we just walked over with our empty cup of ice. The ambience was very casual and there was plenty of seating inside the stage area. In the summers, it looks like they have live shows in the outside stage. That area looks like it would be fun to go enjoy some music and beer/cocktails on a warm day. We will definitely go again. read more

Cirrus Vodka tasting room is a hidden gem. Cool and laid back vibes, delicious craft cocktails and a really great/intimate atmosphere. The vodka is extremely smooth and I love that it's locally made, and that all their merchandise is Virginia-made. They bartenders make the simple syrups for the drinks out of fresh stuff that they sometimes even grow in the tasting room, like mint and lemonbalm. They have a Bloody Mary bar on sundays with bacon and cheese and all kinds of good stuff like that and the best bloody mary mixes! Smooth gluten-free potato based vodka with a creaminess to it. They say it's a vodka you sip. You can get a flight of 3 or go for a full size cocktail. I did a flight of Azalea (mixture of pineapple, lime, and grenadine), blood orange crush, and limeade. These drinks are a bit dangerous because they are so good and go down so easily. They also had some cider vinegar element shrubs which I did not have a chance to try but the pear chai sounded interesting. I was able to work with the staff to organize a team event and they were great to work with. They opened their tasting room on a Wednesday to host us, provided a cocktail class with some historical trivia, and a tour of the distillery; and also helped get a food truck on premise. This is a great place to host and event! Plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a friendly crew. If you live in the area, take a break from the breweries and hit the Cirrus Vodka tasting room.
