Amazing concept! The Gin must be flammable in order to burn the gun powder, naval STRENGTH!

Quite indicative of the area. With those traditional ways comes some of the plusses and minuses of that era. But that's the fun part imo. First off, you'd be silly to not come here as they gave us our first taste for free. When it comes to unique, this definitely takes the cake. It's hard to explain but the only way to understand the uniqueness of their spirits is to straight up go there and try them. Because they're so unique, many of the 'og' style spirits I had were so far off from the norm. But that's ok. One of them wasn't for me but that's fine. I was just appreciative of being able to try it. Overall, this place is a big win. If you're in the area and are a spirits fan, stop on by! Food Taste: 5 Overall Service: 5 Value of food to cost: 5 Facility: 5 Ambiance: Walking in you almost feel like you're transported back in time. Although I have no doubt that's the intent of decor and ambiance. Repeat customer: yes Dog Friendly: no

Take a trip back in time to the colonial days and discover how modern cocktail recipes came to be. From flaming drinks to simple mojitos, each drink has a historic story of invention and who consumed them. The service is friendly and they are happy to explain everything on the menu. Their genuine passion shines through and the pours are rather generous on the flights. So drivers be aware that you won't be able to finish them! Whiskey & Rum are the primary spirits served, though there was a gin on the menu as well as a few others. The atmosphere is equally period appropriate. Will not disappoint you if this is your vibe!

We first fell in love with Virago because of their products, which is ultimately what prompted us to reach out about hosting an event in their space. After having the pleasure of not only enjoying their tasting room but also hosting our event there, we now have an entirely new appreciation for what makes Virago so special. First and foremost, a HUGE shoutout to the incredible people who made our experience so memorable- Vicki, Mike, Barry, Floyd, and everyone else we interacted with were so welcoming, friendly, and genuinely enjoyable to talk to. And Cade and Miles behind the bar absolutely knocked it out of the park. They provided some of the best hospitality we could have asked for while also making some seriously delicious drinks to complement the experience. We were even lucky enough to get a tour and hear more about the history of the facility, the people behind Virago, and the mission that drives what they do. We were completely blown away. It was one of those experiences that makes you realize there is so much more behind a great product than what you see on the shelf. Working with the Virago team from start to finish was an absolute pleasure. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure our event was handled perfectly, and it showed. Every one of our guests left happy, impressed, and in great spirits. We already had plenty of love for Virago's products before this experience, but now we have an even greater appreciation for the people behind them. We will absolutely be repeat customers, and judging by the reactions of everyone we brought with us, Virago gained quite a few new customers that day as well! Thank you to the entire Virago team for making such an important occasion for us even more special. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and we truly can't say enough good things about you all.

We each got a couple of drinks and we split two appetizers, and everything was very good. I opted for the Bonfire Buzz, which was one of the tastiest rum drinks I've had. It's made with spiced rum, apple cider and ginger beer, and definitely had a kick. We split the Red Eyed Goat and Finklestien's Nachos and both were really good. My other friend got the Beef on Weck sandwich with a side of mac and cheese and really enjoyed his meal. In addition to spirits and mixed drinks, they also offer beer and wine. This a cute place that gives back to the community, and is well worth a visit.

Just note that there is extra parking behind the building. There aren't many great food / dining options within the local area but this place really is a great place in any area. The customer service is great, food is delicious, and the atmosphere is comfy. It was so nice for us that we actually came back twice during a 4 day vacation! :) Recommendation: You have to try the tomato pie dip. It's so delicious. If you're in the area, it's absolutely worth the visit. Food Taste: 5 Overall Service: 5 Value of service to cost: 5 Facility: 5 Ambiance: Small bar that's quaint and open.
