I didn't like any of the samples I tried, so he gave me a few more options, including a frozen slushy that tasted like pine and finally a way too sweet sangria. He tried his best and was very helpful, but I just was not a fan of anything I tried. I've been to a number of wineries in VA, and while I haven't always liked everything I've tried, this was the first winery where I did not like anything.

We also devoured the massive Bavarian pretzel with cheese and mustard dips. The menu also offered salads, tacos, sandwiches, appetizers, and desserts. Did I mention how delightful the owner is? Claudia is an absolute gem. This beautiful home is in a city setting albeit a small one off two major interstates. For those who don't mind exploring a city and its culture, there are a range of restaurants and eateries to fit your budget, historical sites, parks as well as museums. Ragland Mansion is ALWAYS on my list of places to stay when I'm nearby.

Everywhere you looked, there was a stunning backdrop for wedding photos. We were especially grateful to have the day-of coordinated by Katie, who worked behind the scenes to coordinate with all of us (coming from Florida, Texas, Maryland, Tennessee, & New York) and our vendors, she even managed my sons wedding timeline. It was evident that she genuinely cared about making the day special for our family. Her dedication and professionalism shined upon us the whole time. Because of Katie's expertise and dedication, we were able to relax and truly enjoy the day without any stress or concerns.
